The Rise of the Fallen Prodigy

Chapter 12: Getting Rich

When he reached the attic, the door, which was more than a man high, creaked open slowly. A smell of medicine came, and Liam Smith only felt a burst of blood and gas rolling.

In the attic, opposite the door, there were two rows of tables and chairs, each of which visited the tea set. At that moment, an old man in white clothes was sitting in the chair, probably the master Ignatius in the mouth of the young girl.

He was holding a black wooden box in his hand and was closing it with the lid.

By the time he had covered the wooden box, the smell of medicine had suddenly faded, and soon it had completely disappeared.

Taking a look at the black wooden box in the old man's hand, Liam Smith knew there must be something good inside, and that this was where the fragrance of medicine came from.

The old man placed the box directly into his arms, glanced at Liam Smith and said, "Please sit down, Sir."

Liam Smith, of course, went straight to the first chair on Ignatius' left hand side.

Seeing Liam Smith seated, Ignatius smiled and asked, "What's your name?"

"Fane Davis." Alistair's voice sounded faintly.

This is Alistair's improvised name in case Liam Smith's identity is discovered.

"Fane Davis?" Ignatius murmured twice, but his mind was searching for information about "Fane Davis", but there was not a trace.

Ignatius smiled and said, "It was Mr. Davis. It was an auction house Ignatius."

When Ignatius spoke his name, he added a few points of emphasis, apparently to show Liam Smith that he is unique in the Silvermoon Valley.

Liam Smith looked a little uneasy. He had heard the name Ignatius mentioned many times by his family elders, but he did not expect to actually see it this time.

Alistair, however, was unconcerned about Ignatius. "They say you're the chief pharmacist at auction house?" he said.

Although Ignatius was somewhat annoyed by Alistair's somewhat disapproving look, he tried to keep a smile on his face and said, "It's all very kind."

"No more nonsense, the old man here has something urgent to sell, you show how much it is worth."

Ignatius's face turned sour, for no one in the Silvermoon Valley had ever dared to call himself an old husband before him, and the tone of the last sentence was not at all inviting, but rather commanding.

Ignatius could not help being angry, and his voice said coldly, "Then please your Excellency bring it out."

At Alistair's suggestion, Liam Smith pulls the toilet paper Soul Spirit potion nostrum out of his arms and hands it to Ignatius.

Ignatius, who had been quite indifferent, opened his eyes a little wider when he saw his nostrum, his face was full of surprise, he shook his head and sighed, and Liam Smith was antsy for a while.

Alistair wondered what Liam Smith was worried about and asked dryly, "What does Master Ignatius think?"

Ignatius, seemingly still immersed in nostrum, nods: "Good stuff, this is definitely good stuff." Said Ignatius also can not help but kiss the hand of the Soul Spirit potion nostrum a few mouth, the joy of the paper.

But Liam Smith has no idea whether a piece of toilet paper was believed by a chief auction house pharmacist who put it in his mouth and kissed it.

Liam Smith's heart is on edge, but Alistair manages to fool around with the Soul Spirit potion nostrum he tries to conjecture.

A few moments later, Ignatius reluctantly returned the Soul Spirit potion nostrum to Liam Smith, sheepishly saying, "That was a bit of a mistake that made Mr. Davis laugh."

After seeing the Soul Spirit potion nostrum, Ignatius simply changed the title to Mr. Davis, somewhat to curry favor.

Alistair was more blunt: "It's okay, my husband only cares how much it's worth, Soul crystal."

"Erm," he said. Facing Alistair's attitude, Ignatius is also speechless, forcing a smile and asking, "Your Excellency is really going to sell this Soul Spirit potion nostrum to our auction house?"

"What, you don't take them to the auction house? The old man went to another house." Alistair says, motioning Liam Smith to get up and leave.

Ignatius quickly stopped Liam Smith and said, "Mr. Davis was joking that we would buy such a good thing at the auction house. I just wanted to be sure."

Alistair's voice went cold and he said, "How can you be sure? Did your husband come to the auction house on purpose to cheat you?"

"It's all my fault. Please don't take it personally." Ignatius laughed. He then invited Liam Smith to his seat.

"How many pieces of Soul crystal is this worth, Master Ignatius?"

Ignatius, who was an auction house dealer by heart, said with a smile, "I wonder how much Mr. Davis wants?"

"That depends on how much you can offer at the auction house."

"Four hundred Soul crystal?" Ignatius asked tentatively.

According to the current market, the price of this Soul Spirit potion is estimated to be more than forty Soul crystals per serving, and the price of Soul Spirit potion nostrum is definitely more than nine hundred Soul crystals. If you buy it at the price of 400 Soul Crystal, you can earn hundreds of Soul Crystal from it, and you will add one to the credit of the auction house.

Alistair sneers and angrily says, "Four hundred Soul crystal? Master Ignatius thinks I'm three years old? It seems that the auction house is not sincere. The old man should change his home." Then you signal Liam Smith to get up and act like he's about to leave.

