The Wolf With Silver WIngs

The New Car

I waited patiently while Taylor thought about what I had just asked. I could see the wheels turning in her head. It was the first time that I asked a girl out. Even though I wanted to before, I just didn’t feel comfortable because I was a guy.

I thought I was going to pass out when Taylor finally looked up at me. She smiled lightly before placing a hand on mine. “I would love to be your girlfriend!” Taylor said before pouncing me and pinning me to the bed. I felt a flutter in my stomach and then in my lower abdomen. I remembered the naughty thoughts that I had earlier today.

As we laid there, Taylor still on top of me, a thought hit me. The first thing I wanted to do was take her on a proper date. Looking up at her, I brushed her hair out of her face and asked, “do you have anything planned tomorrow?” She looked at me and shook her head. Smiling, I said, “well, then I would like to take you on a date.”

“A date, already?” She asked with happiness in her voice. I swore her eyes were going to pop out of her head from the excitement.

“Yes. I want to do this right. I know that I just asked you out, but I feel that we should have a proper date before anything else happens.” I said. She tilted her head to the side.

“Well, that’s very gentlemen like of you,” she teased. Then, in a flash, she covered her mouth and looked at me. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like that,” she said. Leaning up, I licked her cheek.

“You’re fine. I know what you meant,” I said, reassuring Taylor. She buried her face in my shoulder, still embarrassed about the slipup. Time seemed to pass by, and before long, mom was knocking on the door to tell us it was dinnertime. Taylor and I got up and went to the kitchen dining area. Everyone else was already sitting down and conversing with each other.

“Looks like the love birds finally joined us. We all thought that perhaps you all were going to stay in your room all night,” Ashley said before falling over in a giggle fit. Everyone else joined in. It was annoying. “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself,” Ashley said, wiping a tear from her eye.

“So, are you two dating or what?” Mandy asked. She was still looking at me with that same weird look like she found a cute puppy and took it home. It was both adorable and creepy.

“Well, yes, we are dating. I asked Taylor earlier,” I said matter-of-factly. I guess that satisfied her curiosity. Everyone else seemed to smile at that news except for Ashley. She had a look of shock. It was kind of funny. She teased us about being lovers, only for it to be true.

“I told you she was going to ask you out. I could sense it,” Joey said proudly. I guess that they had talked about me asking her out some time while I was bedridden. I wonder what else they had talked about, but I didn’t have time to ask because mom and one cook brought dinner out.

After dinner, Taylor and I went back to our room. The others went to the new lounge room to watch some horror films. I didn’t feel like watching a movie. I was still exhausted from training. Plus, there was that weird transformation. I was sure mom knew by now. I doubt Ashley could contain her excitement.

After changing into our night clothes, Taylor and I got into bed. We didn’t say much. We were both too tired. After laying her head on my shoulder, Taylor was asleep. I thought about everything that had happened today. Smiling contently, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up early the next morning. Stretching, I noticed that Taylor wasn’t in bed. I guess that she had already gone to the kitchen for coffee. With a little sigh, I willed myself out of bed. I didn’t even feel like changing, so I walked out of the room in my nightgown.

Walking into the kitchen, I saw Taylor and mom sitting at the table. Everyone else was probably asleep. Mom was still on her work schedule time. Without saying a word, I walked by the table and headed straight for the coffee. Grabbing a cup from the counter, I poured my coffee, then headed back to the table and sat next to Taylor.

“Good morning, my beautiful daughter,” mom said. There was something weird about her tone of voice. It was too early to figure it out, so I just nodded and sipped my coffee. “So, Taylor tells me you plan on taking her on a date,” mom continued. Again I nodded and sipped my coffee. Then I sat my cup down.

“Yes, I wanted to take her on a proper date,” I said. She nodded, then smiled again.

“Well, I guess it’s about time that I gave you your birthday present. It’s from both your father and me,” she said before she grabbed her purse. She rummaged through it until she found what she was looking for. Still smiling, she pulled out a set of keys. “I do hope you will like it. I picked it out.”

Leaving the elevator, mom led Taylor and me to the parking garage. I wondered what she got me. Walking to the end of the garage, mom stopped at a car that was covered in a tarp. I felt my tail swaying in excitement. When she pulled off the tarp, I almost fell to the ground.

Sitting in front of me was a candy apple red 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. I felt my heart skip a beat. How did my mom even find it? Although the color was different, it was the same car model used in The Fast and the Furious. I practically grew up watching those movies.

“OH MY GOD,” I screamed as I opened the driver-side door and jumped inside. It was everything I had dreamed of. “Mom, this is the best.” I continued as I examined the car. Taylor got in and sat next to me. I know I would make quite a few boys jealous in school if they saw my car.

“Now you can take your girlfriend on a date in style,” mom said. Putting the key into the ignition, I turned the key over and almost died as I heard it roar to life. Looking back at mom, I saw the grin on her face. “Now, I know that you are excited, but I think you should go get cleaned up, and we can work on doing your makeup,” mom said. With a sigh, I shut my car off and got out.

After putting the necklace on and spending almost two hours preparing, I was dressed in a black ruffle skirt and matching blouse. Mom had me wear 3’ heels. I was lucky that we wore the same size shoe, plus walking around in my natural form made it easy to walk in heels.

By twelve, it was time to take Taylor on our date. I was so nervous that I started chewing on the tips of my hair. I didn't have any idea what Taylor was wearing because she wanted it to be a surprise. Five minutes later, I heard the clicking of her heels against the cement before I saw her.

When Taylor finally came into view, I was blown away. She was wearing a robin egg blue dress, her hair was done into a bun, and she was wearing white stockings. She was stunning. As she got into the passenger-side seat, she looked at me and smiled.

“You look beautiful, Angel,” she said as she situated herself in the seat. It was cute watching her try to adjust the dress as she moved around. Her tail wasn’t doing her any favors either.

“Not as beautiful as you,” I said, unable to take my eyes off her. She blushed, and I swore for a moment, I saw her bottom lip quiver, but perhaps I saw things. “Are you ready to go?” I asked. She nodded, then buckled her seatbelt.

Starting the car up, I drove out of the garage and headed towards the destination I had in mind. With one place in mind, I started heading towards 50 Highway. I hoped that today would be an enjoyable day for her.
