"Not close," replied Nan Xiangyi, cutting him off. It was hypocritical to discuss personal feelings when discussing business interests. If they were close, why not offer a larger share?

"Forty percent for you, sixty percent for the group on the Canaan Star subsidiary," said Xu Mo. "The group's shares are already saturated."

Nan Xiangyi looked at Xu Mo with contempt. This guy only thought about carving out his own gain from others, a true profiteer.

"Xiao Nan, you know the shareholders of Blue Star Energy Technology Group. Although I absolutely trust them, what if their interests grow too large someday and the people behind them want a piece of the group's pie?"

Xu Mo looked at Nan Xiangyi earnestly. "I need absolute controlling shares. You can understand my predicament, right?"

Xu Mo held twenty-six percent, the scientific team had twenty-five percent. Together, they had a controlling fifty-one percent, maintaining his dominance regardless of changes in other shareholders' stakes.

"For the subsidiary, you'll invest in its establishment. Ninety percent for Canaan Star, ten percent for the group," Nan Xiangyi countered.

Xu Mo was taken aback as he looked at Nan Xiangyi. They stared at each other from close range.

"What's a vampire?" asked Nan Xiangyi. She had never heard of it.

"Xiao Nan, you're gentle and elegant, beautifully attractive, talented, and I'm sure you have a kind heart," said Xu Mo.

"Then it's the group shares," Nan Xiangyi didn't fall for it and interrupted him straight away. Which was more, ten percent of the group's shares or ninety percent of a subsidiary's?

For a subsidiary, it meant only developing on Canaan Star, limited to just the Canaan Star market.

"If Canaan Star takes ninety percent of the shares, it will certainly promote the company vigorously, as it's their own interest. Don't you think?" posed Nan Xiangyi.

Xu Mo had not expected Nan Xiangyi to turn his own tactics back on him.

"Appearances can be deceiving," Xu Mo exclaimed, glaring at Nan Xiangyi. "Seventy percent, no more. The group is investing, and giving you seventy percent is practically a giveaway."

"Eighty percent," said Nan Xiangyi. The two began to haggle.

"No more negotiating. I've decided the Blue Star Energy Technology Group will not establish a subsidiary on Canaan Star," Xu Mo said to Nan Xiangyi. "Besides, Xiao Nan, from now on, Brother Xu Mo won't know you anymore."
