Chapter 2871 The City of Forfex
Chapter 2871 The City of Forfex
Minos' group finally spotted the city indicated by Forfex, arriving in the area days after their strategic move in Hell.
If the Devils who had tried to reach them that day wanted to get to where they were, they would have to guess randomly between the planets that Minos and his women had recently passed. And even if they chose the right option, they would need to find the three of them in that world, which would also cost them some time.
Minos and his wives had not been reached in the time that had passed since that escape at the edge, reaching their destination on this world before they were reached. They wasted no time observing the view of the town of no more than 10,000 inhabitants, a humble location in this world, with below-average spiritual strength for the world itself. This place seemed quite simple, being small and without the presence of any force that they would deem worthy of attention.
Minos understood what this place was: a safe and unlikely refuge for Forfex's enemies to seek their relatives.
He walked ahead of his women, leading them into the small city made up of just two races. One of them was the same as Forfex, the dominant race on the planet, and the other was a race of felines, quite curious about most people new to the planet, but not so much to the group.
Minos and his wives were already used to the different races of this vast universe. Nothing compared to what they knew from Hell, so everything new they saw was more or less simple for them to get used to at a single glance.
The same wasn't true of the population. Almost all the people living their lives in this place noticed the group, some with looks of fear and others with hatred.
This world was not so often visited by foreigners, and there was a certain antipathy towards aliens on the part of the locals. Unlike Zocarro, where there were entire alien-related communities, there was nothing like this in the world of Forfex.
Minos and his people moved on, ignoring the peculiar looks from the locals, making their way to where they were in search of Forfex's relatives.
The map Forfex had given them was very accurate. Even inside the town, they could see that they would still have to walk down two entire streets to reach the place marked on the map.
Five minutes was enough for them to arrive in a humble area of Forfex's town, a place with narrow roads and several mud houses, small and rather crowded residences.
"This is the place," Minos said as he looked at the place that had nothing that could make it appear to contain anything of value, even to people capable of facing True Celestials!
The place was so ordinary that, from its appearance, Minos wouldn't judge one who thought they could never get anything of value there, even for low-level Sovereigns.
'The strongest here are newly promoted Sovereigns... Looks like this place isn't just a hideout for the people of Forfex.
"Who are you people? What do you want?" A young level 99 boy asked from in front of the house that the four aliens with strong spiritual fluctuations had stopped at.
The three women let Minos deal with the matter, remaining silent as they observed their surroundings. He cracked a smile on his face and said, "I have a map drawn by an old friend that brought me to this place." He was sincere, showing the item in his hands, a cloth map that had some kind of formation on it that gave it special abilities. "Do you know someone called Forfex?"
The young man's gaze changed instantly at the name Minos mentioned. "Forfex?" he asked in surprise, but also a little antipathy.
"Yes, do you know him?" Minos took a step forward before seeing a woman and an old man leave the door of that residence, both looking at him with ugly expressions on their faces similar to those of Forfex.
Minos wouldn't say that these were his friend's relatives just because of their appearances. In his opinion, more than half of the local population looked like Forfex. "Go away! We don't want any trouble!" Said the old man, gesturing for the group to move away. "We know nothing about him!"
Minos understood that there was some kind of problem or misunderstanding between these people and Forfex. Rushing to solve his problems, he pressed these people. "Forfex sent me here to fulfill an old agreement. I will take something that is now mine and in return I will leave the belongings of the space ring he left with me to his relatives. I just need someone who can prove they're related to him and I'll end what I have to settle here."
The old woman looked even worse than she had before Minos' words. "You can keep them to yourself. We want nothing to do with that someone you mentioned."
"That traitor..." said the level 99 young man quietly, almost imperceptibly, but not to Minos.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple." Minos smiled bitterly, realizing that he would have to force these people to accept Forfex's gift. "Can we talk in there? I want to understand what the problem is with you and him."
This time, Minos used some of his powers, forming a small domain around them, while only those inside could feel the power of his aura.
Those Grandmasters and low-level Sovereigns widened their eyes and felt weakness in their bodies as they perceived Minos' strong spiritual pressure, not having recognized his cultivation moments ago, of course.
Minos and his wives weren't trying to hide their powers. But the stronger one became, the more difficult it became to fathom their strength. Above a certain limit, one's soul energy would be so strong and concentrated that their strength would be confused with nature itself.
From the point of view of those individuals, Minos and his wives were almost invisible in terms of power, merely because their aura was filling the entire vicinity of this city!
"That... Supreme? No, that's not right! Celestial?!" The 102 level old man asked as he felt himself falling backwards.
Minos' wives looked at their husband, aware that, even at level 123, he had a natural aura as strong as that of ordinary level 125 Celestials!
Minos said, "Tell me a bit about your history with Forfex. Perhaps I can help solve this
problem."
