THE SECRETS OF CELESTIAN BEYOND THE VEIL

Chapter 9: CHAPTER 9: OLD MEMORIES RESURFACE

Meanwhile, in the League of Enders' medical facility, Jennifer is undergoing emergency surgery.

"Damn it! This is all my fault. I should have never let her go by herself," Gus said, punching a hole in the wall next to him.

"Gus, you can't blame yourself. Even if you had sent people with her, she would have knocked them out and left them behind," Jack said, putting his hand on Gus's shoulder.

Gus didn't say anything; he just shrugged off his hand and walked away.

"Hey!!!! Wait, Gus, where are you going?" Tatana asked.

"I need to punch something, and I don't want it to be another human," Gus said, mashing his teeth.

As Gus walked away, Tatana and Jack exchanged a concerned glance. They knew Gus's temper was volatile, but they also knew he was worried about Jennifer. Tatana followed Gus to the gym, where he began to punch a punching bag with intense ferocity. Jack watched from the doorway, his arms crossed.

"Gus, stop," Tatana said, grabbing his arm. "You're going to hurt yourself."

Gus shook her off and continued punching the bag. "I need to release some tension," he growled.

Tatana nodded understandingly and took a a step back.

As Gus continued to punch the bag, it eventually broke under the intense pressure spilling sund everywhere.

"Clean this up and get me another F*cking bag." He shouted at his assistant.

"Let's just, let him be for now, I want to check in on Joss and see how she's doing," Tatana said with a sigh.

As Joss sat by her mother's bedside, she felt a mix of emotions. She was relieved that her mother was going to be okay, but she was also angry that Alexandria had hurt her.

"What happened between Mom and Alexandria?" Joss wondered to herself. She had heard stories about their complicated past, but she didn't know the details.

As Joss was lost in thought, the door to the room opened, and Tatana walked in, carrying a cup of coffee to give to Joss. "Hey, Joss, how is she doing?" Tatana asked, handing her the cup of coffee.

Joss took a sip of the coffee before she spoke. "My mom...I mean, Lady Griffith is recovering well."

Tatana chuckled at how professionally Joss was behaving at a time like this. "You know, Joss, it's okay to call her 'Mom'," she said with a smile.

"No, absolutely not. She would scold me if I did that when I'm at work," Joss said with a sigh.

Just then, Jennifer's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled weakly at Joss. "Hey, kiddo," she whispered.

Joss's eyes welled up with tears as she rushed to her mother's side. "Mom, I'm so glad you're okay," she said, her voice shaking.

"I'll go get Gus," Tatana said, rushing out of the room.

Jennifer reached out with a weak hand and stroked Joss's hair. "I'm sorry, Joss. I didn't mean to put you through this."

Joss shook her head. "It's not your fault, Mom. We'll get through this together."

As they talked, Joss couldn't help but notice the tubes and wires attached to her mother's body. It was a harsh reminder of the severity of Jennifer's injuries.

"What's going to happen to Alexandria?" Joss asked, her voice laced with anger.

Jennifer's expression turned cold. "She'll pay for what she's done," she said, her voice firm.

Joss nodded, determination burning within her. She would stand by her mother's side and help her take down Alexandria.

Just then, Gus walked into the room. "Jennifer, you're awake," he said, relief etched on his face.

Jennifer smiled weakly. "Yeah, I just have a big hole in my gut. I feel like a hollow tree," she said, with a weak laugh.hahaaha ow. It hurts to laugh.

Gus nodded. "We'll get Alexandria, Jennifer. I promise."

""Okay, everyone, that's enough excitement for one day. Miss Griffith needs to get her rest," the doctor said, gently intervening.

Gus nodded, his expression softening. "Of course, Doctor. We'll let her rest."

Tatana and Joss exchanged a look, both of them understanding the need for Jennifer to recover. They slowly filed out of the room, leaving Jennifer to rest.

As Jennifer lay in the infirmary, her head rested on the pillow, and memories from her past began to flood her mind. She thought back to her childhood, growing up in a family of powerful witches. Her parents, Aurora and Cassius, had been renowned for their magical abilities and their role in maintaining the balance of magic in the world.

She remembered the complicated relationship she had with her sister, Alexandria. Alexandria was sometimes mean to Jennifer, but then there were other times she would also show her kindness. Jennifer had always struggled to understand her sister's moods and motivations.

One day, while they were out shopping, they were attacked by some demons. The demons had been tracking there magical aura.

The demon's voice was menacing as he sneered at Jennifer. "We have found you, the one who is worthy of becoming a bride to the demon king," one of the demons sneered, his voice dripping with malice.

Jennifer's eyes narrowed as she subconsciously stepped in front of Alexandria. "I don't know who you are, but I will not let you get near my sister," she said, taking a fighting stance.

The demon sneered at her. "You have got it all wrong, we are not here for your sister. We are here for you," the demon said, pointing a finger at Jennifer.

Alexandria's eyes flashed with anger, and she stepped forward, her magic at the ready. "You'll never take her," she said, her voice fierce and protective. "She's under my protection, and I won't let you harm her."

The demons snarled, baring their teeth. "We'll see about that," one of them said, charging at Jennifer and Alexandria.

The two sisters stood back-to-back, their magic swirling around them as they prepared to face the demons. Jennifer's heart pounded in her chest, but she was determined to protect herself and her sister.

As the demons attacked, Jennifer and Alexandria fought bravely, their magic complementing each other in a way that Jennifer had never experienced before. They were a team, working together to protect each other and defeat their enemies....
