Chapter 213: Chapter 224 is
Carl was silent.
Like a lamb,
The Lamb who will be judged.
Carl didn't agree with a lot of things Beth said.
But Carl couldn't refute because Beth wouldn't like it and he might lose Beth.
Carl didn't know what to do or how to act.
In fact, I should have expected this. How could there be no disagreements between two people?
However, what I experienced and what Beth experienced were very different.
This also led to Carl being very clear that his personality and Beth's were completely different, even worlds apart.
From three perspectives to how to behave in society.
But before this, Carl had never expected that the first disagreement would be because of his own personality and his attitude towards others' personality.
And it was the first day of our reunion after a long separation.
Carl didn't know what to say to save the situation and get himself and Beth back to the way they were when they first met.
Carl wanted to think as rationally as possible about how to solve this problem, but it was not a question with no definite answer.
This is a contradiction. So what should we do if two people have different ideas? Can we still go on? What if it is impossible to change?
Carl likes the peaceful and warm feeling when he is with Beth, and he doesn't want to lose it.
If possible, it would be great if there were only these, but how can things in the world be as we wish? Everything has two sides.
"Carl, are you listening to me?" Beth pouted, even more dissatisfied.
"Sorry, I..." Carl shook his head, a little bewildered.
"Carl, what's wrong?" Beth put her hand on Carl's shoulder, "Carl, did I say something too harsh?"
"No, not at all." Carl shook his head and looked at Beth, with many emotions in his eyes, as if he was telling something.
"Carl, your expression always makes me feel guilty about bullying a child." Beth pouted and wanted to laugh.
"Sorry, I'll try not to be so childish next time." Carl grabbed Beth's hand, a little nervous.
"Damn, I didn't say you were childish. Not necessarily. Childishness isn't an expression, nor is it...well, anyway, I think it's cute." Beth finally couldn't help laughing.
"Hehe..." After laughing, he touched Carl's head, then put his right arm around Carl's shoulders and continued to walk slowly on the grass.
"Karl, sometimes I may not have thought through what I said. You don't have to take it too seriously. I mean those heartbreaking words. Maybe I should be more tactful."
"It's okay, I can bear a lot as long as you are by my side. As for my personality, I..." Carl tilted his head slightly and leaned on Beth. When he said this, he became a little nervous again.
"Karl, you know, every time I see your cute little face saying sweet words seriously, I always want to laugh."
Beth's face returned to a natural smile, as if nothing that had just happened had happened.
"Is it funny? Actually, I didn't mean to say anything sweet on purpose. I just told the truth."
But Carl didn't forget. Some things can be glossed over, but they can't be glossed over forever. Beth wanted to put aside this topic which was a bit heavy for her.
But this is not the best solution. Too much accumulation will happen, and at some point, the last fuse will set off everything.
"No, I didn't say it was funny. I quite like this feeling."
"Thank you." Carl lowered his head slightly, "But Beth..."
"What's the matter?"
Karl hung his head, a little frustrated, "You don't have to accommodate me too much, like this, I don't want you to change because of me."
"Damn it, Carl, why do you always think so much?" Beth patted Carl helplessly, stopped, turned around, looked at Carl and said:
"Herschel Greene once told me that true love is about mutual accommodation, about both parties being willing to change for each other, about both parties being willing to accommodate each other's shortcomings. Love, after all, is something that both parties have to pay for, but I don't think we've reached that point yet.
Logically speaking, we should still be in the honeymoon period, so Karl, don't think too much, be more natural, I don't want you to be too stressed by my relationship with me."
Carl looked at Beth, blinked and smiled. Beth could say these words entirely because of him. Although she was a little reluctant, she was more moved.
"Thank you." Carl hugged Beth.
"I told you, there's no need to be like this." Beth sighed helplessly, patted Carl on the back with a slight smile.
"But you actually called Hershel's name. Hershel would beat you to death if he knew." Carl laughed.
"Well, he doesn't know anyway. Who made him upset?" Beth smiled smugly, and then said to Carl helplessly, "Okay, Carl, stop hugging me. Didn't we say we were going to see Bucephalus? I'll hold him slowly when we get back."
"Yeah." Carl nodded, let go of Beth, looked at Beth and smiled again, "Beth, why aren't you shy now?"
"Humph, what are you shy about? Go away!"
"OK."
The prison's stable is made of iron sheets and wood and is located at the rear side of the prison.
"Who built this? It's pretty nice." Carl looked at the stable in front of him.
"Herschel can take Sean and the others, who else could it be?" Beth pouted, seeming a little unhappy.
"How did Hershel offend you?" Carl asked curiously.
"It's none of your business." Beth snorted, unlatched the outside door of the stable, and walked in.But as soon as he walked in, his steps paused slightly.
"It's quite dark, Beth. Wait for me outside. I'll go." Carl walked to Beth's side.
"Damn, I forgot to bring the flashlight. Who knew you would come now?" Beth crossed her arms and snorted.
"It's okay, I can see clearly, I'll be out soon."
Carl turned around, smiled, and stepped into the stable. It was indeed a bit dark in the stable, and the few vents that were barely called windows could not admit much moonlight.
Walking down the hay-covered aisle in the middle, Karl called softly, "Bucephalus."
"Bucephalus."
At the second sound, Karl heard Bucephalus's snorting response.
Carl smiled, walked closer to the place where the sound came from, untied the reins, and did not rush to reminisce with Bucephalus, but led it out first.
"Bucephalus has been missing you, too," Beth smiled.
"Really?" Carl smiled, patted Bucephalus' neck, and put his head close to him, "Buddy, do you really miss me?"
Bucephalus blinked, then snorted in dissatisfaction and nudged Carl with his head.
"Damn it, man, stop it." Carl quickly held Bucephalus' head and laughed happily.
"Beth, let's take Bucephalus for a walk."
"Of course, even though it's already twelve o'clock." Beth smiled helplessly.
"But the moonlight tonight is beautiful. It is a night worth remembering."
"If you feel that way, then yes."
So, Carl held Bucephalus's reins in his right hand and Beth in his left hand.
On such a moonlit night with stars dotted in the sky, stroll on the open and fresh grass.
