I began exercises with my unit we made marching out main priority I gave Henry and Zack five men each so when my army grows from the recruits that are being trained back on Almswood they would be prepared I also made my army learn to construction of basic walls and bridges so we can advance if we face obstacles

We also practiced formations and did regular patrolling the field and looking for more wood and other things like food and great soil to farm there were many obstacles like to the west the where many any colony's whe have abserved from afar but if we get close we will become food so I told Nate to bring two men with him every day and keep and eye and If he saw them making there way here he should report it immediately

And to the east there where many animals like lizards and bees so we don't even bother to go over there we keep an eye on what we could see and for the moment keep safe

We had collected this info for almost two weeks

Nate's POV

I have been the scout for Jake and kept ab eye on the ants but today on our daily check on the field we saw foot prints by the tree

" Hey you"

" Sir" Nate " run to Jake and report that human foot prints have been found by the tree hurry "

He began to run. I kept exploring with my other soldier there where more foot prints there where about six of them I could not make where they came from and where they left but it was clear that they have been seeing and keeping and eye on us after more exploring and no more clues we left back to the door we kept an eye on our back

Nate POV ends

"Hmm they found us boss what do we do now"

" Don't worry just keep an eye on them but don't attack them they will be on alert that commander of there's is getting ready for war our only chance is to attack them by surprise"

I had just got the message that Nate had sent i got the others ready and marched outside

" Everyone keep and eye out and don't let your guard down"

Finally I found Nate walking back to us

Jake " did you find them" Nate " no sir I don't but we should keep and eye out and not let our guard down from here on our"

Jake " alright Nate go back to Almswood and tell the council about this new discovery make sure eto ask for more people and request for Cain if he could join us if he is felling well"

Nate" yes sir I will head out right away"

Jake" Alright everyone back to the door make a wall outside of the door so we can hold out if we are attacked today"

Nate had ran and informed Leo about the discovery and he ran towards Almswood

Leo Pov

Mm it appears we will have problems from hear on out

Leo " Jon prepar yourself and take five men to support Jakes"

Jon " sir I will depart immediately"

Outside

The soldiers had brought wood from the bush and inside that we had stockpiled for a while Jon's reinforcements arrived a little while ago I had them put on the flanck of the door we made sure to account for everybody and kept people watching the field so we wouldn't be attacked out of nowhere

Nate's POV

After informing Leo I'm ran for Almswood to ask for reinforcements and to tell them that the Northern gang had infact followed them here

I screamed that it was an emergency they let me through and in ran strategy to the councils building

Martin's POV

It was a normal day I kept fighting back and forth with the council if we should hold elections i was getting tired of this that just went on and on about me wanting to be a dictator and I was starting to lose my patience when a messenger arrived bringing news of the outside

Nate " Martin they have found footprints close to the tree and it appears that they have been keeping an eye on us we think it's the northern gang"

Hmm what to do I want to go out and deal with them immediately but we don't know how many they are and how strong they are there's also the problem that the council might stab me in the back of I leave them to they're own devices

Cain I'll send Cain with the fifteen soldiers make him the leader of the army but how to convince these fools to agree to this

"Maurice I send Cain with the inner army and Leo will become the second in command of the army they will all be on the door do y'all agree"

Maurice " Martin we don't know if Cain would be able to lead the army"and Leo he is certified to lead a army my boy at least got trained numb me". Maurice " true but still Leo has been at the door and he's commanded there for a long while your son has been recovering from losing in combat

I was made I wasn't going to lie this fuck doesn't get realize that my boy wasn't there to fight but to recruit people to join us in going to kill him I promise

" How about this Leo will keep command of the military base and my son will command the outside of the base over the serpent army"

Maurice pov

Good if we control the door we could cut him off if he doesn't accept when he loses.

Normal POV

And so they decided on that plan they sent Cain at the head of 15 soldiers to the door with messenger to Leo of the plan ahead.

We saw that they had more people on the other side of the door

" So what do we do now they probably won't venture out and play it defensevly from now on"

" Listen Liam we will attack at night but it's a small step back we already defeated a gov so whats another"
