The Survival of the Third-rate Villain

Chapter 229: 229 - Date [2]

After eating in the cafe... Jerusha and I walked a little bit through the town, shopping and basically just looking around.

Then at the corner of my eyes—

"Huh?"

I saw something that caught my attention.

"Hmm? Something you want to buy?"

Jerusha asked, looking at me.

I nodded my head and opened my mouth.

"Wait here for a bit."

Then I walked away after smiling awkwardly at her. She just smiled back at me and waved a little.

I hurried to a small, but fancy-looking stall. And there—I saw a bunch of accessories for sale.

'I was right...'

I thought to myself, a small smile on my face.

This shop in front of me... It was a timed shop that rarely appears in the game! And all of the things they sell are from dungeons!

"Is there anything you want, Handsome Sir?"

The shopkeeper then asked, looking at me. I was the only customer he had. He looked like a common chubby, wealthy merchant.

"I'm still looking around."

I said to him before turning my attention back to the accessories he was selling.

"Take your time... I guarantee you that everything I sell are special items. Thus their prices are quite high. The other customers don't believe me so no one is buying from me."

The shopkeeper mumbled. I glanced at him for a second.

"Don't worry, I know that."

And then I responded to him.

"Here, I'll buy this."

I followed, handing him a necklace that had a beautiful shiny purple stone.

"How much is it?"

"..."

The shopkeeper looked at me, surprised. His mouth slightly hung open.

"You really believe what I said?"

He asked, voice shaking.

"Yeah."

I nodded my head without a second thought.

"R-Right on it!"

Then he started moving, finally.

'He's really like this after buying your first item here... I'm probably his first customer ever.'

In the game, all the items here could only be bought using real money. I rarely bought something here. But now, I can handle it.

*****

"All in all, it's about 584 gold coins... But for you, Sir—I'll take it down to 500 gold coins."

The shopkeeper said, looking at me carefully as he gave the price. He thought I would back out.

"Sounds great, thanks."

THUD—

But I just took out five bags full of gold coins from my spatial storage.

"...!"

His eyes almost popped out... Lol.

"You can count it if you want."

I told him as he peeked inside the bags, checking their contents.

"N-No! Just like how you trust me... I'll also trust you, Sir!"

Then the shopkeeper declared that, looking at me with shining eyes. It was uncomfortable.

"Erm, sure..."

And after an awkward pause—

"Well then, I'll be going."

"See you later, very kind Sir!"

I walked away from the shop. I bought a total of three items from it.

Two of them were a ring and the necklace I picked before—both had a big pretty purple stone in them.

"Appraise."

I muttered silently while holding them in my hands... Then a system window appeared in front of me.

=====

[Set Artifacts: Call Of The Veiled Heart]

<Pendant Of The Crying Stone>

<Ring Of The Bound Oath>

-In case the wearer of the necklace is in trouble, a strong magic will resonate between the two items—then the wearer of the ring will be teleported to where they are.

-In case one of the items is broken or nobody is wearing them, then these two are just purely decorative.

=====

I smiled after reading their effects together. And without further ado—I wore the ring on my right hand, ring finger.

'I'll give the necklace to Jerusha.'

I thought, my face reddening a bit.

In the game, you could use these items to confess to the heroines as Leon. But it's not really necessary, to be honest.

And actually...

'Leon doesn't seem to be that focused on his love life, like nothing is happening at all...'

I guess that's a butterfly effect that I caused too. I don't know how... But whatever.

I just shrugged my shoulders, and with that—I walked toward Jerusha with a sweet smile on my face.

*****

"...!"

Jerusha's eyes widened and she blushed when I bashfully handed her the necklace.

"It's pretty."

She muttered. Then while smiling and looking at me...

"Can you put it on me?"

She asked that.

"Of course."

I simply replied.

Jerusha turned her back against me, I got closer, and I put my hands around her while holding the necklace.

Her sweet smell entered my nose, and seeing her nape... I blushed a little too, nervous.

'She smells good.'

And with that—

Click—

I put the necklace on her.

"How does it look?"

Jerusha asked as she turned back to face me.

And immediately—

"It looks perfect on you. You look so pretty."

I said that.

"Look, we're matchy."

Then I showed her the ring that I got for myself.

"Wow! That looks pretty too..."

"Not as pretty as you though."

"Oh, shut up."

We laughed together after that.

We didn't care even if the bystanders were looking at us because we were being too loud and weird. We didn't even notice, really.

And just like that—

We continued our date.

...

...

...

*****

"Thank you, I enjoyed today."

Jerusha mumbled shyly.

We were on a date for the whole day, and now... It was dark. We're currently in front of the dormitory she stays at.

"I had fun too."

I replied.

"Good night."

"Yeah, good night."

She started walking toward the door. And before entering—

"Get home safe, I love you!"

She said that.

"Rest well, I love you the mostestness."

I shot back at her.

And with that... Our date ended.

I started walking back home to the cabin.

"..."

I was silent, the smile on my face slowly fading. I had fun... Too much fun.

"God, I already miss her."

I whispered to myself.

...

...

After a few minutes of flying to get home fast, I got back to the cabin.

"..."

It was quiet. Zephyrus and Pyro were probably asleep now.

I told Kyle to deliver food for them so they probably ate dinner too.

I silently entered the cabin... Then I went to my room.

I saw the two sleeping on my bed.

'Bruh, for two small spirits... they do take up a lot of space.'

I smiled, then I just sat at the corner of my bed.

And after that—

Fwish~

I took two things out from my spatial storage.

One was a pair of blue earrings, I got it from the shop earlier too... And the other one—was a red box.

The box that I got from Lucian before leaving the Alvah Dukedom.

Anyway, I looked at the earrings first.

"Appraise."

=====

[Sapphire Whirl]

-Increase your proficiency with wind element by 50%

-Increase your speed by 5 points.

=====

I nodded in satisfaction when I read their description, and immediately after that—I wore them on my ears.

I didn't have piercing holes, but whatever... I just made one right now by forcing them in.

My pain resistance is too high to care for something like that. I healed the wounds too immediately with support magic.

So with that done... I looked at the red box that I placed on top of my bed.

'I wonder what he gave me.'

I thought to myself, and with that curiosity—

Click—

I opened the box.

And as soon as I did...

SWAAAAAHHH~

A strong surge of mana hit me in the face! It was hot as fuck too!

"...?!"

I frowned when I felt that, I was blinded by some kind of light as well. But when I adjusted to everything...

"Huh?"

My whole body froze when I saw what was inside the box. Or to be specific... what were inside of it...

In the box—there were two feathers of a Phoenix!
