The Touch of Death

Chapter 2: Acclimatization

Naori "Levi get up, you have lunch now, then you will learn calligraphy and reading"

"Hmm, 5 more minutes" After these words, I felt that someone lifted my body.

"Aaaah, what are you doing?" I felt myself being released and I fell back onto the mat.

"A shinobi can't be lazy, okay?" She said with the most serious expression on her face. Although Naori didn't become a shinobi, she is somewhere at the academy level and this is already a very big difference from an ordinary person. Therefore, it is better not to anger her.

"Yes, I understand everything."

"That's good."

As soon as I was woken up and dressed, they brought me lunch. It was the usual food for recovery. In my past life, I didn't really like fish, but here it doesn't really bother me. Next on my schedule, calligraphy lessons are taught by Fushigura Toji, and when I remembered the name, I shuddered. It's good that he doesn't look like a certain famous anime character, otherwise I would go to his lessons in full uniform and with 5 jounin behind me. Toji-sensei is a man with blue hair, blue eyes and high cheekbones. This is what makes him stand out from the rest, he is also very tall, 180 cm. In general, by local standards, he is a handsome man. But as a person, he is a complete ugly man. A womanizer, and also a person with a very high opinion of himself (I have met such people only in books, and even then only the French were described like that). Once this moron decided to hit on Naori, but she kicked him, and then (his father) cut his salary. You ask why put up with him? Well, the point is that he is the son of a rich merchant who takes missions not from the village, but from the clan. (in general, there are many such people, a merchant who spoiled his child, dumps him in a clan, this is like establishing relations and your son will definitely not cause many problems for the shinobi.) Of course, they would not trust me with such a person, I already know how to read and write. You ask why, do you need him then? So here his father Toji comes into play, although he is the 3rd son, but if a person became a nobleman, then his children too. Do you understand what I'm getting at? Yes, his father is striving for high society. (With the help of the Uchiha clan) Why does the clan need him? Well, the Uchiha clan is strong, yes, but in terms of politics they are a complete 0, so they try to lure or raise their own. Just imagine a situation where a person like Toji works somewhere in Tanzaku as an official and the Uchiha clan needs to open some kind of business there. And then I turn to him, his good student, about whom all his colleagues at work know, since he brags about it every day. How can he refuse? After all, it will raise him in the eyes of his colleagues. Something like that, yes, the scheme is not very reliable, but as I already said in politics, the Uchiha clan is 0. Therefore, they cling to any opportunity. For a complete overview, you need to understand that any nobleman is a civil servant, automatically, right from birth. But since you can't put such a person in the field to dig potatoes, they occupy a high position in all sorts of government apparatuses. And so, approaching the office, I knock and enter. Entering, the first thing I felt was the smell of tobacco and alcohol. The first thing I saw was Toji-sensei, who was lying on the bed hugging some blonde with impressive size 4 breasts.

"Hello Toji-sensei."

"Oh, hello, hello my dear student," he said cheerfully, getting up and covering himself with a blanket. The blonde also woke up and, as if a 6-year-old child sees her naked every day, said.

"Toji, where is my money?" Oops, I get it.

"Right now, my dear." Toji-sensei said, approaching the table, pulling out a drawer and taking out a stack of money. Somehow it was too much.

"Here you go, my dear." He gave her the full stack! While I was in shock from such a sum of money, since they don't give me much for pocket money. And the guests' gifts are taken away (by my father), well, if they are in money. The blonde got dressed and looked at me. She quickly took a piece of paper with her contact information and handed it to me.

"As soon as you grow up, come to me." She said with a smile and winked at me.

"Oh, as your teacher, I have to teach you everything I know. And believe me, I have a lot of experience. So, as soon as you're ready, tell me. Toji-sensei said, pouring himself sake. Oh, who would doubt that he volunteered. In general, for all his faults, Toji-sensei was very kind to me. he is not a fool and knows perfectly well why he is here. That is why he has not tried to teach me calligraphy or writing for a long time, but simply talks to me about life.

The blonde left the room and we were left alone. Looking at me, he said, "Sit down, I wanted to discuss the life of a shinobi with you." Oh, that's interesting.

When I sat down, they asked me, "What do you think about the life of a shinobi?"

Well, I will answer the same way Levi would. "I think that this is what every Uchiha must go through. Otei says that this path is full of danger, but as members of the Uchiha clan, we must go through it."

"Hm, yes, I will be glad if such a great person as you will protect." He said, raising his chin and straightening his shoulders.

"If you pay me, I will be very happy to work for you, Toji-san." Yes, we are on first-name terms.

"Heh, I always have money, my student, I will never stoop to the same level as these worthless ones." This is what he means about ordinary people.

"I am glad about this, sensei." I say with a forced smile.

And so our conversation continued. The last minutes of the lesson we sat in silence.

"And so our lesson is over." Sensei said, quickly getting up, taking the money and already standing at the door, saying goodbye.

"Bye, my beloved student." And he ran away.

I left the office and went to my room. The servants quickly dressed me. (I began to get used to this.) Naori is busy somewhere, as I understand it. You ask where I am going? Well, I need to practice throwing kunai. Standing on the training ground and feeling the weight of the kunai in my hand, I made the first throw. When the kunai hit the board from the edge, I was glad because this was the beginning of a long journey that I would have to take to protect myself and the people close to me. I was lying on the grass and breathing heavily when I heard a rustle in the bushes. I stood up and called out.

"Who's there?" A hunched man came out of the bushes. He looked very old.

"Not bad for a kid like you," the old man said.

"What's your name?" The answer to my question came quickly.

"You don't need to know that yet, boy." How rude I thought. "I'll watch you, surprise me and I'll help you become an Uchiha."

"Wait. Who are you?" But my question was not answered as the styrik disappeared into the shinshin.

I went home, the servants washed me and put me to bed, and I kept thinking about that old man.
