Chapter 4. (16)
He stood there for a moment not knowing how to react to the situation. What does he do now? He is a dragon killer so he could just kill the dragon however he just couldn’t bring himself to kill a baby dragon that wasn’t even trying to kill him. Also he wasn’t sure how its mother would react should it ever discover he had killed its child. Female Typhoomerangs were known to be extremely protective of their young which was something Turyn had used when dealing with the female Typhoomerang yesterday so he was sure that if the mother found out he had killed its child it probably wouldn’t end well for him.
Even with Genesis he knew he wasn’t yet ready to face a Typhoomerang yet as just its fiery tornado breath would burn him to ash if its rotating wings didn’t slice him apart into little, tiny pieces. He estimated that the Typhoomerang was a dragon on the level of a powerful Tier 2 species bordering on Tier 3 when enraged and only a few Tier 2 ability or a single Tier 3 ability would give him a chance of fighting it one on one but he didn’t have enough energy in Genesis to grant himself a Tier 2 ability only a few more Tier 1 ability.
He had decided to categorize the dragons in terms of Tiers rather than the usual classes of Stoker and Tracker class like the one used by Hiccup and the others in order to also compare the threat level of various beings in comparison to his current abilities.
To give a proper explanation, Turyn classified his abilities in Tiers each Tier representing various factors such as the potential, power, development speed among other things. With Tier 1 being an ability with the lowest capabilities while Tier 6 being an ability with the potential to affect an entire Country.
He chose to classify dragons in the exact same manner in order to be analyse a specific dragon’s threat level when compared to himself and the abilities he currently possessed. A Tier 1 dragon is a neighbourhood or village level threat while a Tier 6 dragon is a country level threat however, he had yet to hear about such a terrifying dragon. Even the king of dragons in the films could only be considered a powerful Tier 3 dragon at most despite its ability to control the minds of other dragons. A tier 3 dragon is a city level threat capable of wiping out an entire city back on Earth and even in this world.
The female Typhoomerang from yesterday with its large stature, fiery typhoon flames, razor sharp wings and ability to create razor sharp winds capable slicing numerous beasts into diced pieces of meat based on his new power scale was considered a powerful Tier 2 dragon capable of wiping out half a city.
Since he had established that killing the baby dragon was a terrible idea, he needed to find some other way to deal with this little dangerous problem.
He could return it to the forest, but he wasn’t sure if it would safely return to its mother and even if it did, he wasn’t sure if it wouldn’t just simply return back here since he was sure it now knew the location of his house.
After a few minutes of thinking Turyn sighed as he currently had no ideas of how to get rid of the baby so he decided to find a way to survive his encounter with the mother which was by granting himself another ability but he had to choose carefully as the current two abilities he had granted himself were at the Peak if Tier one which meant that they consumed more energy than the average Tier 1 ability when creating them and so he only had one more chance to make either 1 powerful Tier 1 ability or 2 average Tier 1 abilities or 3 weak Tier 1 abilities. He had already had another ability in mind but now he had to replace it with another one which would help him prepare for his soon encounter with the Mother Dragon.
He couldn’t leave his room as the baby Typhoomerang would just follow him allowing it to be seen by everyone and even if he did, he had nowhere else to go where he would be granted the peace and private necessary to activate his abilities and so he decided to simply to create his new power in his room. His parents would be out by now dealing with various things in the village as they were both the chief and his wife and hence had a lot of responsibilities and work to do. Now he just needed for a way to prevent his screams from alerting the entire village of his activities.
After a few seconds of thought he decided to use his pillow to muffle his screams and tie it to his mouth with a rope to hold it in place which is what he did. As for the baby Typhoomerang, he didn’t want it interrupting his procedure and so after giving it a few soft pats on its head and back which it seemed to enjoy, he slowly held its wings together and began to tie them together with a rope ensuring the rope was not in any way reachable by the wings’ talons or else they would be easily shredded by the sharp talons. The dragon at this point was starting to get squeamish and wanted to open to open its mouth to burn away the rope but Turyn quickly held its jaws together and tied them shut with another rope. He finally tied its legs so it wouldn’t be able to move around.
At this point the baby Typhoomerang was squirming violently across the floor clearly wanting to be released but it wouldn’t be able to so as Turyn had tied down everything it could have used to escape. When it realized this, it looked at Turyn with a sad look in its eyes as while letting out soft yelping sounds which were clearly a cry for help.
Turyn saw this and couldn’t help but want to comfort it
