Chapter 493: Chapter 493: The Storm Lord's Resentment
Many factors influence combat power, and level is just one aspect. In a world where laws restrict them, even when the Whip Girl and the Spider Queen Lolth are on the same level, the Whip Girl cannot compete with Lolth and ends up being thoroughly defeated.
The same situation applies to the nearby battle, where the God of Hunt Marla is being overpowered by the Ocean Goddess, unable to fight back.
However, Muria does not relax, as other evil gods have descended, such as now when the Fish God Kuotaro, Bribodup, confronts him. Bribodup is a god whom Muria once humiliated, and of course, he is not the only one.
"Pitiful ant, this is the consequence of disrespecting a god." After descending and wielding a trident as a weapon, the Sea Mother arrogantly spoke as she struck Muria with her trident.
Compared to other gods, the Sea Mother has a more sensitive mind. She cannot tolerate mortal offenses, especially when her followers are continually being poached by other deities.
"Just a racial god!" Muria, struck to the ground by the Sea Mother's trident, looked up with a helpless smile. As an ocean god, Bribodup is not well-known, with a single-source belief, making her an obscure existence among middle-tier deities.
Yet, even so, Muria still cannot be her match. Gods who have lived for ages cannot be challenged by a young Titan and Dragon's child who hasn't lived for a century. Despite having barely enough power to contend with their avatars, Muria still needs time to hone his skills.
"Prepare to meet your end, blasphemer!" The Sea Mother raised her trident, condensing water vapor at its tip into a massive water spear aimed at Muria.
"I'm running out of steam." Feeling the power from the Dragon King's blood slightly subside, Muria stood up from the crater he had made, gripping his axe to face the attack.
"Crack!" Suddenly, the heavily reinforced space shattered like a mirror, forming a tall spatial tunnel filled with purple flames.
A massive crescent blade flew from the tunnel, slashing through the incoming water spear and striking the Sea Mother. A piece of lobster shell fell, part of the Sea Mother's avatar's head being sliced off.
Under the watchful eyes of various spectators, a massive nine-tailed fox with flowing silver-white fur gracefully and majestically walked out of the purple-flame-dyed spatial tunnel, standing protectively in front of Muria, exuding an air of dominance.
"What are you?" The Sea Mother, humiliated and partially decapitated under the scrutiny of numerous gods, was furious but dared not act rashly.
Without responding, the fox's sinister eyes scrutinized the Sea Mother for a moment before shifting to the other godly avatars. Under the fox's gaze, all battles ceased, as no god dared continue fighting in its presence. The chaotic battlefield fell silent.
"Even an epic would not underestimate a god." Angered by being ignored, the Sea Mother, in an attempt to defend her divine dignity, raised her trident...
"Smack!" A silver-white fox paw, surrounded by purple flames, slapped down on the Sea Mother's avatar, crushing it against a mountain, breaking it apart.
"Fox Emperor!" Ready to fight, Muria looked at the imposing and elegant nine-tailed Fox Emperor before him, delighted.
Muria relaxed, as he could not sense how strong this Underworld Purple Emperor was, but it was clear that these limited-power godly avatars were no match for him, as evidenced by the swift defeat of the Sea Mother's avatar.
"Do you wish to protect this Titan, powerful void being?" The Spider Queen asked, looking solemnly at the aloof Fox Emperor with silver-white hair flowing in the purple flames.
She did not recall such a powerful being in the Erathia world, so it undoubtedly came from the void.
Still silent, the Fox Emperor seemed disdainful of speaking with any god. Purple flames rose from his body, and nine enormous tails struck at the gathered godly avatars...
As the Fox Emperor appeared on the Synapse subcontinent, in a vast, primitive half-plane, the Savage Lord Archimonde moved. Images of the descended evil gods flashed in his eyes. He shook his head, "Not strong enough, I'll deal with them later!"
"Let's find those guys first!" With a thought, the half-plane, almost evolving into a complete world, trembled. World power converged, forming a golden path under his feet, stretching into the distance. Archimonde, with his retinue, embarked on this path.
In the Fury Domain, the Storm Lord Talos sat high on his throne, watching the battle on the Synapse subcontinent, quietly observing.
"I knew this half-blood Titan was special. Just as the Dragon King's power was running out, such a being appeared. But this Fox Emperor must be from the void, brought by the Titan! If it intruded on its own, that would be interesting."
Seeing the Fox Emperor appear, Talos spoke to himself with interest.
Until a golden path extended from the Erathia world to his divine realm, this powerful god's expression changed. He finally understood the strange feeling in his heart.
"Savage Lord, what do you want? I haven't provoked your Titans." Talos angrily looked at the towering Titan outside his divine realm, flanked by powerful otherworldly ancient dragons and a never-ending beast army.
"Your sub-gods have descended, participating in the war against my direct descendant. Your followers joined too." Armored and wielding a blood-stained double-bladed axe, Archimonde calmly stated an undeniable fact.
"I did not order an attack on your descendant." The Storm Lord cursed Marla and Ambori in his heart, the two fools dragging him into this mess, and those followers who went to cause trouble. "Their attack on your descendant was of their own volition, unrelated to me. Take it up with them, not my divine realm."
Talos swiftly shirked responsibility, suggesting Archimonde deal with the disobedient sub-gods, feeling no obligation to protect them.
"A main god like you can say such things? You claim no responsibility for your sub-gods' and followers' actions? Do you think I will believe that?" Archimonde lifted his axe, and the surrounding ancient dragons roared.
"What do you want?" Talos asked, knowing he couldn't completely deny responsibility.
"Give me a satisfactory explanation."
"What explanation do you want?"
"Divinity!"
"Impossible!" Talos flatly refused. Divinity is one of the four fundamental elements of a god, not easily separated.
"Then come out and fight me!"
"Hah!" Sitting on his throne, Talos sneered. "If you have the guts, bring your army into my divine realm. Aren't you Titans good at fighting?"
"You don't dare come out!" Archimonde's tone remained calm, knowing even he wouldn't rashly enter a powerful god's realm to fight.
"It's you who doesn't dare come in!" Talos retorted, confident. However, as a phantom of a metallic continent formed behind Archimonde, his expression froze...
