The Strongest Crew

Chapter 3: Business Plan

Ryongho was quite satisfied with how easily he had completed his first quest.

He hadn't even needed to use Dragon Rage—his opponents simply weren't strong enough to warrant it.

The only ability that activated was Quicken, a passive skill that triggered when he landed basic attacks. As a result, his reaction and movement speed increased by 20%, allowing him to counter Noh Manho's treacherous surprise attack with ease.

Ryongho frowned as he examined the rewards.

"Didn't it say that the rewards were only supposed to be from MOBA games?" he muttered, noticing the Attack Cards and Level Up Cards.

Just then—

A new game panel materialized beside the existing one.

Since the system had confirmed it, Ryongho decided not to dwell on it too much.

As for the Level Up Card [Potential], he had received two of them, which could be used on Bang Hojong and Woo Jongmin. However, before doing so, he needed to ensure that they would truly follow him wholeheartedly.

He had also received two new quests—to defeat the leaders of other classes. It seemed that each first-year class had its own leader, and in order to complete the Elite Quest, he would have to defeat them all one by one.

With the school day resuming soon, Ryongho returned to his seat, shifting his focus toward the active skills he had obtained from completing the quest.

As an avid gamer, Ryongho had heard of Mobile Legends before. While it wasn't as popular in Korea as League of Legends, it was widely played in Southeast Asia. On the other hand, DOTA 2 was internationally renowned, making it far more recognizable.

Although he had never played Mobile Legends and had only spent a short time on DOTA 2, he knew that both games featured diverse and powerful characters.

The skills he had obtained were incredibly useful—both were crowd control abilities, perfect for disrupting his opponents.

Class went on, and Ryongho continued listening to the teacher's lesson. In junior high school, he had always been at the top of his class, and he intended to maintain that position in high school as well.

After school ended, Ryongho went straight home. There wasn't much interesting happening at school anyway. He had no intention of joining any clubs—he was simply too lazy, and since it wasn't mandatory, he saw no reason to bother.

As for Noh Manho, Bang Hojong, and Woo Jongmin, they avoided his gaze whenever their eyes met. It was clear they were still afraid of him after the beating they had received.

He decided he would talk to them tomorrow and invite them to join his crew. While Bang Hojong and Woo Jongmin weren't particularly strong, they could at least serve as useful thugs.

"I'm back," Ryongho called out as he opened the door to his house. It was quite large, and his family had once been well off.

However, his parents had died in a plane crash, leaving him and his younger sister alone. Despite their tragic passing, they had left behind a massive inheritance—more than enough for him and his sister to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

"Welcome back, oppa!" a cheerful voice called from the living room.

When Ryongho walked in, he saw a young girl sitting on the sofa, watching TV while snacking.

Her name was Kim Soojin. She had long black hair and an innocent look. She was only a year younger than him and attended a prestigious middle school.

"You'll get fat if you keep eating that," Ryongho teased, smirking at his sister.

Soojin pouted. "I eat this all the time and never get fat, oppa!" she retorted.

"Still, don't eat too many snacks, or you won't have room for dinner," he reminded her.

"Okay!" Soojin replied with a bright smile before happily continuing to snack while watching TV.

After taking a bath, Ryongho headed to the kitchen to prepare food for both himself and his sister.

And just like that, the night passed uneventfully. Nothing special happened.

The Next Day

Ryongho sat at his desk while Noh Manho, Bang Hojong, and Woo Jongmin stood in front of him.

"So? What do you think? Do you guys agree?" Ryongho asked, raising an eyebrow.

Before school started, he had gathered the three of them to discuss his plan. In short, he wanted to form a crew and was inviting them to join.

One thing needed to be made clear—Ryongho wasn't a good guy. But he wasn't purely bad either. He simply did whatever benefited him and his younger sister.

Although he had inherited a significant amount of money, he didn't want his sister to live an average life. He wanted her to be able to buy anything she wanted, swipe her card without a second thought, and never have to worry about money.

Beyond that, Ryongho himself had grown bored with life. The appearance of the system had finally added some excitement to his otherwise dull existence.

Then, an interesting thought crossed his mind—if he became a villain, wouldn't a protagonist-type hero eventually appear to challenge him? He was curious about what it would be like to go up against a protagonist. Perhaps that would make life more thrilling.

Returning to the matter at hand, after inviting the trio, he also explained how their crew would operate. For now, they would start by collecting protection money from their classmates.

Geumryong High School had a solid reputation, and each class had at least 40 students. The monthly protection fee for each student would be 50,000 won (approximately $35).

The crew would be structured into four ranks: Leader, Executive, Team Leader, and Normal Member—for now.

Fifty percent of the protection money would go directly into Ryongho's pocket. Executives would receive 25%, Team Leaders 15%, and Normal Members 10%.

"...What if someone refuses to pay?" Woo Jongmin asked, clearly intrigued.

"Beat them up," Ryongho answered without hesitation. If someone refused, they would keep beating them until they complied.

Bang Hojong, Woo Jongmin, and Noh Manho exchanged glances. It was obvious that they were tempted. Bang Hojong and Woo Jongmin were already bullies—no one dared provoke them before because they had Noh Manho backing them up.

Although Noh Manho wasn't a bully himself, he never hesitated to beat up anyone who tried to harm his friends.

"Alright, we're in," Noh Manho said firmly, his expression serious.

Seeing the quest progress update, Ryongho felt pleased.

"Good choice. For now, Manho will be an Executive, and under him, Hojong and Jongmin will serve as Team Leaders," Ryongho explained.
