### Anti-hero Young Master Only Wants to Live a Buddhist Life
By: Beneath the Person
Young nobleman Dark Demon, during the house division ceremony at the Dueling Academy, finally recalled his memories from his past life. He found himself reborn in a world that could be considered an ultimate Frankenstein’s monster Galgame universe.
And he was the ultimate antagonist in the game—the Demon God of the Seven Deadly Sins!
Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, Bliss!
Once any one of these seven indicators exceeds its critical value, it will transform him irrevocably into a Great Demon God!
In Saint Maryan where all demons have been annihilated and the Demon King is in eternal slumber, no heretic can survive!
“Huh? So as long as I don’t turn into a Demon God, everything will be fine?”
One must avoid pride, impatience, anger, delusion, greed, lust, envy, and laziness.
Dark Demon only wants to live a Buddhist life.
“So can you guys stop clinging to me like some kind of plant?”
Mana Spirit Card Setting Collection
Mana Spirit Cards are divided into five major categories: Elemental Cards, Magic Spell Cards, Item Cards, Field Cards, and Secret Rite Cards.
Beyond these, there are also Divine Cards and Mystery Cards!
Divine Cards are those imbued with “divine power.”
Mystery Cards refer to “unknown cards”!
…
Elemental Cards can summon Mana Spirits!
Elemental Cards have seven main data points.
① True Name: Only by calling out the true name can one summon the Mana Spirit.
② Level: Represented by the number of stars, ordinary summoning spells can only summon spirits from one star to four stars; spirits above four stars require special summoning techniques!
③ Race: There are fifteen races for Elemental Cards, including Human, Subhuman, Dragon, Angel, Demon, Undead, Elemental, Fairy, Mechanical, Insect, Reptile, Avian-beast, Plant, Fish, and Phantom.
④ Attribute: There are twenty attributes for Elemental Cards, including Normal, Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel, Fairy, Light, and Dark.
⑤ Mana: Mana is both the Life Value and the energy required to use Ultimate Skills. Once Mana reaches zero, the Mana Spirit disappears and cannot be summoned again until it refills.
⑥ Attack and Defense: Numerical representation of the Elemental’s attack and defense capabilities.
⑦ Ultimate Skill: The skill of the Elemental, which requires Mana consumption. White cards have no skills, Blue cards have one skill, Purple cards have two skills, and Orange cards have three skills.
—Summoning Spell Setting Collection
Summoning Spells are a technique based on Mana Spirit Cards, capable of bringing out various entities such as Mana Spirits, Items, and Potions sealed within the cards.
It is said that even deeper levels include Sacrificial Summoning Spells, Fusion Summoning Spells, Ritual Summoning Spells, and Reverse Flow Summoning Spells among others.
Some Mana Spirit Cards come with special summoning incantations!
The proficiency in Summoning Spells determines how many Mana Spirit Cards a Duelist can use within the same time frame.
In short, if your Summoning Spell takes 5 seconds and your opponent takes 3 seconds, they can act 2 seconds earlier than you.
If your Summoning Spell has a cooldown of 30 seconds, then you can’t even use a second Mana Spirit Card within a minute.
The famous Duel Master Swiss Lu Xun once said, “Summoning Spells determine the upper and lower limits of a Duelist.”
[Standard Summoning Spell]
Mana Spirit Cards are categorized by stars. The first tier includes stars one to three, the second tier includes stars four to six, the third tier includes stars seven to nine, and anything above nine stars is the fourth tier.
With each tier, the casting time and cooldown for standard summoning increase.
The casting time and cooldown for the first three-star summoning can be compressed to a maximum of 3 seconds.
From the fourth star onwards, the minimum casting time is 1 minute.
For the seventh star, it requires at least 30 minutes.
For anything above the ninth star, it starts at 3 hours, and some Mana Spirits might take days, nights, or even months of continuous casting to summon!
During the initial stages of Mana Spirit Card technology development, even Magus with high-level Mana Spirit Cards found it difficult to summon them in direct combat.
Each summoning of a high-level Mana Spirit required a large number of guards.
Until about thirty years ago, a special summoning technique emerged, allowing Magus to summon higher-level Mana Spirits by sacrificing lower-level ones, significantly reducing the summoning time.
However, each sacrifice irreparably damages the lower-level Mana Spirit Cards.
Only recently has this technique been refined to not damage lower-level Mana Spirit Cards and officially named “Sacrificial Summoning Spell.”
[Sacrificial Summoning Spell]
Sacrificial Summoning Spell is a special technique born from the extremely long summoning times of Mana Spirits four stars and above.
The core of Sacrificial Summoning Spell lies in the accumulation of stars.
Regardless of the number of cards, it’s purely about accumulating stars.
The essential criterion is that to summon a Mana Spirit from the third tier, the offering must include at least a second-tier Mana Spirit, and so forth.
—First-Year Course Schedule
Astronomy is an “interest class,” only offered when Professor Didi gives notice.
This means that during the first month of enrollment, there won’t be any astronomy classes.
Similarly, Monster Mastery is on Fridays!
It is rumored that Monster Mastery will start next semester.
There is a high chance it will be further delayed.
First-year students are not allowed to enter the underground dungeon outside the castle, making it difficult to learn Monster Mastery well.
Thus, a week consists of only six classes: Summoning Spell, Mana Theory, Potions, Duel, Arithmetic, and History of Magic, with two sessions each.
This can be considered very relaxed!
