The Villain’s Perspective

While Lucifer was resting with his eyes closed, enjoying the cool air of nature, he heard a strange sound near him. He slowly opened his eyes, and a system notification appeared in front of him.

[Congratulations, you have received your Destiny]

There was no word in the dictionary that could describe Lucifer's happiness right now. He had just successfully escaped from Hell and received a Destiny that would help him a lot in the future at the same time.

Previously, Lucifer had hoped that he would receive a Destiny related to heroes and of a high level. So now he was very excited to check his Destiny.

Lucifer froze. Without hesitation, he immediately opened his system panel.

Lucifer didn't know whether he should be happy or sad after looking at his system panel.

On one hand, he felt sad because the Destiny he received was Villain, the complete opposite of a hero. Moreover, if someone found out that his Destiny was Villain, he would have a bad ending. But fortunately, people in this world had the right to keep quiet about their Destiny. So Lucifer didn't need to worry too much about being discovered by other people.

On the other hand, Lucifer felt very happy because he could increase the level of his Destiny to the highest level, which was Unpredictable. Destiny was divided into many levels as follows: Nothing => Awakened => Ascended => Transmigration => Reborn => Super => Supreme => Deity => Above all => Unpredictable.

Of which, Unpredictable was the highest level. In the novel he wrote, the number of people who had received the Unpredictable level could be counted on one hand. And the protagonist was one of those people.

He was probably able to achieve the Unpredictable level thanks to his Potential being Uncountable. But Lucifer's current Destiny Rank was only Nothing, so he still had to work hard to reach the maximum level. To do so, he had to increase his Experience.

In order to collect Experience, Lucifer had to destroy supreme entities at different levels. But the problem was that with Lucifer's current body, it was almost impossible for him to kill even a Beast level monster.

At first, Lucifer was a little worried about not receiving an Ability when awakening his Destiny, but now he didn't have to worry anymore because his first Ability notification had appeared.

Basically, this Ability allowed Lucifer to move through shadows or shades. Wherever there was darkness or shade, he could use this Ability. It seemed that the skill was useful for escape and assassination.

While Lucifer was still looking at his skill board, Mask, who was resting her head on Lucifer's lap, started to groan.

It seemed like her illness was getting worse by the second. Lucifer stopped looking at his skill board and glanced up at the starry sky.

'The heroes are really late.'

Hell's headquarters was located in the middle of a dark and dense forest. Normally, places like this would have a lot of monsters, but Hell had a barrier that prevented monsters from entering.

Currently, Lucifer had been sitting here for 5 minutes. He kept looking at the starry sky and then back at the dark forest around Hell to kill time while waiting for the heroes.

5 minutes had passed, but Hell's alarm was still ringing endlessly. It could be seen that they were still struggling to deal with the monsters below.

There were only 5 minutes left before all the doors in Hell would be completely closed, trapping everyone else inside.

While Lucifer was still immersed in nature, he suddenly heard running and panting sounds from inside the building. It seemed like someone was trying to escape from the monsters below.

Lucifer gently pushed Mask away and went near the main entrance to see who was running up. He pulled out his gun that had only 2 bullets left and mentally prepared himself in case it was a monster or a guard.

The running sounds became clearer and clearer.

Inside, a guy about Lucifer's age was sprinting towards the exit in a panic. That boy had golden hair and blood-red eyes. There was no doubt that he was Lucian, one of the protagonist's companions.

His body was covered with life-threatening wounds. He must have tried to fight a monster before giving up.

Lucifer lowered his gun after realizing it was Lucian.

"Help!" Lucian shouted as he ran towards Lucifer.

A few seconds later, Lucian passed out right after he had gotten out of the building through the main entrance. His body must have been completely overloaded.

It was already 7:09. There were only a few dozen seconds left before all the doors would be completely locked. Lucifer was currently chilling in the middle of the entrance with a gun in his hand. He would shoot anyone who tried to escape.

A few seconds later, the doors of all the elevators opened at the same time. From there, dozens of guards and professors were rushing towards the slowly closing door.

"Please save us!" They shouted after seeing Lucifer.

Because they were too busy sprinting and didn't pay attention to the obstacles around them, they all slipped and fell down because of the pool of blood from the battle just now. It was too late for them to escape in time.

They stared at Lucifer with a blank, pleading, and desperate gaze.

Outside, Lucifer took off his mask, revealing a contemptuous smile and raised his middle finger at them.

The door was completely closed. The last thing Lucifer saw was the desperate faces of the people inside and the monsters pouring out from the elevators and the stairs.

'That's what you deserve.'

Lucifer glanced around again to see if any heroes had appeared. As a result, no one had come to save them yet. Maybe they were just late or even worse, they didn't receive the distress signal.

Lucifer closed his eyes and prayed that they were just late.

Suddenly, Lucifer's heart stopped beating for 2 seconds. He sensed his entire body froze from the cold. His eyeballs widened and his breathing instantly became heavier.

A message appeared in front of Lucifer:
