Chapter 5: **The Blue Star Rises**
Indira Gandhi was a powerful woman who had ruled India with a fist of iron since 1980. She had controlled India's economy, foreign policy, and even the Army very tightly.
Indira had now decided to attack the Golden Temple in Amritsar to remove the Sikh terrorists from there. She believed that the Sikh terrorists were trying to break India apart and had to be crushed at once.
She called her best general, General Arunkumar Vaidya and asked him to plan Operation Blue Star. Vaidya had been India's best general since the Bangladesh war and Indira trusted him with her life.
Vaidya quickly agreed and went back to his office to plan the operation. He called his best officers into the meeting room to tell them about the operation.
The officers knew that it would be a tough operation. The Golden Temple was guarded by heavily armed Sikh terrorists and they would not be easy to defeat.
Vaidya knew that he needed a special team of soldiers. He immediately called Roger in London and asked him to send his best soldier, the Ghost.
Roger was happy with the request and called Ayush into his office. Ayush had just finished killing a drug lord in South Africa and was resting for a few days.
He walked into Roger's office and asked him what he wanted. Roger said, "There is going to be an operation in India. We need you there."
Ayush was happy to return to his homeland. He immediately packed his bags and then went to Heathrow airport with Roger.
They took a flight to New Delhi and then arrived in the afternoon. General Vaidya was waiting for them at the airport and greeted them warmly.
He immediately drove them back to the Army's headquarters in Delhi and then briefed Ayush on the operation.
"We need you to go into the Golden Temple before our troops attack it," he told Ayush. "We need you to kill as many terrorists as possible before they are ready."
Ayush nodded in agreement and then went back with General Vaidya to his hotel room. They slept for a few hours before heading back to Amritsar early in the morning.
Ayush went inside the temple alone at night dressed as a civilian. He saw many terrorists hiding in the temple with their guns pointed at the entrance.
Ayush knew it was not going to be easy to get out alive. He quickly killed two terrorists quietly and took their weapons. Ayush knew that they would be missed very soon so he quickly shot many more terrorists from their weapons.
He knew that the other terrorists had heard him and he had to run away quickly. Ayush ran back out of the temple and jumped over the fence. The terrorists fired back at him but Ayush dodged their bullets quickly.
He then threw a grenade at the terrorists and ran towards the Army's lines. Many terrorists were killed by the grenade but some had escaped and chased Ayush.
He quickly shot many of them dead and then ran towards the soldiers waiting on the road. Ayush jumped inside one of the tanks and then drove into the temple with the soldiers.
The soldiers started shooting at the terrorists in the temple. Ayush quickly got out of the tank and then ran around the temple killing many more terrorists.
They fought for many hours before they were finally defeated. Ayush had killed many terrorists with his gun and had saved many soldiers' lives.
He was happy that he had saved India from breaking apart. Ayush walked out of the temple proudly with the other soldiers and then jumped back into General Vaidya's helicopter.
They flew back to Delhi again where Ayush was greeted by Indira Gandhi herself. She hugged him tightly and said, "Thank you for saving India. I am going to give you India's highest military honour for your bravery."
