The Watcher of the Dimensions

" Let's go out and talk, my friend. You don't have to force yourself."

Strange followed Arthur's suggestion, going out with him to the balcony. The fresh air hit his face while he tried to look cheerful to Arthur who was worried about his mental health.

" I am fine, Arthur. I guess I was a type that worked night and day."

Strange's words made him sigh, showcasing how difficult heroes' lives were. They always their lives for their heroic identity and the world to create a better place for all, yet their sacrifice would go unnoticed.

" You know that place we always go to when we used to hang out. Let's go there and drink. Who knows maybe you would find a new way to calm yourself."

Strange wanted to refuse his invitation but as a friend, he understood what he was trying to do and he wasn't willing to hurt his feelings.

" Fine. It is on you."

Arthur smiled brightly at his words while tapping his shoulder with a big goofy face which made him smile a little bit. Even in his darkest time, his friend was willing to do this was a good thing.

However, their friendly chat didn't last long before both of them felt space tremble. Especially after the last incident they knew where this was coming from.

" Someone entered our dimension. We need to hurry to the sanctuary."

Strange and Arthur instantly teleported to the sanctuary, looking at the two figures. One was their familiar friend aka neighbor Strange while the other was an unknown girl.

" What are you doing here and why are you injured?"

Strange 2 didn't waste time before explaining what happened to them and someone was chasing after them.

" You are saying you are attacked by someone and they are going after this girl?"

Arthur looked at the girl with a calm face, attempting to understand what was her power because she had some sort of unique power.

" Exactly. Somebody was using dark arts to find her and my other version died before my eyes."

Strange sighed at his other self, summoning tea and sofa to the room as they sat there with different faces.

Arthur raised his head to look at the girl, thinking she might know who was chasing after her and why they killed Strange who was with her.

" Tell me, girl. What makes you so special? "

Arthur put his face on his hand, prying into her eyes while feeling her soul deep within her mind. His deep eyes were like an abyss which drew Chavez deep inside even though she wanted to get out.

" Dimensional traveling. I can travel through dimensions without any problem except I can't control it."

Our Strange groaned at her words, knowing time and space were taboo among them since they had been involved with it multiple times by now.

" Fascinating power but not really desirable unless the perpetrator must have a certain goal that they couldn't attain in their world.

If I am right, they are trying to find a thing that doesn't exist in their world."

Arthur analyzed the situation in a single breath as both of them held their breaths. Certainly they thought the enemy must be after something but never believed this goal was this simple to guess.

" Then what should we do? I can alert our sorcerers to make a barrier and protect this girl."

Arthur shook at his words, shifting his gaze to the corner of the sanctuary where he saw a flickering crimson light.

" You don't need to hide yourself, Wanda. I can see you clear as a day and you know crossing the dimension with that ability is taboo among sorcerers."

Wanda who was taken by surprise, revealed herself from the darkness as the stench of blood hit their noses.

" What do you mean that?"

The other Strange didn't understand his words immediately, thinking they were misunderstanding something but the reality was cruel.

Wanda who was grief-stricken by her ill fate, looked at the man who was protecting the order and fate in his world with a calm face.

" You must be the leader of this world. I don't know who you are and how you found me but all I desire is that girl. If you give her to me, I will spare your life."

Wanda's eyes glowed crimson under Arthur's smug face.
