The Seventh Base

In the main ship where Lauren was, he fixed his gaze on the space below as the ground below was magnified on the screen and the instrument panels lit up simultaneously.

The next moment, a resplendent beam of light pierced through space, from the sky to underground, turning into a horrifying column of light that would destroy everything within it.

Almost simultaneously, the weapon below also fired, unleashing beams of particle beams that transformed into a terrifying barrage of energy storms, colliding with the attack from the main ship in mid-air, causing a bright convergence of light above Steel Dome City.

"Buzz!"

A bright light shot forth, leaving the people of Steel Dome City barely able to open their eyes as the blinding energy light raged, unleashing a storm of destruction in the air that spread outward. Had the firefight taken place on the ground, untold numbers of lives would have been lost to the energy storm, and even the city itself wouldn't withstand several attacks of this magnitude—it would be leveled.

Within the base, a warship of similar giant scale rose into the sky, and at the same time, anti-air weapons appeared across different military districts of Steel Dome City, locking on to their targets.

This warship was purchased from the Sasi Kingdom. In the warship's command room, Qiu Yuan stood firmly, his features resolute and his eyes filled with a killing intent. They had not yet perfected it when they faced the invasion.

They were racing against time, having upgraded a batch of weapons as a preemptive measure. Such a force wasn't enough for a prolonged battle, but it would suffice for an invasion battle—as long as they could destroy the enemy's initial assault.

In the main ship of the Black God Fleet, Lauren frowned and asked, "What kind of weapon is that?"

Could their fleet's main cannon actually have been intercepted? The enemy's ground weapons were capable of countering their main cannon's assault?

"I don't know," said the Commander, also looking troubled as he ordered, "Have the entire fleet bombard the base, destroying the enemy weapon systems."

Instantly, the entire fleet formation opened fire on the ground simultaneously, a barrage so dense it blotted out the sky. The citizens of Steel Dome City who witnessed this scene felt a sense of despair. Was the city facing yet another catastrophic disaster?
