Rio's blade clashed against Captain Sylvia's rapier for the final time. Sparks scattered as both combatants breathed heavily, their movements slowing. Sweat dripped down Rio's brow, but his grip remained steady.

"Not bad…" Sylvia smirked, her stance loosening. "But this is where it ends."

She lunged forward with a rapid thrust aimed at Rio's chest. Time seemed to slow. Rio, sensing the incoming strike, activated Shadow Step and sidestepped at the last moment. His blade sliced horizontally, grazing Sylvia's shoulder just enough to disarm her.

Her rapier fell to the deck. Rio's sword pointed at her throat.

"Yield." His voice was calm but commanding.

Sylvia raised her hands in surrender, a satisfied grin on her face. "Impressive… You're stronger than I expected."

The crew erupted into cheers, acknowledging Rio's victory. Sylvia stood up and patted him on the shoulder.

"You've earned my respect, lad. The ship's yours until we reach our destination."

As Rio sheathed his sword, he walked to the bow of the ship, feeling a strange pull in his chest. His eyes scanned the horizon, and then he saw it—a shadowy, distant land emerging through the mist.

"Land!" Rio shouted, his voice echoing across the deck. The sailors turned their heads, eyes widening at the sight.

"Prepare to dock," he ordered.

The crew rushed to adjust the sails, steering the vessel toward the unknown shore. As the ship drew closer, a chilling breeze swept through the air, carrying an unnatural stillness.

But Rio's heart raced—not with fear, but with anticipation.
