The Sekirei’s Covenant

Chapter 535: 97. Getting More and More Evil

The battle with the Marquis Voban was over. Just as Erica had predicted, our classmate Sora became famous throughout the entire magic world once again.

As a newcomer who had only recently become a Campione by slaying a single god, he actually repelled the oldest and most powerful Campione. This result indeed made countless people's jaws drop, and those who originally held contempt for this novice Campione now completely took him seriously.

Countless people cast envious glances at the 'Copper-Black Cross', jealous of their luck, because the knight and lover of this powerfully rising Campione, Erica Blandelli, was a member of their society. Because of this connection, the status of the entire 'Copper-Black Cross' in the magic world significantly increased.

As the rival of the 'Copper-Black Cross', the 'Bronze-Black Cross' was quite depressed. The knight they sent out actually defected during the battle, essentially completely offending that old Campione. Originally, this was no different from a devastating disaster for them, but what was slightly comforting was that they also managed to connect with the powerfully rising new Campione because of this, which could barely be considered breaking even.

Because of this war between Campiones, there were quite a few tremors throughout the entire magic world. However, Sora, as the instigator of everything, wasn't very concerned about these things and was too lazy to find out.

After returning home, he had no intention of going to school. He and Erica just covered their heads and slept until a day and a night later when they felt their bodies and strength had recovered before getting up.

After recovering, the first thing Sora wanted to do was to find Lady Kaoru to settle the score. That despicable tomboy had taken advantage of his weakest moment to beat him up, forcibly took Yuri away, and left him alone in the ruins of the battlefield. In the end, it was Erica who picked up the poor Demon King.

Although they had a friendship, Sora felt that he couldn't let go of his anger without giving her a good beating. However, to his frustration, he suddenly realized that he had no idea where Lady Kaoru lived!

Moreover, given the cunning nature of that vixen, he probably wouldn't see her for a long time. While Yuri surely knew her whereabouts, it seemed that Lady Kaoru had silenced her. Since they had just clarified their relationship, Sora felt it was inappropriate to press Yuri for information.

Well, forget it. He would let Lady Kaoru off for now. But when he finally caught her, he would settle both the principal and the interest!

Although Sora usually didn't care much about others' affairs, he couldn't help but laugh when he heard some news from Erica.

Because, old man Voban had clashed with that troublemaker Doni again!

Originally, Voban intended to summon a Heretic God, kill it, and gain new authorities and powers to extend his lifespan. However, his plan was ruined by this junior Demon King, leaving Voban fuming with anger.

On his way back to his lair, Voban decided to visit Doni to ask if he had deliberately provoked the war between him and King Kusanagi, and whether those curses about him entering the coffin and holding a memorial service were from Doni or King Kusanagi.

If Doni had just told the truth, it would have been fine, and Voban would only hate Sora more for deceiving him. However, Doni, being a troublemaker who thrived on chaos, thought that if he told the truth, Voban would just leave and go fight Sora next time.

As a battle maniac, Doni absolutely couldn't allow that! If you want to fight, come to me!

So, Doni's eyes twinkled, and he nodded with a smile, admitting it.

"It was me, all me. Four years ago, I stole your prey, and now I ruined your plan. How about it, old man Voban? Are you angry? Come and hit me!"

Voban, who was never known for his good temper, turned green with rage. Are all these juniors so unruly now?!

Nothing more to say, let's fight!!!

And so, the two of them clashed fiercely.

Voban, fueled by his anger, went all out. As the oldest and most powerful Demon King, he wasn't just boasting. He quickly overwhelmed Doni, leaving him disoriented.

Of course, although Voban had the upper hand in terms of combat power, Doni, with his steel-like resilience and the authority of the magic sword that could cut through anything, managed to stab Voban a few times, breaking some of his authorities.

In a battle between Demon Kings, it's nearly impossible to kill each other. Voban had usurped the authority of the God of the Underworld, so even if he died, he could come back to life. Doni had usurped the authority of the indestructible steel from the Norse hero Siegfried, making him virtually unkillable.

So, they just fought, tormenting each other until Voban vented his anger and Doni had his fill of fighting, and then they went their separate ways.

After hearing the whole story from Erica, Sora laughed so hard his stomach hurt. Without hesitation, he called Doni to mock him mercilessly.

When Sora called, Doni was lying in bed, groaning.

Although his steel-like body couldn't be killed, Voban had broken a few of his bones. While the bodies of Godslayers have strong recovery abilities, without a specific healing authority, Doni would probably have to stay in bed for a few more days!

After trading insults and bantering over the phone, Sora felt quite pleased.

This incident was finally over, and it was time to settle accounts. Seeing the scrutinizing and amused smile on his knight Erica's face, Sora knew that what was coming would come.

As for Yuri, Sora had his own principles. Since they had clarified their relationship, he wouldn't back down on these matters.

Erica didn't pursue this issue either; in fact, she encouraged it. Ever since she found out that Sora had many women in other dimensions, Erica felt a great sense of crisis and changed her strategy.

To avoid being overshadowed by other women in the future, Erica naturally had to find more allies for herself. Now, she held an absolute advantage, and all the newcomers could just be her little sisters!

Next was the matter of the unscrupulous witch on Sardinia, which was Erica's main concern. How did her Demon King get involved with that troublesome woman? When did it happen? Why didn't she know? These things had to be clarified!

Since the memory seal in his mind had cracked, Sora felt that his face had thickened significantly. He shamelessly recounted his affair with Zola, completely unbothered.

After hearing Sora's story, Erica frowned. While she didn't mind that Sora had hooked up with the unscrupulous witch, what infuriated her was that the despicable woman had beaten her to it!

With a dark expression, Erica felt this was a serious issue. If not handled properly, her greatest advantage—the position of the first queen—might be in danger!

Without a word, she took out her phone and called Zola, then went into her room alone. Although Sora wasn't sure what was going on, he guessed that Erica was probably negotiating with that unscrupulous woman.

He didn't know what the two women discussed for so long, but seeing Erica come out with a radiant smile, it seemed the conversation went well.

That's good, that's good. He wouldn't have to resort to extreme measures, phew…

Life finally returned to normal. Every day, Sora and Erica went to school, and he didn't have to worry about homework or exams—he left them all to his teddy bear Athena. Life couldn't be more decadent.

Although Yuri wasn't in the same class, since they had clarified their relationship, they no longer felt restrained. Whenever they had time, they would spend it together, and with Erica's help, their feelings continued to grow.

Sora estimated that with the right opportunity, he could finally win over this shrine maiden!

Well, Sora admitted that he seemed to be getting more and more wicked lately, and his desires were growing stronger. Erica alone was starting to be unable to satisfy him…
