The Wolf of Brockton Bay

Chapter : Basic Info

Michael King – Brute/Thinker, Changer, Mover, [Master/Trump]

A man of imposing stature, he stands at 8'2" (250cm), very well built, stark white hair, and dark brown eyes. Where once he had short black hair, his trigger incident led to his hair turning white. Originally a Repo man, working with his friends, one job brought them a little too close to Empire territory where they ran into one of the worst people you could in Earth Bet, Hookwolf. After being severely injured, and watching as his friends were torn apart in front of him, he triggered and turned into a giant black wolf, standing at 11' (335cm) at the shoulders. Fighting off Hookwolf, he managed to either drive him off, or fight him to a standstill until they decided to leave. Either way, Hookwolf left, but not before causing several casualties. None of the men he went there with survived, and while his injuries healed, scars of the fight remained on his body. It is theorized that the scars remaining are merely a psychological issue, as any other injuries after his trigger do not result in scars.

Brute/Thinker – Muscle, Regen, Sense

Possessing strength beyond what was normal for humans, and even more so when transformed into a wolf or a werewolf, King could be considered one of the heaviest hitters in Brockton Bay. However, this is merely physical strength, and that does not equate to combat prowess. While in his werewolf form, he gains power multiplicative of his human form, and in his full wolf form, his power has settles into multiplicative of his werewolf form. As his strength grows, so does his durability and regeneration rate. As a human, injuries like a bullet wound or a knife slash would heal within a minute, as a werewolf both would heal in seconds, and as a wolf it is unknown as turning into so makes it near impossible to test.

Changer – Werewolf

Able to transform into a werewolf, or even further into a full on wolf, King gains the benefits of both forms at the cost of his sanity. As a human, his senses are boosted as well as his instincts. Turning into a werewolf increases both even further, but turning into a wolf seems to switch his mind with that of an instinctual beast, only seeing things as friend, enemy, or neither. Any attacks or attempts against him would immediately set one as an enemy, and he would move to either subdue or straight out kill them.

Mover – Run

As a human, with his improved physicality, he is able to run faster than any Olympiad. As a werewolf, this is increased even more, especially if he were to use his front limbs to run like a wolf. And, as a full wolf, it would be near impossible to track him down with normal eyes, as even with his speed, he also possesses agility unlike none other, able to turn on a dime and even go from full speed to reverse in a fraction of a second, if the ground allows it.

[Master/Trump]

Unknown to the PRT, King possesses more similarities to werewolves than initially believed. While it's easy to see the strength, ferocity, fur, instincts, and all others, King's own refusal to bite into his enemies outside of his initial trigger prevented the PRT from finding out about his Master and Trump abilities. Like a werewolf, he is able to transfer his 'curse' to others, turning them into werewolves. However, more similar to a vampire than a werewolf, this transfer of power makes those he turn into his followers.

Stage 1, they will gain sharper instincts and see him in a better light than previously, often similar to early stage Stockholm syndrome.

Stage 2, when the powers have integrated with the host's body granting them increased strength, they will see King as their family, often deferring to them when they don't actively think for themselves.

Stage 3 will slowly fix their body, granting them faster regeneration and optimizing their strength, while also making King's word linger far longer in their mind, causing them to be more likely to follow his orders.

Stage 4, they will undergo their first ever transformation, turning into a werewolf for the first time. At this point, their thoughts of King becomes something like a law, something they could ignore if they really wanted to, but at risk of massive mental stress, as if they were going against their own nature.

Stage 5, their transformation stabilizes and makes them able to fully control their new powers, allowing for partial transformations. At this point, they are no longer able to ignore the orders of King, not without feeling so much psychological stress that it affects them physically, practically binding them to King.

Despite the stages of the transformation, it is entirely possible to force the transformations to occur, speeding their transformation at risk of turning them into nothing more than mindless dolls. Still able to protect themselves, the pack, and keep themselves alive, but becoming so mindbroken that they are only able to do complex tasks when ordered by King.
