NOVEL WEB Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Keep A Secret
Awkwardly walking to the college after a few minutes the silence between them deepens. Both of them wonder what to say just to end the dead silence.
Dabi: Anyway... Have plans?
(In his mind).
"Man, this is so fucking awkward I don't know what to say to him. Just by thinking about it wasn't he that weird kid that was so close to his Dad?"
(Flashback).
(In middle school).
He was hiding in the corner, waiting for his mom or dad to come pick him up, but he noticed the corner of his eye just to see Chisaki kissing his father on the lips when he was twelve years old. His eyes widen in disbelief and confusion, wondering why he would do that. Usually, parents and children don't act way with each other it's strange.
(End of Flashback).
"Just by thinking about it I never said anything. But they're the Yakuza so they'll come after me if I did say something. I've always been silent ever since I saw those two. The way Chisaki's Father touched him sickens me but I can't say anything since it's not my business to be."
(Out of his mind).
Chisaki: I'm mostly spending time with family. My father and I are very close.
Blushing slightly thinking about his Master back home.
Dabi: Ever thought about hanging out with friends? Rather than Family, I mean no offense. I think it's nice to be with other people than family.
He looks at him calmly yet wonders if he knows what he is talking about, but judging from his facial expression, he doesn't.
Chisaki: Sorry, I don't know what you're saying. Hanging out with different people that you don't know isn't good. Who knows, the person could be a killer or a rapist... Family is better since you can get to know them emotionally and physically.
He looks at him trying to give him better advice than he would've given him.
Dabi: Physically like sex?
He raises one eyebrow, wondering what the hell he is talking about. A dark, sick thought appears in his mind, thinking about the word sex and what Chisaki was talking about earlier.
Chisaki: ...
Remembering what his Master had said to him earlier.
(Flashback).
Boss of the Shie Hassaikai: Don't tell anyone about us two especially when we started dating and also when you had sex.
(End of Flashback).
Chisaki: Never mind what I said. I should keep walking by myself. But nice meeting you.
He bows down a bit as he starts walking away fast, leaving Dabi to his thoughts. Believing that he screwed up the conversation by telling him that he slept with Father without even knowing it or it was implied.
Dabi: So it's true Chisaki is dating his Dad and having sex with him?
His eyes widen realizing what he just heard. Remembering the flashback of those two kissing and the way he was touching Chisaki. It truly sickens him. Covering his mouth immediately as he felt something come up after thinking about the truth even though it was a sinking feeling that he knew at some point.
(In his mind).
"That's so sick it makes me want to vomit at the thought of it. What should I do? Tell someone? Would it even matter since Chisaki is already an adult?"
(Out of his mind).
Feeling a hand on his shoulder which startled him. Looking back slightly just to see Shigaraki.
Dabi: ...
Swallowing his vomit even though it was gross as hell as he talked to him, but he was shaken up. The unsettling thoughts keep lingering in his mind.
Dabi: Hey Shigaraki...
Says it softly as he was pale like he saw something or someone.
Shigaraki: Hey bro.
He smirks slightly but notices that his friend Dabi looks like he is about to vomit. Getting concerned about his well-being.
Shigaraki: You okay? You look like you've seen a ghost.
He looks at him, concerned, wondering if his friend is okay.
Dabi: I'm fine just met an old schoolmate. Do you remember Chisaki?
He looks at him calmly yet uneasily once he mentions Chisaki.
Shigaraki: The straight-A student is also in the college we're going to? Fuck I hope he doesn't have the same classes as me. Anyway, why?
He looks at him, wondering why he mentioned him all of a sudden, but judging by his friend's face, something must've happened. Something that made his friend scared.
Dabi: Don't tell anybody, but keep it to yourself, alright?
He looks at him, wanting him to keep it a secret. His facial expression was serious he wasn't messing around. However, he wonders if Shigaraki can keep a secret since he knows his friend to be terrible with secrets.
Shigaraki: Sure so what's the secret?
He looks at him, wondering what is the secret that he should keep.
Dabi: ...
Pulls Shigaraki into a dark alleyway in case people are around trying to spy on the conversation. The dark alleyway was quiet nobody was around. It's the perfect spot to tell secrets.
Dabi: I was talking to Chisaki just for a few minutes, and well, I think he might be dating his father...
After telling his best friend about it, he could feel a weight being lifted from his shoulders, but also, the sick feeling was about to consume him once again since the flashbacks were flooding his mind.
Shigaraki: Serious? How could you tell? I get he was a daddy's boy but there's no way they're dating. That's fucking creepy.
He looks at him in disbelief and hopes that what he's saying that it's a joke. He hopes that it's a joke and not the other way around. Just thinking about it makes his stomach turn. But since they're eighteen now so, does it matter?
Shigaraki: He's eighteen now, so basically, he's an adult, so he could do whatever he wants.
After saying that, it makes him feel sick since it is like the old man was waiting for Chisaki to turn eighteen just to date him. The thought sickens him but it wasn't his business to begin with.
Dabi: I fucking know but I saw something when I was fucking twelve... I saw those two kissing... I didn't mean to look but I saw the way that he touched Chisaki. I didn't want to say anything since it wasn't my business!
Trembling as the flashback appears in his mind over and over again the regret of not saying anything consumes him.
(Flashback).
(Dabi age 12).
Dabi: They're late again as usual.
Walking around the corner of the school, the place nobody goes to since it was teachers-only parking. Looking up slightly just to see someone that he recognized as a classmate walking up to a black sedan.
Dabi: That's Chisaki...
Mumbles it to himself as he just stares at the black sedan. The first thing that popped into his mind was why he would pick him up right here since this was off-limits. Noticing the car door opening just to see Chisaki's father coming out just to pull Chisaki closer, grabbing him by the butt, and kissing him right on the lips.
Dabi: ...
His eyes widened, looking at the scene that just unfolded. He couldn't believe what he was just seeing.
(In his mind).
"What should I do? Do I say something? To my parents or the police? Or to a nearby hero?"
He panics about what he should do before looking up at the symbol on the vehicle, which is the Shie Hassaikai symbol, realizing that it's the Yakuza symbol.
"What am I saying? I can't say anything, or I'll get killed. I have to pretend everything is fine"
Closing his eyes tightly as he trembles in fear, walking away, pretending he hadn't seen anything. Nothing has ever happened.
"Everything is fine."
(Out of his mind).
(End of Flashback).
Shigaraki: ...
Looks at him shocked at that moment he didn't say anything. He couldn't think of anything to say but to comfort his friend that's all he could do at that moment.
Dabi: Just don't say anything to anyone. It's our little secret, alright?
He looks at his friend Shigaraki, hoping he'll keep it to himself and not tell no one.
Shigaraki: I won't... I promise.
