A loud crash followed MEGA Gardevoir's mental force slammed into the wall of the gymnasium, leaving a deep crater in the alloy.

But MEGA Gardevoir's sheer firepower obviously exceeded that limit!
Normally, if damage occurs during a formal Gym challenge sanctioned by the League, funding for repairs would be automatically allocated.
However, this wasn't a League-certified battle. This was just a private match and worse, neither party was the Gym Leader!
"Damn it! Champion-level power for sure! Why did I even agree to let them fight here? That bastard Xu Fei better pay for the repairs himself!"
Zhang Guanzhu, the Flying Gym Leader, clenched his fists, face darkening like a stormcloud.
Even the apprentices watching from the sidelines gasped. One of them, a senior who had trained in the gym for over five years, muttered, "I've never seen the gym walls take damage… ever."
The pit gouged into the alloy wall was a terrifying sight.
"Is this... what Champion-level strength looks like?"
Xu Fei stared at the crumbling impact zone in disbelief.
His own uncle ran a gym. Xu Fei had trained and sparred in several League arenas before, so he knew these walls were meant to be nearly indestructible.
"Gardevoir! Moonblast!"

Entei's silhouette blurred and split. Enhanced by Agility, the battlefield was now flickering with overlapping illusions of the Volcano Pokémon each one racing toward Gardevoir with heat-hazed speed.
Multiple images of Entei danced through the flames.
But
"Gardevoir, detonate your attack exactly ten meters in front!"
Chen Xiaoxiao's precision was chilling.
The orb of moonlight obeyed—MEGA Gardevoir launched it directly into the space where the fake Enteis converged.
"Entei! Evade now!!"
Boom!
Xu Fei's call came quickly, but not quick enough.
Even with Agility, Entei was caught in the expanding shockwave of Moonblast. The blast radius was enormous Entei was hurled backward, skidding across the metallic ground with a pained roar.
The battlefield cracked a jagged crater over ten meters wide opened beneath where Entei once stood!
"Entei! Hang in there! I believe in you don't give up!"
Xu Fei roared, unleashing his signature Roar of Revival, a skill he had refined to stir a Pokémon's hidden potential and rekindle their fighting spirit.
But Zhang Guanzhu frowned from the sidelines.
"Xu Fei's still inexperienced… If you're using Double Team to approach, why cluster all the clones in the same line? That's too easy to predict."
Zhang muttered to himself and tapped open his internal notepad a habit of reviewing tactics post-battle.
"Gardevoir! Voice of Enchantment!"
MEGA Gardevoir's lips parted, releasing a haunting, resonant cry that echoed across the field.
Sound-based moves, unlike most special attacks, bypass physical defenses and inflict direct mental strain.
A truly devastating choice.
"Entei! Protect! Now!"
A luminous barrier flared into existence in front of Entei just in time to intercept the psychic soundwaves.
A clean shield against mental invasion.
A moment of relief!
Entei held firm MEGA Gardevoir's skill clashed against Protect and dispersed with a fading pulse.
Entei wasn't down yet.
But the sweat on Xu Fei's brow was real.
He'd just had his pride and tactics publicly slapped.
Xu Fei may be young, but he isn't clueless his deep study of Pokémon techniques and move synergy allowed him to give the right command at the crucial moment.
But really now did anyone think Chen Xiaoxiao was fighting seriously?
Of course not.
Those first two overwhelming moves from MEGA Gardevoir? Pure posturing meant only to show off power.
After all, if you were choosing between an Elite-level EXP bundle and a full-blown Champion-tier EXP bonanza, which would you take?

Xu Fei called out, eyes gleaming.
Entei inhaled sharply, a five-pronged flame forming instantly, shooting forward like a blazing star directly targeting MEGA Gardevoir.
"Gardevoir, Confusion!"
MEGA Gardevoir's eyes flashed cerulean. The air around her shimmered—and a burst of psychic energy fragmented the Fire Blast mid-air, dissipating the attack into harmless cinders.
"Entei! Flamethrower!"
Not giving her time to breathe, Entei unleashed a second wave of intense fire, a stream of searing heat racing straight for MEGA Gardevoir.
"Teleport!"
A glimmer of light and MEGA Gardevoir was gone.
She didn't dodge far just 60 centimeters to the side, the bare minimum.
The Flamethrower passed within a hair's breadth of her elegant frame, the trailing heat singeing nothing but empty air.
"Entei! Sacred Fire!"
A holy flame spiraled into life this was Entei's signature move, a divine fire inherited from the Johto mythos!
But Chen Xiaoxiao only smirked.
"Xu Fei! Your Entei is still too weak! Gardevoir! Let him witness true power—Psychic!"
Ugh, how dull this was becoming.
Chen Xiaoxiao yawned internally as MEGA Gardevoir surged with blue radiance again this time, unleashing a high-pressure mental blast directly into Entei's Sacred Fire!
Boom!
Reality dealt Entei another brutal slap.
The legendary move Sacred Fire the same technique said to cleanse all impurities, was shattered in midair like cheap glass.

The residual Psychic attack continued onward missing Entei by inches, and smashing another massive hole into the alloy wall behind him!
Gym Leader Zhang's expression darkened visibly again.
This was getting expensive.
He turned to glare at Xu Fei with burning eyes Do you know how much those walls cost!?
Entei glanced back at the new crater, its massive shoulders trembling not from fear, but bitter frustration.
And then Chen Xiaoxiao's line "Your Entei is too weak!" landed like a dagger.
It pierced Entei's pride.
Deep within the Volcano Pokémon's heart, something ancient stirred a desire, no, a need to grow stronger. To surpass this moment. To prove itself.
A guttural roar erupted from Entei's chest.
It wasn't the sound of pain but of awakening.
A surge of radiant energy coiled around Entei's body. His fur gleamed brighter. His mane flared higher. The air around him shimmered like a mirage.
Xu Fei felt it immediately Entei's aura had changed.
His eyes widened, and he turned toward Chen Xiaoxiao with a grateful nod.
Chen Xiaoxiao smiled faintly.
The Champion-tier EXP pack had finally activated.
Zhang Guanzhu narrowed his eyes, sensing the transformation. A subtle nod followed.
So that's what she was waiting for all along…
Am I getting too old to keep up with these kids?
The gymnasium fell silent.
Everyone apprentices, staff, even rival Pokémon froze.
It was as if the battlefield itself had entered stasis.
All eyes were locked on Entei.
His presence was rising like magma about to erupt.

A piercing, majestic cry tore through the silence.
