Chapter 4: Soul Weapon 2
'Lord, forgive me... but I can't help but think of stealing every single weapon here to make my own personal gate of Babylon.' Seth thought with a heavy sigh at the incredible sight before him. The sheer number of weapons scattered throughout this dimension was absolutely staggering, each one glowing with its own unique aura and power.
"I will try to form my soul weapon first," Elizabeth said nervously while stepping forward with obvious hesitation. She could feel many different items in this dimension calling out for her specifically. She felt as if she answered any of their persistent calls, they would fly directly into her hands without a second thought or resistance. But she first wanted to see if she could successfully form her own soul weapon from scratch.
Seth sat down on the smooth ground and watched carefully as Elizabeth put her incredible talent to proper use. This was exactly how a soul weapon was traditionally formed. In simple terms, the raw talent takes physical shape as a weapon that best suits the user. But it wasn't limited to weapons as it could also be weapons.
Seth watched with growing interest as Elizabeth's brilliant golden light began to compress and condense around her. Seth's eyebrow raised in surprise as he saw just how fast her Soul weapon was actually forming. As someone who had spent countless hours reading every single book in the massive library, he knew that normally it would take many long hours for this complex process to happen, and even longer for the talent to take its final shape. At times, depending on the person's power level, it could take several days.
Long hours passed slowly, and bit by bit, a stunningly beautiful golden staff gradually took its final shape. At the Staff's ornate head, sharp angelic holy wings could be clearly seen spreading outwards majestically. They were not physically connected to the staff itself, but instead floated gracefully alongside the staff. In the middle of the staff's length, one could see a beautiful holy orb floating serenely.
"I-I did it! I actually did it!" Elizabeth cheered in pure joy, seeing the completed staff before her. She took it carefully in her hands, spinning it around experimentally for a moment to test its weight and balance. With a simple focused thought, the wings of the staff spread outwards dramatically, enlarging significantly with just a mental command, and the individual feathers flew off the wings, transforming into thousands of razor-sharp blades she could command with nothing but a thought.
With another concentrated thought, those floating blades gathered around her protectively, forming a complete wing shield that covered her securely from all sides. Another mental command had the wings return to the staff, before she channeled her raw talent through the staff directly, creating incredibly powerful holy light, which seemed to actively aim to destroy all evil in its path.
Seth watched all of this impressive display with a light smile of approval. He paused for a second and looked down at his palm, where he noticed he was actually burning from her holy energy. He had to quickly cast a protective spell to shield himself, as his HP had dropped to a dangerous 10HP so quickly he barely noticed.
'I have to increase my stats significantly again or else her talent would completely destroy me.' Seth thought with concern. Elizabeth's holy powers used to hurt like hell when she first awakened her talent, but as his stats increased over time, that pain had lessened considerably as her stats were too weak compared to his. But with this powerful new weapon of hers, he definitely needed to grow much stronger if he wished her divine powers not to affect him negatively.
"Alright, your turn now." She said happily, turning to look directly at Seth, who hesitated for a long second before shaking his head firmly.
"I will just pick up a soul weapon from here instead," Seth said lightly, thanks to the unique nature of his mysterious talent. Although he genuinely wanted to form his own soul weapon, he sadly didn't want to use his dangerous talent out of fear of the terrible price that using it might demand.
Instead, he held out his open palm, and with a sudden flash of brilliant lightning, a sleek katana appeared instantly in his hands. He held out his other palm, and from far away across the dimension, a sturdy shield came flying towards him at incredible high speed.
Just as the katana disappeared completely, merging seamlessly with his soul, the shield appeared directly in his hands. At the same time, he had the shield use its special ability, creating a blinding light that prevented Elizabeth from seeing what was about to happen next. During that moment, a huge, incredibly heavy sword with the distinctive symbol of a sun engraved on it appeared and came flying directly towards him.
