S1E22 – Revenge is a Dish
Before leaving, I make sure to take the rifle off George’s back and store it in my inventory.

I’ll have to comb through this place before I leave. After all, all that shit stored in the other room is from them robbing people. It’ll go bad if I don’t take it. After taking that, I leave the room quietly. I peek out the door and look up the stairs, seeing nobody. I make my way over to the other room, noticing that it’s dark outside the window. Despite that, there’s enough moon to see the horde of walkers moving outside the building.
A chill runs down my spine as I bring my revolver out of my inventory. At the very least, I should be ready to fire if they draw a gun. I slowly open the door. Looking inside, I see that the entire room is pitch black, minus one part. V, laying on the pallets, watching a movie. Thanks to the light from the tv, she isn’t able to see me. And thanks to them using WD-40 on the door hinges, she can’t hear me either. I enter the room and slowly close the door while remaining slightly crouched. I slowly make my way behind the TV, making sure to avoid the light bouncing off the walls. Then, I speak while pointing my gun at V,
“Don’t fucking reach for anything.”
This causes her to jump and freeze. She sees the gun peeking out from behind the TV, and then sees my face covered in blood. She blinks and speaks in a slightly panicked tone,
“P-Penny?”
I speak in a cold voice,
“Yup. That would be me.”
I slowly walk out from behind the TV, causing the girl to slightly shy away. As I look down at her, I notice that she keeps looking at and away from my eyes. Tears start forming in the corners of her eyes as she says,
“Th-there’s no need for that! Y-you can go! I-I’m sorry!”
I shake my head no,
“Nah. It’s past time for that. I already killed two of you.”
Her eyes open wide as her hands fall to her sides. She looks up at me and says,
“K-Kelsie?”
I smirk slightly,
“I slit her throat and stabbed her in the skull. George took a bit more to take down, but he ended the same way. All that’s left is you and Ricardo.”
She looks back down at the ground as tears flow from her eyes like waterfalls. Anger starts to grow on her face, as she speaks,
“We… We weren’t gonna kill you… So why? Why do this?”
I wipe the sweat and blood from my forehead and shrug my shoulders,
“If it weren’t me, my group woulda killed you anyways. Considering there were about a dozen of us. Plus, Ricardo has thoroughly pissed me off.”
She laughs weakly as I keep the revolver trained on her head. I speak up again, with a little bit of pain in my voice,
“Y’know… That was my first time. I really thought the two of us clicked. I thought that maybe this world wasn’t all so bad. Maybe other people can be trusted at least a little. But…”
I sigh, and look at the crying girl,
“Thank you.”
She looks at me with confusion as I move the revolver to my left hand. I continue on,
“Thank you for teaching me that I was wrong. I should’ve realized. I shouldn't have had such naive thoughts. Especially when I know how this story pans out. How fucked up this world truly is. And… Goodbye.”
As I finish talking to her, I bring the woodcutter axe into my right hand and swing it at her. She jumps and puts up her arm to try and save herself, but the weight of the axe knocks her arm to the side with the long handle, and embeds the steel blade halfway through her skull. I watch as her body tenses up from nerves, and slowly goes limp. I scoff as I see her fall over,
“Damn shame. She was pretty hot, too.”
