Chapter 110: [110] Twin Tails Are a Wonderful Thing

Chapter 110: Twin Tails Are a Wonderful Thing

When their conversation ended, Kirari smiled at Shunsuke. "Shunsuke, it seems you've found yourself a new intriguing opponent. But be careful not to get bitten back by the viper."

Shunsuke looked surprised. "I didn't expect you, Momobami-senpai, to actively warn me. Aren't you usually the one enjoying the show from the sidelines? Could this be concern?"

"Well, you're quite amusing, Shunsuke. I'd hate to see you leave the stage prematurely because of carelessness. That would be such a waste."

"Senpai, are you being tsundere right now?"

"Tsundere? What does that mean?"

Kirari looked puzzled.

Having been raised with an elite education and no exposure to anime or manga, the term from ACG culture was foreign to her.

"No, it's nothing, just a joke."

"Sayaka, look it up for me."

"…," Sayaka hesitated, unsure if she should. Coming from a normal family, she understood exactly what Shunsuke was referring to.

"Sayaka?"

Kirari glanced at the frozen Sayaka with a curious expression.

"Ah, right away!"

Sayaka quickly dismissed her wandering thoughts, swiftly opened Google, and placed the definition in front of Kirari.

After reading it, Kirari chuckled softly. "So this is your ultimate goal, Shunsuke? It seems your ambitions surpass even Kaede's."

Kaede Manyu adjusted his glasses, trying hard to maintain his composure.

I'm already doing my best to blend into the background here. Why do you keep dragging me into this? This is just bullying at this point!

"But it's fine," Kirari continued with a faint smile. "I welcome such things. My only request is, don't make me wait too long."

"As expected of the president, your magnanimity is truly unmatched," Shunsuke said with a thumbs-up, while the other student council members looked on in stunned silence.

Meanwhile, Sayaka was on the verge of tears. She glared at Shunsuke with an expression that screamed, This is all your fault!

Even though the other student council members had spent significantly more time around Kirari, none of them understood her as well as Shunsuke did.

Seeing Sayaka, who had always been the loyal "guard dog," Shunsuke's momentary compassion got the better of him, and he offered her some advice. "Little secretary, admiration is the emotion furthest from understanding."

"Huh?"

Sayaka blinked in confusion, completely lost.

Shunsuke clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Seriously, none of you have watched Bleach? So this is what normies are like? You pampered rich kids...

Losing interest, he asked with a hint of malice, "So, do you think the president has an 80% chance of losing to me?"

"Of course not!"

"Then that's that." Shunsuke spread his hands. "If there's no way she'd lose, why does it matter what my ambitions are? Ultimately, it just shows you lack confidence in Momobami-senpai."

Sayaka froze as if struck by lightning.

Do I really not have confidence in the president?

"Shunsuke, stop bullying Sayaka," Kirari said lightly.

Shunsuke shrugged. "Well, since Momobami-senpai said so... I'll take my leave for today."

It was getting late, and he still had to see Yumeko home before heading back to cook dinner for Mashiro.

Being a good guy really wasn't easy.

As Shunsuke left, Yumeko followed him with a cheerful smile, and Mary Saotome trailed closely behind.

Wait... what about me!? Sayaka's thoughts screamed. Am I just being left behind like this!?

Meanwhile, Itsuki, still in a deep bow on the ground, panicked as she sensed Shunsuke leaving. Wait, I'm still kneeling here! Are you all just going to leave me like this? Do you want me to kneel here all day? That'd kill me!

"Stand up, Sumeragi," Kirari finally said in her usual indifferent tone once Shunsuke had left.

"Thank you, President." Itsuki hastily stood, relief flooding her expression.

But her joy was short-lived, as Manyu's words instantly crushed her spirit.

"Sumeragi, you're dismissed from the student council."

"…What?" Itsuki's face went blank with shock.

"Didn't understand? I said you're fired."

Manyu's tone remained calm, as though he were an HR representative dismissing an employee he had never even met.

To him, Itsuki was nothing more than a complete stranger.

"If you understand now, then leave. The student council room isn't a place for irrelevant people to linger."

"Wh-why? Is it just because I lost once?"

Itsuki recalled Shunsuke's words before their gamble. Was he really looking out for me? If so, her stubborn rejection of his warning made her feel like a complete fool.

Manyu nodded. "Because you brought shame to the student council. Losers must be eliminated."

"But didn't Yomozuki-senpai lose as well? Why isn't she being kicked out?"

Manyu sighed, as though explaining to someone particularly dense. "I see you truly don't understand, Iitsuji. You were recommended to the student council by me, which gives me the authority to expel you when your actions tarnish its reputation. Yomizuki-senpai, however, is a third-year. Aside from the president, no one has the authority to expel her. Do you get it now?"

"How heartless, little glasses. Just discarding her when she's no longer useful," Midari Ikishima said with a chuckle from the sidelines.

Manyu shot the maniac a glance. If it had been anyone else—aside from the president or the unpredictable Shunsuke—he would have made sure they regretted their words.

But Midari was a lunatic with no regard for her own life. Ignoring her was the safer option.

Feeling the sting of Manyu's mercilessness and realizing she had only ever been a pawn to him, Itsuki received the final blow.

Seeing that no one stepped forward to oppose her dismissal, she let out a bitter laugh before slowly leaving the student council room.

...

"Saotome-san, you look exhausted. Did you not sleep well last night?" Shunsuke asked, feigning ignorance as he glanced at Mary Saotome, who had walked out with them.

Mary forced a bright smile, trying her best to appear composed.

Shunsuke shifted his gaze to Yumeko. "Did you lose to Yumeko in a gamble?"

"Yeah, I lost a total of 8.8 million yen."

"That's quite a bit for someone like you, Saotome-san."

The average annual salary of a University of Tokyo graduate was roughly the same amount.

Mary's dysfunctional family clearly couldn't help her pay off such a large debt.

If she had to rely on herself, she might as well start considering certain less-than-reputable options.

With her status as a student of Hyakkaou Academy, she would definitely have an edge in that market.

"So, Saotome-san, are you following me because you want me to pay off your debt?"

While paying off a gambler's debt could easily qualify as one of the dumbest moves in the world, Shunsuke wasn't worried.

After all, he had money now, and Mary Saotome had golden twin tails.

Among the people he knew, only Eriri and Yumemi also had twin tails.

And as everyone knew, twin tails weren't just aesthetically pleasing—they boosted attack speed.

It was a fantastic trait.

At this school, Shunsuke never bothered to hide his desires.