More and more items flew towards Seth with increasing speed: various bows, many arrows, multiple spears, reinforced gloves, magical shoes, enchanted clothing, and many more diverse items. There were 1.1 billion soul weapons stored here, accumulated over the time span of 10,000 years, as countless people had gained soul weapons and eventually left them here when they died... and for some mysterious reason, all of the soul weapons seemed to prefer coming to Seth rather than someone like Elizabeth who had an incredibly rare SSS tier talent.
Total items Seth successfully gained? Swords 10, Spears 8, Bows 5, Arrows 10, Hammers 7, Shields 12, Full Set Of Armor 10, Full Set Of Clothing 15, and many more diverse weapons and equipment.
In total, Seth managed to acquire 201 Soul Weapons, all with their own unique usefulness and special abilities... although some were admittedly useless for his purposes, but Seth aimed to eventually make them all useful somehow.
"What was that bright light?" Elizabeth said while rubbing her eyes gently, feeling as if she had gone completely blind for several moments.
"Sorry about that sudden flash," Seth said calmly. He didn't want her to see exactly what he had done during that time; after all, she was bad at lying convincingly. So, it was definitely best to avoid telling her anything important then to hope her innocent soul could somehow lie effectively if questioned.
"Whatever happened... how did you put the sword and shield away so quickly?" She asked curiously, not understanding how Seth could store them so efficiently.
"Just think of storing them away in your soul," Seth said lightly. Elizabeth paused for a second and tried the technique herself. It took a moment of concentration, but soon her beautiful staff disappeared completely and was recalled instantly with a single thought.
"What is the staff called?" Seth asked, walking alongside her as she searched carefully for another soul weapon to complement her set.
"This is the Staff of Divine Grace, it increases all of my stats by 3 times, plus provides a 5 times buff to talent capability. It also has a useful passive buff, where all of my allies get a significant 25% stat increase," Elizabeth said happily, clearly pleased with her weapon.
"That's incredibly overpowered," Seth said, genuinely amazed that just the staff alone would make her so much more powerful. How incredibly powerful could she become when she has a complete full set of matching gear?
"Haha, that's just the staff when it's in support mode. There are actually two more Modes available, Attack Mode being one of them." She said happily, excited to explain her weapon's capabilities.
"In attack Mode, my stats all increase by 5 times their normal value, plus a 10 times buff to my talent capability." She said, leaving Seth completely speechless as a stat increase of 5 times was considered the absolute peak that gear could possibly buff your stats.
But normally, even the best gear couldn't increase all of the stats by 5 times simultaneously. For example, some gear focuses specifically on defense or speed enhancement, and so on. For her Gear to affect all of her stats equally, plus increase her talent capability by 10 times? That was absolutely overpowered beyond belief.
"That's truly amazing, please enter Attack Mode," Seth said, wanting to see that incredible state in action, but Elizabeth shook her head disappointedly.
"It's locked until I reach level 10 unfortunately." She said lightly, before suddenly pausing as she felt a strong call from somewhere in the distance. She looked far away towards a beautiful, incredibly holy dress that seemed to glow with divine light. She looked at the dress for some time, studying its intricate details before calling for it mentally, and without a second thought, the dress flew towards her gracefully, which she caught easily and closely studied with appreciation.
"It's absolutely beautiful." She said lightly with obvious admiration. She looked towards Seth, wanting to hear his honest opinion, and of course Seth agreed with her assessment as the dress was truly a masterpiece of divine craftsmanship, clearly born from an A tier talent. It was absolutely perfect in every detail...

They left that mystical space after all that excitement. Elizabeth didn't want to take more than she actually wanted, as she saw taking extra items as stealing from others. Seth also didn't take too much and only took exactly what he needed for his purposes. As a man of faith, he wouldn't let greed cloud his judgment or moral compass.
"You're all back." The Queen said with a light smile, her gaze scanning everyone who had just stepped out of the dimension simultaneously, which seemed to confuse them. Seeing their obvious confusion, she smiled lightly and decided to explain.
