The Strongest Curse Master

Chapter 352: Assassin?

While Elinor dared the Overlords' descendant to run his mouth one more time, Ace looked at her and recalled that he had never hidden in shadows or used most of Curse Colt's abilities in Elinor's presence previously. Therefore, he never realized that Elinor's eyes could find him. He should have considered it, maybe then he wouldn't be caught in action by her of all people.

"Shit shoveling bitch, hahaha!" the Overlords' descendant cused Elinor before bursting out into a maniacal laughter.

Elinor glared at the Overlords' descendant. One of her eyeballs popped as she prepared to curse him, but Ace promptly stopped her, warning, "Elinor, stop. He is just baiting you to use your curse spell to break his curse cuffs and set himself free."

"What?" Elinor asked in disbelief. After thinking Ace's words through, she began, "That's not possible. Those cuffs are no ordinary cuffs, they're a void-tier curse tool. Believe me, they are strong, even Janice borrowed it to study. Besides, I'm cursing him, not the cuffs."

"Those cuffs work as a substitute for him. That is how they are able to disconnect him from his innate curse tool. That also means any damage done to him physically or through curse energy will be transferred to the cuffs. They render him helpless but also protect him.

Now that you know this, tell me what will happen if you use one of your curse spells on him?" Ace explained to Elinor, who was impatient to teach the arrogant Overlords' descendant a lesson.

Dee3 had warned Ace about the curse cuffs. There were only a dozen pairs of them and were used only on the worst of the worst curse criminals. Otherwise, they were thrown into a glass prison cell with curse suppression array formation.

The government had paid quite a lot to acquire this curse cuffs curse tool from the Curse Enforcers. Doing trade with the Curse Council's forces was a pain, because in exchange for their products, they would always demand to lease land in the most populated and high-income cities of the country.

Many countries around the world would be more than happy to lease land to the Curse Council for free because then they would have a safe haven guarded by Curse Enforcers in their Country. However, the problem was that the Curse Council did not just want the densely populated area; they wanted it to be high-income too. Now that was a problem, as only a few first-world countries could meet these conditions.

Take our great country for example, it did not have a problem with the high-income part, but the population part. So much so that they have partially opened borders for immigrants. A desperate move, but it seems to be working as around the globe, the Curse Council has leased most land in our Country.

Over the years, many have speculated why the Curse Council has put forward such a bizarre condition, but none have made sense, and neither have the Wisemen bothered to explain it to the world leaders. It was hard to get any answers from them unless it affected their interest. As for the countries, they can only go with it if they want the high-end curse tools and other remedies from the Curse Council.

This was especially true in our country's case. After all, 'The greater a country is, the greater the number of enemies they have.' Thanks to the Curse Gadget department, the Country has decreased its dependence on the Curse Council. Otherwise, our country's situation would be dire. Because a Country's peace cannot be bought, it has to be fought for.

Thinking of this made Ace realize just how much Dee3 contributed to their Country when it only tried to enslave her in return. One would think a great Country would treat its heroes with gratitude and gratefulness, even if they were grown in a lab, but they don't seem to care. If it were up to them, Dee3 was born a slave and would die as a slave.

"Shit, I almost went into a few billion dollars debt because of this asshole's provocations," Elinor sighed in relief that she did not help the Overlords' descendant break the curse cuffs. Then, she fiercely turned to face him, wanting to teach him a lesson he can never forget for trying to use her but paused and blurted in disbelief, "Wait, does that mean every time I hit him, the damage is actively being transferred to the cuffs and he didn't feel a thing? No wonder he keeps wagging his tongue no matter how hard I hit him."

"Yes," Ace nodded, eyeing the Overlords' descendant who was eyeing him, ignoring Elinor's death glare. Even in cuffs and imprisoned miles into the earth's crust, he seemed calm and confident when their eyes met.

"Who are you? How did you get in here without getting detected? Why are you here?" the Overlord's descendant asked, noticing Ace did not have a designated Nastrond ID card. A staff without a designated ID card in Nastrond was impossible because even the Brigadier General in charge of Base Wulfric wore one when accessing this floor. He was scared, wondering if his cousins had sent assassins to silence him before he gave any information on Overlords' Treasure or other valuable information about their family to the government.

Yes, the world thought he was the last Overlords' Descendant when there were more of them. And others were more capable than he and in much more authoritative positions than him around the globe.

If the Mortal World, especially the country built by the traitors who betrayed their masters, the very hand that fed them and gave them power, were ever to learn about their existence, then they would be terrified for their lives and those of their loved ones. However, it wasn't time yet. It was a pity that it appeared he would not be alive to see his bloodline rain down retribution on these traitors and their children.

"Why am I here? Isn't it obvious?" Ace sneered, staring into the eyes of the Overlords' descendant.

Listening to him, the Overlords' descendant screamed in hysteria and pure terror, "Assassin!"
