Chapter 69 Holy Temple Knights_2

"Hide?" Xu Mo looked at Nan Xiangyi and asked.

"..." Nan Xiangyi looked at him, somewhat doubtful. Would Xu Mo really hide?

"Zero, I kind of miss mom!" Xu Mo said to Zero.

"..." Zero was completely baffled by Xu Mo's sudden statement. Miss mom?

He must be missing Master Qiong!

Last time they were followed by the Royal Knights, Master Qiong hadn't appeared but had annihilated the followers from afar, causing an accident.

"It's my mom." Zero somewhat admired the guy's shamelessness.

"Your mom is my mom," Xu Mo said.

Nan Xiangyi looked puzzled at their conversation, her face filled with question marks.

Miss mom???

Why would Xu Mo miss Zero's mom? What kind of scandalous remark is that?

However, Nan Xiangyi was destined never to know the answer.

The atmosphere at Lucas University was somewhat tense, especially after they learned about the Holy Temple Knights, a Slaughter Army. Although the Holy Temple Knights led by Nilo wouldn't dare to massacre at Lucas University, there was still an oppressive feeling that made everyone sense a shadow looming overhead.

However, the school should step in, right?

This place is ultimately Lucas Star, and also the highest institution of the Star System Alliance. Neither Nilo nor the Holy Temple Knights would dare to mess around.

Finally, tomorrow is the day Nilo is scheduled to visit.

Today, the school atmosphere seemed somewhat strange. Although everything looked normal, the way the media and various messages portrayed it felt like a stone weighing on the students' hearts.

During break time, students walked around the campus, gathering in groups of three or twos, all discussing what might happen tomorrow.

At the library, when it was time to close, Xu Mo approached Mr. Lu and said, "Mr. Lu, I'd like to take tomorrow off."

"No problem," Mr. Lu nodded. "You don't need to come tomorrow."

"Thank you, Mr. Lu," Xu Mo thanked him, and the people around borrowing books breathed a sigh of relief. It was good to avoid attention, and they too didn't want Xu Mo to encounter any trouble. Who knew if Nilo would go crazy?

Xu Mo and Zero left the library together.

"Heading to the company?" Walking on the campus lawn, Zero asked Xu Mo softly.

Xu Mo shook his head, "Tomorrow I will be with Princess Elizabeth. I'm worried she might encounter trouble."

Zero felt something was odd upon hearing Xu Mo's words and looked at him.

Telling her that he needs to protect another girl?

Xu Mo seemed to realize he had said something improper and quietly took Zero's hand, which was cool and fragile, very comfortable to hold. He squeezed it, making Zero's expression even more peculiar.

"Princess Elizabeth is now highly popular and is the face of the group. What will happen tomorrow is still unclear. During her time at school, she doesn't have powerful guards. Only after graduation might she be assigned to the Royal Knights. I'm afraid Nilo might trouble her, I need to follow up," Xu Mo explained softly, holding Zero's hand.

There was another reason; he still didn't want to reveal himself to everyone.

If Nilo sought trouble tomorrow, seeking help from students like before would be useless. The opponent was coming with the Holy Temple Knights, and most students at Lucas University hadn't seen blood.

In that case, should he intervene or not?

If he did intervene, many things would be revealed, and the entire Lucas University would know about him, and then he wouldn't be able to stay.

For now, it was more suitable for him to stay behind the scenes. Even if people knew, it should only be a few like Princess Elizabeth. It shouldn't be publicized as Blue Star Energy Technology Group still needed time to grow.

"Okay," Zero nodded 'obediently' and said, "You don't need to be nervous, I won't hit you."

She had learned a lot from books.

"..." Xu Mo looked at Zero, who was also naively looking back at him. Xu Mo said, "Then you're really good!"

"Good?" Zero showed a puzzled expression, the word still somewhat elusive in its meaning.

"It means very nice," Xu Mo explained.

Zero nodded lightly. It seems the teachings from the book were indeed useful.

The two walked hand in hand on campus, many onlookers casting glances filled with envy, jealousy, and resentment.