"The dimension has its own special rules; those who enter at the same time must also leave at exactly the same time. So, although some of you stayed in there for several days, and others only spent a few hours, you all exited at the same moment." She explained with a gentle, understanding smile.
"As for us in the outside world, only a few minutes have actually passed. Time flows far faster inside that dimension... now, please go ahead and show us the soul weapons you have created or chosen." She said encouragingly, to which Mark stepped forward confidently with a broad smile.
With a sudden flash, 2 bladeless daggers appeared in his hands. At first, everyone was confused by the weird-looking soul weapons, but they all froze in shock as they suddenly felt invisible dagger blades pressed against their throats and there whole body.
"They're called Vortyx, I can't control where you feel the blades. The air itself becomes the daggers' cutting edges." Mark said with a satisfied smile at their reactions.
"Amazing display, Sir Mark, but please put the blades away immediately." A Knight said nervously, unable to just ignore the fact that with but a single thought, Mark's blades could move to seriously harm the queen.
Mark nodded in understanding while the Daggers disappeared completely, and after him Luke held out his hand confidently, summoning a golden trident. The air itself suddenly grew much heavier, on the brink of condensing into actual water around them.
"This is Poseidon's Trident." He explained calmly, to which the queen nodded with an impressed smile.
"Mine is called The Stick Of Yggdrasil," Sarah said with a light sigh, pulling out what appeared to be a seemingly simple wooden stick. But the moment the stick appeared, the air was filled with an incredibly dense lifeforce. Even without Sarah actively wanting it, plant life summoned itself spontaneously, surrounding her as if nature itself wanted to embrace and protect her.
The queen nodded with another light smile before turning her attention towards Adam, who simply pulled out a blue bow and a purple arrow.
"I have the Space Bow and the Time Arrow as my Soul weapons," Adam said calmly, making the queen, along with everyone else present, look at him with either confusion or complete shock. Mark and the others didn't understand how he managed to get two soul weapons, while the Queen and the rest of the people of this world were shocked since forming 2 Soul Weapons was considered the rarest thing one could possibly do.
"Absolutely amazing..." The Queen said lightly, though she wanted to know exactly what Adam's soul weapons could do. But she didn't want possible enemies to learn about their capabilities, so she held her tongue and looked towards Elizabeth instead.
Elizabeth summoned her magnificent Staff, and just to be extra careful, she also summoned the beautiful dress she had picked since she didn't want the queen to think she had stolen it without permission. But the queen didn't seem to care about the dress and only looked at the staff with a bright, approving smile while nodding at Elizabeth.
After that, she looked directly at Seth. The air seemed to grow heavy as everyone looked at Seth expectantly, after all, his talent was something many people didn't approve of or understand.
"I couldn't form a soul weapon and instead just picked up a few weapons that seemed useful," Seth said lazily while summoning the Lightning blade and the protective shield.
"... I see," The Queen said with a smile which was clearly hiding something important behind it. Seth just met her gaze directly without looking away, causing her smile to seemingly grow for a second before she looked away.
"You all did an absolutely amazing job today. Tomorrow, you will start sparring against each other to get to know each other's strengths and capabilities better. After that, you would move on to fighting and working together as a cohesive team." She said while looking at everyone present.
"In the meantime, Seth, please follow me to the throne room immediately. As for everyone else... you're completely free for the rest of the day." She said before turning and walking off, leaving everyone else confused for a moment, but Seth acted quickly, following behind her without question.
The walk to the throne room took Seth and the Queen several long minutes. They had been far below the throne room, and had simply had to walk up a huge flight of stone stairs to arrive in the impressive throne room, where Seth stopped respectfully before the stairs while the Queen continued to walk up the stairs and sit regally on the throne to face Seth directly.
The two met eyes for some time in silence before the Queen calmly ordered everyone within the throne room to exit immediately, ignoring their concerned words and only moving slightly when it was just her and Seth alone within the massive throne room.
