The Twelve Heroes

- Knight: Hero Catter, grab this sword!

[The knight who came running with all his strength throws a sword at him.]

- Thank you, gentleman!

[The hero watches as the sword falls to his side and bends down to pick it up. He sees that the six seconds have finally passed and he has finished healing. Catter yells at the knight to stay out of the fight. Upon hearing these words, the knight nods his head and leaves the place.]

- Come on, Ángel, now we can fight. Come get closer.

- Angel: (Damn, I thought this human was alone, but what is this about a hero? And the most unpleasant thing is that I'm running out of time on my magic. I only have 20 seconds left, I have to kill him.) Look who's saying it, you're at a disadvantage, you foolish human. Can't you see that you're still trapped in my earth magic?

[The angel gains momentum and, with the help of its wings, flies towards Catter, beginning to give him light cuts on his arms and legs at high speed. But Catter, thanks to his physical ability, is able to withhold his attacks, although he still takes hits from the angel.]

- Tell me, angel, is your entire race this strong?

- Ángel: No, not really. I am one of the seven most powerful captains of the race of angels that exist. I am the third strongest.

- Hahaha! I see, like you're one of the strongest of your race. Then I won't hold back.

[Catter notices that the mud is no longer as sticky as it was at first and begins to believe that the angel's magical power is running out.]

- I see, I can now move comfortably. Angel, your magic power is reaching its limit, isn't it?

- Ángel: Hahaha, did you notice? I'm already reaching my limit. (I won't be able to continue with this magic, I have to deactivate it, otherwise I will run out of magic and I won't be able to keep that silly elf trapped.)

[Catter begins to move better than before, to the point of jumping and escaping the angel's magical power. As he leaves the trap, he runs towards the angel, who also runs towards him. Catter begins to move her sword and his body at high speed. The angel, seeing this, also begins to move quickly. Both quickly attack each other, wounding each other's legs and arms. The angel begins to feel tired and heavy in his arms. His body already had many wounds, just like Catter, but what differentiated them is that Catter could heal within six seconds, while the angel, having lost so much blood, could no longer stand.]

- Angel: I won't lose to a foolish human like you! You don't know how much we've sacrificed for this silly girl!

- Sounds good to me, I won't lose either!

[Catter begins to slowly lose strength, but does not give up. He wants to save that elf no matter what. The angel begins to lose speed. Catter takes advantage of his speed, attacks and pierces the angel's chest. The angel also attacks and pierces Catter's belly again, but he can no longer fight. He starts spitting blood out of his mouth. Catter pulls the sword out of the angel's chest. He touches his chest and, with a sad look, stares at Catter.]

- Ángel:Hey, thank you... thank you for fighting with me. I had... I had a lot of fun. Please... PLEASE, do not hesitate with the... race of... angels. The gods have us fighting... forced. We...we didn't want to fight, but they forced us. I'm sorry.

[The angel begins to cry, slowly loses his balance and falls to the ground, closing his eyes. Catter approaches the angel and says a few words to him before dying.]

- Rest in peace, but it's also no excuse for what you were thinking of doing with that elf.

[To die, the angel fades away, and the magic of the angel that had trapped the elf will disperse.]

- Are you okay, girl? You're not hurt.

[Catter tries to walk towards where the elf girl was, but having no more strength, he falls to the floor, fainting, face down. The knight, seeing that Catter falls unconscious, quickly runs to catch him.]

[Catter begins to hear his own voice, as if he were whispering in his own ear.]

[Catter, opening his eyes, finds himself lying next to a tree. He sees the elf's face staring at him. She caresses his head, crying uncontrollably, and rushes towards Catter, hugging him tightly.]

[Catter begins to pet the elf girl's head.]

- Tell me, what is your name?

- ??:** My name is Elena.

- Ok, Elena, calm down. Tell me, where do you live and where is your family?

- Elena: I don't know. My father and I were expelled from our town and my father... was... killed trying to protect me from some monsters. I've been alone since then, but thanks for helping me.

[Elena clings to Catter's shirt, not wanting to let go at all. Then, Catter picks her up and puts her on her back so he can carry her. Catter heads towards where the knight is.]

- Hey, gentleman, where are we headed now?

- Let's go to where your brothers are waiting for us and then let's go to the Lumeria kingdom.

- Well, let's go then. Come on, Elena.

- Elena: Yes, eee... Catter, can I call you brother?

- (Maybe she thinks I'm going to abandon her after everything that's happened.) Yes, you can tell me whatever you want, little sister.

[Elena smiles happily at Catter and hugs him tightly. Catter and the knight, after walking for a while, finally meet the other heroes who were waiting for them. After so much walking, they reached their destination.]

- Knight: Look, Catter, that over there is the kingdom of Lumeria.
