"You always do this…," I cried.

When he could suspect me all the time, he would yell at me if I did the same. It was not like I ever did something that would make him feel that I might fall in love with another guy and leave him. It never happened. But he would always ask me weird things and get mad at me if I talked to another guy other than him. I was the Queen. I had to meet a lot of people and not all of them were women.

To be fair, more than half of them were men. But that did not mean he had the right to act jealous all the time.

If he could do that, what was the problem if I did it? I could have some insecurities sometimes too.

"You don't even care about how I… feel anymore! You always act so selfish! It keeps going on all the time! I'm tired of this, Dem! I'm tired of calming you down when you are jealous because of some silly things! And I can't do the same?!

I can't ask you anything like that?!"

"Darling, I don't mean it…," he said, trying to touch my face.

I slapped his hand away. "Don't touch me! I hate you…!"

I started putting butter on my bread by myself. I was very hungry suddenly and I craved nothing other than bread and butter.

As soon as I was done putting butter on my bread, I started stuffing my mouth. I was so hungry that I could not wait to take the next bite after one bite.

"The food is not going away. Don't eat so fast," he said.

"Why do you care? You don't seem to love me anymore. You are just obsessed with me. Obsession and love is not the same thing!" I barked and started eating furiously again.

"I care because you are my wife," he said calmly. "And I love you. I know I am obsessed with you. I am not denying that. But I also love you. It's not just obsession."

"Hmph…"

Just a moment later, my breath got caught in my throat and I started coughing. The coughing did not stop in a few seconds. It kept going on and on.

He handed me a glass of water. "Here you go. Drink the water."

I reluctantly took it and drank the water. I did not talk to him for a while and drank the water slowly. Then, I finished my bread.

"… I'm sorry," I said. "… I'm sorry I got mad at you. It was not my intention. I did not mean to. I am being very toxic. I am sorry.

I won't be like that again."

"It's alright. I'm sorry too. I yelled at you," he said. "I am a jealous person, but I should not go overboard. It was my fault to get mad at you when I do exactly the same thing. I'm really sorry, my love.

"… Actually, I don't like it when you act that way. I am in the wrong too. So, let's both stop acting that way," I said.

"Yeah, we should do that. We literally fought because of it."

"Hmm… And I think I am crying too much," I said. "I am getting too emotional and my reactions are getting intense. It's not normal."

"I talked to the doctor. He said it's normal," he said. "Babe, since you are pregnant, it's affecting your emotions. It's normal to feel anxious, like you do now."

I truly did feel a lot anxious. Dem was almost always with me. But when he was not, I would get anxious. It was getting hard to deal with stress as well. I could understand that I was not acting like my normal self, but I could not change by behavior just because I wanted to.

"You tend to get upset a lot too. But it's alright. It's normal," he said.

"But I am giving you a hard time…"

"Darling, it's not my stomach that will grow like a ball. It's not me who will get cramps. It's not me who has to give birth. It's you. I can do the least by trying to be by your side no matter what," he said.

I sniffled and gave him a hug. Who would be so patient even if I behaved so weirdly?

My first month had already passed. I was very worried before the first month since I had a miscarriage last time just after the first month. I was still anxious, but Dem and others helped me a lot.

Ruby and Luc visited me every single day. Iris visited me every three days and would give me handmade food. Sometimes, Abel and Athena joined her. The duke also came three times to say hi perhaps. Mom and Dad also visited me every week and sent me letter every two days asking about my health. Evan sent me a letter as well.

Overall, I was being cared for by everyone. The maids were attentive and Calix and Perita did not again mention that incident again. They were back to normal. Flint did most of the work for me and he brought his daughter to me twice, just to make sure I was comfortable holding a baby.

I fell asleep in Dem's arms that night. The next morning, when I woke up, I found Ruby in my room.

"Ah… Ruby?" I mumbled.

"Your Highness has woken up?" she said, getting up from the couch. She had been going through some documents that she had brought with her. "I have come just a while ago."

"Uhm…"

"What's wrong, Your Highness? Are you not feeling well?"

"The… toilet…"

Without a word, she quickly helped me out of the bed, holding my hand. She guided me to the toilet.

It was just my morning sickness. I did not have them every day, but once every two or three days.

My hair was already in a braid that Dem did last night. He braided my hair every night. I also liked it when he did that. It was easy to throw up with the braid since no hair would fall on my face.

Although I objected, Ruby helped me clean my face. I still did not have any cramps. Doctor Dimitri said I should expect my cramps after the 13th week or so.

"Are you feeling better now, Your Highness?" she asked.

"Yeah… My head just feels a little… But why are you here all of a sudden?" I asked. "It's not like I am not happy to see you. It's just a little surprising."

"Is Your Highness really feeling okay?"

"Of course. Did something happen?" I asked.

"Actually…," she mumbled. "My brother has woken up."

"What?!" I exclaimed. "Reece woke up? When?"

"This morning, two hours ago. Your Highness wanted to hear about it as soon as possible. So, I came to your room," she said. "But Your Highness was sleeping. So, I was waiting."

"You should have woken me up. Anyway, where is he now?"

"He has been shifted to another room."

"Take me there. I need to see him right now," I said urgently.

"Alright. I can do that."
