Chapter 205 Dementors
Allen and Hermione arrived at the Leaky Cauldron without any problems, but he found that it was also in chaos.
They were busily moving all their trunks down the narrow stairs of the Leaky Cauldron to pile them up by the gate.Hedwig and Percy's shrill owl, Hermes, were in their own cages, on top of the luggage.Beside the pile of boxes a small wicker basket purred noisily.
"It's all right, Crookshanks," Hermione immediately ran up to coax the cat through the wicker basket, "I'll let you out on the train."
"Don't let it go," snapped Ron, "what about poor Scabbers?"
No one noticed the rampant Allen.
Mr. Weasley, who had been waiting outside for the Ministry car, stuck his head in.
"Here comes the car," he said. "Harry, come on!"
Mr. Weasley led Harry warily across the short stretch of pavement to the first car.
Both were old dark green cars, the first driven by a sly-looking wizard in a bright green velvet suit.
"Get in, Harry," said Mr. Weasley, looking around the street.
Harry walked to the back of the car, followed by Hermione and Ron.
Allen looked at the open car door, hesitated and got into the car sideways.
He stepped hard on the car and made a dull sound, and now Ron and Harry realized that Alan was abnormal today, and their expressions became terrified.
Mr. Weasley and the driving wizard who were sitting in the front row heard Harry's exclamation, and quickly looked back. The first reaction of the driving wizard was to draw out his wand, but Mr. Weasley stopped him.
Mr. Weasley introduced Alan's situation in a low voice. The wizard put away his wand in doubt because of his trust in Mr. Weasley.
Harry and Ron were not so frightened anymore, and boys seemed to be more receptive to this kind of thing.
They were already watching Alan's legs with great interest. Alan's legs took up a lot of space today, and his legs were placed on Harry and Ron's.
"We ate a kind of crab called king crab in Egypt. The meat in the legs of that kind of crab is very delicious. The legs of that kind of crab look similar to yours!" Ron reached out and tapped on Allen's leg. beat beat.
"Your leg looks delicious," Ron concluded.
Allen clearly saw that he was swallowing, and he quickly retracted his legs
"I take you as a friend, but you want to eat me!" Allen retorted.
Ron also woke up, his expression became embarrassing.
The journey to King's Cross was uneventful, and when they arrived at King's Cross, there were still twenty minutes before the train arrived.
Allen also changed into his invisibility cloak, managed to avoid the Muggles, and entered platform 9 and three-quarters.
Mrs. Weasley kissed each of the children goodbye.
The train moved quickly, and they leaned out the window, waving at the Weasleys, until the train rounded the bend and they were out of sight.
Harry suddenly said that he had something to tell them alone.
So Harry, Ellen, Ron, and Hermione walked down the corridor, looking for empty carriages, but all the carriages were full except the last one.
There was only one person in this carriage, and this person was sitting by the window, soundly asleep. They stopped on the threshold. The Hogwarts Express was usually for students, who had never seen an adult here, except for the witch who was pushing the food cart for them.
The stranger wore a very worn wizard robe, patched in several places. He looked sick and tired. He looked quite young, but his light brown hair was streaked with gray.
On the man's box was written R. J.Professor Lupine.
They couldn't find any other vacant carriages, so they sat down, shut the doors, and sat as far away from the windows as they could.
Harry then told them all about the Shusleys' argument, Mr. Weasley's warning before he got into the car, and so on.
When he had finished, Ron seemed struck by lightning, and Hermione covered her mouth with her hands.
At last she dropped her hands and said, "Did Sirius Black come out after you? Oh, Harry, you must be careful, very careful, and don't ask for trouble, Harry."
"I'm not asking for trouble," said Harry exasperatedly, "it's always my trouble."
"How stupid would Harry be to go after a lunatic who wants to kill him?" said Ron, trembling.
Allen was lost in thought: Is the final boss of the third year this Sirius Black? It sounds much easier to deal with than Voldemort and the Basilisk in the previous two years.
The three of them argued for a long time about Sirius Black.
Alan didn't get involved, he gently opened the straps on Crookshanks' basket, and Crookshanks jumped out of the basket with ease, stretched, yawned, and jumped into Alan's lap .
"It seems that it likes you very much." Hermione said with a smile.
"Maybe it just likes the smell of seafood on Alan's lap." Ron shrugged and complained.
Allen gently picked up the cat, and Crookshanks also seemed to be enjoying it.
The Hogwarts Express was heading steadily north, and the scenery outside the window was getting wilder and darker, while the clouds overhead were getting thicker.
It started to rain in the afternoon, and the rain became heavier and heavier.
It was completely dark outside, the train went slower and slower, the sound of the wheels became quieter, and the sound of wind and rain outside the window became louder.
The train suddenly shocked and stopped, and the sound of banging came from the distance, indicating that the luggage dropped from the shelf. Then, all the lights went out suddenly, and they were plunged into complete darkness.
"What happened?" Ron's voice came from the darkness.
Allen suddenly felt the surroundings become colder, goosebumps began to appear on his bare skin, and even the eight legs under him were a little stiff.
Through the dim light, he found that he was breathing white gas.
"I'll go out and have a look!" he volunteered, since he was sitting in the seat closest to the door, he thought the train was broken down.
He opened the door and stood in the aisle, feeling even colder.
The next moment he felt a wave of pure malice rushing towards him
Through the dim light in the aisle, Allen saw a monster in a cloak and as tall as the ceiling. Its face was completely hidden under the hood, and a hand protruded from the cloak. It was gleaming, gray and thin and scabbed, like something dead and soaked in water to rot.
Then the thing under the hood, whatever it was, took a long, slow, trembling breath, as if trying to suck in something other than air from its surroundings.
