The Shadows' Reckoning

As instructed, Ray made an investigation on Hakims in which he found somethings. Grabbing the file with a firm hand he entered the elevator with a stotic face.

A girl came running trying to get into the elevator before the dorr closes, squeezing her small figure into it, she stared at Ray with a crunched up face.

Ray returned her glare with a stotic one. The girl scoffed, "Do you ever smile?" She blurted out but widened her eyes when she realized what came out from her mouth. Ray was amused but showed no emotion. He stared at her not bothering to give her a reply.

She looked at him stinkily, "well that's rude for an handsome guy like you"

Ray smirked.

"By the way, my name is Jazmine", she said as she brought out her small hands for an handshake.

Ray stared at her hands then looked into her eyes, "i don't do handshakes", his tone sounding a deeper meaning to her almost like a warning.

He has a good voice, she thought as she swooned internally.

"Well.... that's a first" she replied with a duh tone. "I don't mind being your first".

Ray looked at her weirdly, how can a random girl make that statement. That's a first for him. She was bold, he agreed, too bold though. Her boldness could literally put her in trouble.

Jazmine stared at the file in Ray's hands and raised an eyebrow, "so... you're also a detective, wow nice" she muttered.

Ray stared at her in exasperation, damn!, was her mind and mouth controllable?.

He closed his eyes already feeling a headache coming up, Ray prayed silently to his maker to make the elevator move faster so he could get to Xavier's office. He couldn't stand one more second in this girl's presence.

Luck was on his side as the elevator beeped, notifying him about getting to his destination. In a quick hurry, he left and dropped a photo of he and Xavier in college. That photo meant so much to him. Jazmine noticed the picture on the floor and stared at it with curiosity. Sounds like he's gay, she thought, bending down to pick it, she kept it in a back pocket because she had a feeling she'd still meet him again.

Xavier stared at the file with HAKIMS WALTER bodly written on it. He stared at it for a very long time hoping it was something entirely that was in it. Grabbing it, be opened and saw Hakim's face in a passport frame. I've seen him somewhere, he thought to himself. As Xavier read through the file, his features darkened the more. Turns out he was the other person that aided Thomas to kill Xavier's father.

Xavier sneered, "place a tracker on him, he's now part of those ready to revenged on".

"Yes boss" Ray replied with respect as Xavier smirked. The drama was just beginning to start...