In fact, Liam Smith is not willing to go, four hundred Soul crystal for himself that is absolutely a lot of wealth, even if he was at his peak five years ago, only a dozen Soul crystal every month, which can fully match his previous two years of Cultivate resources.

If Liam Smith weren't speechless right now, he would have said yes.

When Ignatius saw Liam Smith leaving, he stopped him and said, "Wait a minute, Mr. Davis. If you don't like the price I'm offering you, name your price."

"Well, the old man thinks it's better not to."

"No, Mr. Davis, the price is negotiable. Just say what you have in mind, and we can negotiate."

Alistair paused and whispered, "Two thousand."

"Two thousand?" Ignatius could not help crying out. This is too harsh, directly more than double the market price.

Liam Smith was also surprised by Alistair's statement that Alistair wanted a higher price and knew it, but didn't know he had just raised the price by five times.

Ignatius shook his head decisively. "No, Mr. Davis is asking for a lot of money."

Alistair smiled and said, "You can pay my husband for it."

Ignatius looked white and thought: How am I supposed to pay back the money? Get up and leave if you don't like it. Can we talk?

Still, Ignatius smiles: "Mr. Davis's asking price is so high that no one would dare to buy it, and no more than five fingers in the Silvermoon Valley know the true value of the Soul Spirit potion nostrum, so I don't think anyone would."

"According to Master Ignatius, this Soul Spirit potion nostrum can only be sold at auction houses?"

"I have absolutely no intention of that, but the auction house is the best choice for Mr. Davis."

Alistair thought so, and he understood what Ignatius was saying, and even if someone else could see it, they wouldn't pay too much.

So he pretended to be helpless: "In this case, Master Ignatius will finally give a price, if it is suitable for the old husband to sell, if it is not suitable, only later to find buyers elsewhere."

Ignatius pondered for a moment, then gritted his teeth. "Twelve hundred Soul crystal. That's the highest price you can get at an auction house."

"Twelve hundred Soul crystal?" Alistair is a little dissatisfied: "It's not the same price as my husband wanted."

Seeing that Liam Smith was not satisfied, Ignatius seemed worried, saying, "Mr. Davis, this price is far above the market price, I don't think there will be another person in the entire Silvermoon Valley who will pay such a high price."

Pretending to think for a moment, Alistair's voice seems a little helpless: "Oh, forget it, who let the old husband rush to use the Soul crystal, although the price is a little low, but also have to make do with it."

Nearby Ignatius can't help but beat up "Liam Smith" and get a good deal.

"So Mr. Davis agrees?"

"There is no way to disagree, who let the old man now lack Soul crystal?"

"In that case, let's make a deal now." Ignatius seemed too eager to wait, and he took a small purple bag with the strange Rune word from his waist and put it on the table. "Here are a thousand Soul crystals," he said. "I will ask Mr. Davis to wait in the living room for the remaining two hundred, and I will bring them myself."

Liam Smith looked puzzled at the little bag in front of him. Soul crystal himself is aware that each Soul crystal has the size of an egg. How can such a small bag hold a thousand soul crystals?

But Alistair didn't say anything, so I guess you're right. Maybe there's something going on.

Picking up the red bag on the table, Liam Smith was surprised not to feel any weight, but dropped it into his arms, taking out the Soul Spirit potion nostrum and handing it to Ignatius.

Alistair did not forget to say, "Master Ignatius is cheerful. My husband loves to be cheerful."

Taking the Soul Spirit potion nostrum, Ignatius, as if afraid of being robbed, immediately put it into his arms, pressing his right hand on his chest, and smiling: "Mr. Davis is also frank, and I hope Mr. Davis has any business in the future to take care of this line."

"Definitely."

"..."

After some pleasantries, Liam Smith was led to wait in the living room of the auction house by the girl Ignatius had ordered to stand outside the door, and within moments Ignatius reappeared. Liam Smith was presented with a small bag containing two hundred Soul crystals and a piece of silver flake.

According to Ignatius, the silver flake is the auction house's VIP card, and this one is silver, one of only a few dozen people in the Silvermoon Valley who can have such a card, making it a high level VIP.

Liam Smith then walked out of the auction house, accompanied by Ignatius, and headed down the opposite street from the Smith family.

Arriving in a deserted corner, Liam Smith lifted his camouflage and touched two small bags and a VIP card in his arms. Liam Smith was at a loss for words to describe his current mood.

There's only one thing on Liam Smith's mind right now: Get rich!

Glancing around and seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Liam Smith breathed a sigh of relief and strode toward the Smith family.

Today's drama, waiting for Liam Smith to return to SmiIt's been a long day. By the time Liam Smith gets back to the Smith family, night is falling.

Meanwhile, in a quiet cabin in the auction house, two people are having a conversation.

"Lord, are you going to send someone after him?"

"No, you pharmacist have a very strange temper. If it is found out accidentally, it will increase his misunderstanding and it won't cost him much." The voice reveals a powerful pressure of the top, which makes people have to be awestruck.

"Yes, the Lord has a point."

"Well, you go down first."

"Yes, the subordinate retired."

Then the door opened and a figure disappeared into the darkness.
