The golden light of Alabasta's morning sun spilled across Nanohana as Rael and Kaya walked through its bustling streets, the chaos of the Grand Bazaar rising like a living tide. Merchants shouted prices. Spices filled the air. And amidst the noise, something darker lingered—an undercurrent of tension.

Rael kept his hood low, scanning every rooftop, every alley. Kaya walked beside him, map in hand, glancing between landmarks and the small coin Miss Sunday had left them.

"She said the Grand Bazaar," Kaya murmured. "But didn't say where. This place is massive."

Rael studied the coin again. Ancient script was etched along the edge—faint, but clear. "It's a riddle."

He turned it slowly, and the light caught the inner symbol. A lion devouring the sun.

Kaya tapped his arm and pointed. "Look. That awning over there. Same symbol."

A crimson tent at the far end of the market bore the same emblem on its banner—faded but unmistakable. Two tall men flanked the entrance, dressed as spice traders but clearly not just that.

Rael gave them a quick nod as he passed. They let him in without a word.

Inside, the air changed. Cooler. Quiet. Drapes dimmed the sunlight, and the scent of incense replaced the dust of the street. Kaya followed close behind him.

A curtain at the far end of the tent parted. Miss Sunday stepped through.

She wore a different cloak today—sand-colored and sleeveless, revealing elegant black gloves. Her dark eyes locked with Rael's. Calm. Calculating.

"You found it," she said, motioning to the cushions. "Good. Sit."

Rael did, slowly. Kaya joined him, eyeing Robin with visible suspicion.

"You knew we'd come," Rael said.

Robin smiled faintly. "Of course. You don't strike me as the type to walk away from curiosity."

"You're not a local," Kaya said, voice firm. "Who do you really work for?"

"A dangerous man," Robin replied smoothly. "But perhaps not more dangerous than your companion."

Rael raised an eyebrow. "You've done your homework."

"I like to be prepared," she said. "It keeps me alive. Unlike many others who've crossed you."

There was a beat of silence. Robin placed a scroll on the table between them.

"I'm here to offer knowledge. And perhaps... the first of many exchanges."

Kaya glanced at Rael, then asked, "Why us?"

Robin's smile was thin. "Because you're already being hunted. And because there are things in this world the World Government would rather no one ever finds. Especially you."

Rael leaned forward. "Such as?"

Robin unrolled the scroll. Ancient markings, desert paths, and at the center, a canyon marked with a symbol Kaya immediately recognized.

"The Canyon of the Sunken Seal," she whispered.

"That's where you're going," Robin said. "That's where you'll find what they want buried forever."

Rael eyed her. "Why help us?"

"I don't believe in sides," Robin said. "I believe in survival. And you've drawn the eye of those who never stop hunting."

Kaya spoke, quieter now. "If we take this path... they'll come for us again."

"They're already on their way," Robin said simply. "Cipher Pol doesn't like unknown variables."

Rael rose to his feet, folding the scroll. "Then we'll make noise. Let them come."

Robin watched him, something unreadable in her gaze. "Be careful, Rael. Not everything hidden in the sands should be uncovered."

He turned, leading Kaya out without another word.

Outside, the Grand Bazaar resumed its chaotic rhythm, as if nothing had changed.

But Kaya could feel it. The weight of something larger pulling them forward. She looked up at Rael. "Do you trust her?"

"No," he said. "But I believe her."

From a balcony above the market, a Cipher Pol agent watched them leave, lowering his binoculars.

He turned to the Den Den Mushi on the table. "Target has made contact with Miss Sunday. They've taken the scroll. They're heading south."

The snail's voice crackled: "Do not engage. Begin desert containment."

"Understood."

The agent watched Rael vanish into the crowd, then said quietly, "Let's see what you're really looking for."

As night fell over the port city, Rael and Kaya packed their supplies. Water skins. Rations. Weapons. The scroll was tucked into Rael's satchel.

He looked over the edge of the dock, wind ruffling his cloak. "The canyon's three days from Rainbase. Hard desert. No cover."

Kaya adjusted her gear. "And no turning back."

Rael nodded. "Exactly."

She stepped beside him. "Then let's find what they want to keep buried."

Rael stared into the darkness. Somewhere beyond the dunes, something ancient waited.

And someone was preparing to stop them.
