The Unforeseen Baron's Ascent

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Creator's Will

The dense darkness, which moments ago had felt like a peaceful blanket, now began to tear away. Not by blinding light, but by an aura so majestic, so pure, that Aditya felt his very soul tremble. He no longer felt the cold office floor or the ache of his exhausted body. Instead, he floated in a warm void, a boundless space that felt like the very core of existence itself.

Before him, a Luminous Entity began to form. Not in an identifiable physical shape, but as a pure mass of light emitting an infinite spectrum of colors, slowly swirling like a miniature galaxy. Strangely, though the light was intensely bright, Aditya's eyes felt no pain or glare. He was simply transfixed, captivated by this indescribable grandeur.

A pressing question surfaced in his mind: What is this? Is this death? Or just the final hallucination of an exhausted brain?

His heart, which should have stopped, now pounded violently, pumping cold waves of fear through his consciousness. Terror mingled with an undeniable awe. He wanted to scream, to ask questions, but his voice caught in his throat, trapped in a silent wonder.

Then, the voice came. Not a sound heard by the ears, but a resonance that echoed directly within his soul, penetrating every cell and thought. Gentle, yet imbued with infinite authority,

the voice spoke, "Aditya Putra, the time has come for you to rest from your arduous life."

Aditya flinched. That name. How did this entity know his name? His fear intensified, mixing with overwhelming confusion.

"I am God, the Creator of all realms and all life," the voice continued, as if reading every turmoil in Aditya's mind. "I have witnessed your struggles, your sacrifices, and your regrets."

Regrets. The word hit Aditya like a tidal wave. Yes, there were so many regrets. But above all, what gnawed most at his heart were his parents. He was their only child. Who would look after them now?

"Wait!" Aditya cried out, his voice hoarse, filled with genuine despair.

"My parents… what about them? Will they be alright? I'm their only child, they only have me! If I die, who will take care of them? Can you… can you ensure they'll be healthy and prosperous?" His plea was sincere, coming from the deepest part of his heart, beyond his own fear of death.

God paused, His light subtly pulsing, as if absorbing every emotion Aditya projected.

"I see your sincere concern for your parents, and it is proof of how pure your soul is. Because of your kindness and deeds in your past life, I can assure you they will find the strength to carry on, and in time, peace will come to them. Do not worry, the good you have given them will not be in vain."

Aditya felt a slight relief, though a lingering doubt remained. He looked at the luminous entity again, a sudden courage born from his despair.

"And… if You are God, why am I here? Why didn't I go to heaven or hell? Isn't that what happens after death?"

"Heaven and hell are part of the system I created to guide souls," God replied, His voice calm yet full of wisdom.

"However, I also have other ways to maintain balance and spread the threads of life throughout My creation. As for why you are here, neither in heaven nor hell, it is because I willed it."

That answer, so simple and absolute, stunned Aditya. No complex explanations, no philosophical reasons. Just pure will. A will capable of creating and destroying universes.

"Every life is a thread in the grand tapestry of destiny," God continued, His light expanding slightly, as if to show the vastness of His creation.

"And sometimes, a thread needs to be moved to a different pattern to create a greater design. The movement of souls like yours, though unseen by mortal eyes, is part of My grand plan. Even the progress in your own world, the technology and discoveries you call 'innovation,' often stem from the unseen touch of My will, sometimes through the movement of souls like this. Your soul, Aditya Putra, holds untapped potential, a seed that needs to be planted in different soil."

Aditya remained silent, trying to process it all. A thought too vast for his mortal brain. He, an ordinary office worker, now stood before the Creator, hearing about universal destiny.

"Your life ended too soon, marked by hard work and loneliness," God said again, His tone filled with compassion. "I offer you a second chance, Aditya Putra. An opportunity to be reborn into a different world, a world where swords and magic are reality. A world called Amrita."

Aditya's eyes widened. Amrita. The name felt unfamiliar yet, somehow, resonated with an ancient echo. A world of swords and magic? It was like the fantasy stories he used to read to escape the stress of work. A world that only existed in imagination.

"In this world of Amrita," God continued, "you will have the chance to live a different life, to grow stronger, and perhaps… to find the happiness you could not achieve in your previous life. You will have the opportunity to forge your own destiny, to rewrite your story. However, remember, every choice has its consequences. The path you choose there will shape your true destiny."

Aditya's fear slowly receded, replaced by a burning curiosity and a spark of hope. A second chance? In a fantasy world? It seemed impossible, yet before God, anything felt possible. This was no longer about mere survival, but about life.

"Do you accept this offer, Aditya Putra?" God asked, His light shining brighter again, as if awaiting the answer that would determine everything.

Aditya took a deep breath, gathering every ounce of courage he possessed. Although immense uncertainty awaited him, he had nothing to hold onto in his previous life. His life on Earth had ended with regret. This was a chance to rewrite everything.

"I… I accept," Aditya replied with a sudden surge of determination, a decision that would change everything.

As Aditya uttered those words, God's light intensified, drawing him into a warm, gentle vortex of energy. The sensation of floating and spinning made him lose consciousness once more, as his tired soul, now imbued with new hope, was pulled across the boundaries of dimensions, towards an unforeseen dawn in the world of Amrita.