Pah, scumbag!

But Xu Mo, this guy, still had the mood to stroll and chat with his girlfriend, living a carefree life. It wasn't clear if he had taken leave for tomorrow. It would be best to avoid the limelight then.

After having dinner with Zero and resting for a while, in the evening, Xu Mo once again visited the castle where Princess Elizabeth lived.

Princess Elizabeth was somewhat surprised to see Xu Mo's arrival.

Since the school year started, Xu Mo had only appeared twice, the last time allowing her to take the front stage, which had brought her great benefits.

And tomorrow, with Nilo coming, it was Xu Mo's second appearance.

Elizabeth was still dressed in simple clothes, becoming more casual in front of Xu Mo; she was less concerned about her image, a sign of trust that only appeared with those close to her.

Clearly, Xu Mo had completely gained Elizabeth's trust.

"Sir," Elizabeth called out.

"Put on your Battle Armor," Xu Mo said.

"Okay," Elizabeth understood, then went back into the castle to change into her Battle Armor, and when she came out, Xu Mo was ready.

"Buzz."

Source Power burst forth, Elizabeth charged forward with her Energy Sword slashing fiercely, its brilliance slicing through the night.

Xu Mo slightly sidestepped, turning his body into an afterimage and instantly counterattacked with his sword.

"Thud," a soft sound echoed as the sword landed on Elizabeth's chest, not heavily, making her step back.

"Again," Xu Mo's voice was husky.

Elizabeth attacked again, but the outcome was the same.

Half an hour later, Elizabeth ceased her attack, drenched in sweat, yet she felt weaker than before, powerless in front of her mentor.

Could it be that her mentor had always been holding back?

"Not bad progress, it seems you have been training hard, well done," Xu Mo's voice was hoarse but carried a hint of tenderness, Elizabeth looked at Xu Mo, feeling something was amiss.

Her mentor was not usually like this.

"Sir, did I do something wrong?" Elizabeth weakly asked, could this be their last meeting?

"No, you've done very well," Xu Mo said, "Why do you ask?"

"You seem a bit off today," Elizabeth responded.

"Off?" Xu Mo looked puzzled.

"Yes," Elizabeth nodded and said softly, "You're, gentler with your strikes."

"..."

Xu Mo stared at Elizabeth in astonishment, he had not sparred in too long and had gotten rusty!

His intention was, from now on, to be kinder to Elizabeth in case one day she held a grudge when all was revealed.

But unexpectedly...

Was she becoming a bit addicted?

Then no more Mr. Nice Guy.

"Again," Xu Mo said.

"What?" Elizabeth looked at Xu Mo and said, "Okay."

Then, Elizabeth continued her assault, and before long, she had taken quite a few hits, getting knocked down once and getting up wanting to continue the fight.

"That's enough," Xu Mo said lightly.

Elizabeth stopped, looking at Xu Mo, who now seemed much more normal.

If the students of Lucas University knew that the noble Princess Elizabeth was like this, they would certainly think she was abnormal!

"I will come over tomorrow morning," Xu Mo spoke.

"Hmm?" Elizabeth looked at Xu Mo, puzzled.

"To be your guard for a day," Xu Mo explained.

Elizabeth was stunned by Xu Mo's words, then felt a surge of warmth.

Tomorrow, Nilo was coming, and although she didn't think she would be in any trouble, she still felt the warmth.

Her mentor, willing to be her guard for a day.

"Okay," Elizabeth nodded.

"Happy Birthday," Xu Mo said, "Consider it a birthday gift."

"Hmm," Elizabeth nodded with a smile, her heart warmed, the outside world was buzzing about her coming of age birthday, and as a student of Lucas University, it wasn't strange for her mentor to know.

"I should go back now," Xu Mo said, then turned and left.

Elizabeth watched Xu Mo's departing figure, speechless.

She really wanted to know who her mentor was, wondering when 'the right time' mentioned by her mentor would be.

Elizabeth turned and walked towards the castle, wishing her mentor could always be by her side!
