The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 223: Chapter 235 Getting worse

"How is it going."

"Martinez is giving a speech. Almost everyone in Woodbury has gone there, but it's unclear how effective it will be."

Carl nodded.

Sean continued, "Martinez has already told us the location of the weapons depot, as well as the location of important supplies such as medicine, food, and fuel in Woodbury.

Daryl took people to the armory, T and Glenn went to the warehouse, Rick and Michonne were keeping an eye on Martinez, but I think this job should be given to Maul.

Rick's mental state is not right. Have you... told him?"

Having said that, Sean looked hesitantly at Moore, who was leaning against the pickup truck with a unhappy look on his face.

Carl looked around and found that there were indeed not many people on this street in Woodbury. The entire Woodbury was already under the control of Sean's men, so nothing would go wrong.

"I told my father. He needs time to accept it. But with Michonne here, it won't be a big problem. I need Maul to help me with some personal matters."

"Private matter?" Sean raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Well, don't ask, I won't tell you." Karl nodded indifferently.

"Sean, I think you should also go and check out the situation in Martinez. I'm afraid it won't be so easy for others to agree to leave. After all, this is their home, and the governor they trust the most is not here.

Although Martinez is the second-in-command, he doesn't really care about Woodbury's daily affairs. With so many strangers, it's not difficult for Woodbury residents to guess what conspiracy this is."

"I know. I've been thinking about it too. I'm afraid it would be impossible to move everyone away today without using some force." Sean frowned slightly. He didn't want to do this unless it was necessary.

"Sean, go ahead and do it. As long as you don't kill anyone, if necessary, killing a few as a deterrent is no big deal."

"Karl, you…" Sean's face became even uglier.

"Sorry, just a casual remark." Karl smiled and shrugged. After thinking for a while, he gave a few more instructions.

"By the way, remember to take all the horses on the lawn with you. There is a man named Meru who is taking care of the horses. He is very useful. He is not a native of Woodbury, so you can take him and the horses away first. He will not object.

Also, there is a Dr. Stevens in Woodbury. Be gentle with her. She is a very good person. If it weren't for her, you probably wouldn't have seen me."

"I will. Anything else?" Sean frowned and thought, then nodded subconsciously.

"There doesn't seem to be anything else worth mentioning. Also, the seventh house on the east side of Woodbury has a basement underneath, and the second house on the west side also has a basement.

The first one is where Woodbury keeps the prisoners. Remember to check if there is anyone there. The second one is a simple laboratory. I will check it out when I am done."

After Karl finished speaking, he waved his hand and said, "I'm going to get busy first. You don't need to send anyone to that building. Moore and I will search it."

Sean frowned and looked at Carl's back as he walked towards the pickup truck. He turned and left without saying anything.

"Let's go, Moore." Carl nodded to Moore.

Moore sat in the driver's seat, looked at Carl in the passenger seat, and tilted his head, "Sean doesn't know about this, right?"

"I don't know, only you know." Carl said softly.

"Haha... I'm really honored."

Moore started the pickup truck and stopped at the small building not far ahead.

Karl got out of the car first, "Follow me."

There was no one in the building. Carl took Moore straight to the third floor without stopping and stopped behind the familiar door.

Looking at this familiar door, Karl's expression became uncontrollably ferocious.

I have been in Woodbury for almost half a year, and it has been just over a year since the disaster.

Excluding the days on the road, the time in jail and on the farm combined equaled that in Woodbury.

This is also the reason why a lie can compete with the truth. It has been so long that it is almost impossible to distinguish between lies and reality.

"Hey, kid, are you okay?" Moore couldn't help but reach out and pat Carl's shoulder.

"I'm going to pick up your Penny soon. Don't make a fuss now. If something goes wrong, you will lose her forever. Believe me, I don't want to see this either. I need your cooperation."

This is what Carl said to himself in his heart, another self.

Carl's frown slowly relaxed. As expected, Penny could calm him down. He smiled at Moore and shook his head.

"It's okay, just a little nostalgic."

"Kid, if you don't have the key, get out of the way. Uncle More is here to knock on the door." As he said this, More stretched his muscles and seemed eager to try.

Maybe More wanted to let off some steam, even if it was just to the door, because this was just too crazy, what was about to happen.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I have the key." Carl took out the key, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned it slowly.

The door opened.

Carl walked in.

"Tsk, why should I be disappointed?" Moore also followed him in.

Looking at the familiar layout, Carl was a little dazed, even though he had just left not long ago.

But it feels like a lifetime ago. After today, I am afraid I will never see anything here again.

Although there is nothing worth remembering, after all, I have lived here for such a long time that I would develop feelings for it even if I didn't have any.

Carl is a very nostalgic person, which means that Carl may always like new things, but he will never get tired of the old things. His feelings will only become stronger as time goes by.

"You little brat, it looks like you're having a good time here, don't you? Damn, it's better than the prison cell."

Moore seemed to have an itch if his feet were not moving, and he had to kick a chair that was placed neatly next to the dining table until it tilted over.

"Believe me, this is not a good memory." Carl turned his head to look at Moore and walked towards the bedroom.

Moore hurriedly followed and became more alert. He knew there was a zombie inside, and as Carl said, it was very obedient and would not hurt anyone.

Moore just thought he was talking nonsense. How could a zombie do that? Moore was even a little worried about Carl, but he didn't know how to express it.

Moore subconsciously wanted to draw the dagger, but hesitated for a moment, then thought of what Carl had said and stopped himself.

"Moir, don't hurt her, absolutely. It will drive me crazy, it will drive Carl crazy, and I don't know what I will do."

There were no threatening words, but Moore still remembered Carl's expression clearly. He was not pretending, but simply serious. Very serious. Moore had never seen Carl so serious.

There is also a vague fear, as if the fear is that something like this will really happen.

Moore looked at Carl who was approaching the bedroom door and couldn't help but frowned.

Shit, that's fucking crazy.

Moore couldn't help but curse in his heart.

Falling in love with a zombie? Is there anything crazier than this?

Yes, the second personality fell in love with a zombie because of his lies.

Add some preconditions and it sounds even crazier.

This is what More knew, too many details, too much nonsense for More to remember, he only remembered this conclusion.

Then I have to help him send it back to prison without anyone knowing.

Shit! Am I crazy too?

Why should I agree?
