The rise of a legendary warlock

Chapter 6: chapter 5: story (part 5):the infinite power of fusion

After the three leaders, consisting of the dragons, the wolfskins, and the beastskin, began summoning some of their minions, it only took about 6 hours for all of them to enter the portal and find a place that was neither too far nor too close to the others.

Six hours might seem like a long time, but for beings like them, evolvers who had lived for more than 300 years, a little over 6 hours was not a significant duration.

Once they finished, the dragon king clenched his hands, and the golden ring, which acted as a portal measuring up to 3 meters wide and 4 feet tall, began to shimmer. It was surprising that such a massive dragon could pass through a portal of this size. From the perspective of someone in the middle, it looked as though a black hole was about to swallow them, if not for the golden edges distinguishing it from a real black hole.

Similarly, the king of the beastskin raised his hand lazily, and the portal disappeared, as if it was never there. The wolfskins and the vampires did not have to do much either; the portal closed automatically immediately after the last person walked in.

When the leaders had settled their members, they reached a mutual agreement to rest in their respective 'base' before the inscription master arrived. They all sat down in a lotus position, closed their eyes, and gradually entered a state of meditation, making it appear as if they were asleep in the outside world.

Their respective races could see their leaders' bodies emitting glows, with the dragon king emanating red, the beastkin king blue, the elf queen green, the wolfskin silver, and the vampires red. At times, it manifested as electric snakes softly dancing around them before disintegrating into small glowing dust, only to repeat the process.

The seven humans did not remain idle either. They sat down, closed their eyes, and focused half of their spiritual energy on absorbing the dense mana around them. The snakes dancing around them were different.

Each of the seven individuals representing the human race wore different-colored clothes, each representing one of the seven elements: red for fire, blue for water, brown for earth, purple for lightning, gray for wind, black for darkness, and white for light.

These seven elements were the strongest in the universe, and other elements derived from them in one way or another. Their clothes symbolized mastery over these elemental forces.

As their mana reserves filled up, they proceeded to fill their treasures, magical items capable of storing vast amounts of mana for later use.

Those watching them also began gathering energy, and some experienced breakthroughs due to the density of mana, which was 50 times greater than in the outside world.

Once the leaders and some others had almost filled their treasures, they sensed a disturbance in space not too far from their location. They abruptly opened their eyes and looked toward the south, near where the human army was positioned.

A bronze portal, easily mistaken for gold, had appeared without warning. The leaders stared at it with mixed emotions: nervousness, annoyance, curiosity, and more.

In the bronze portal hovered a man in silver plate armor, golden eyes, and a calm expression. As he approached, the beastskin king couldn't resist a jest about his tardiness.

"You sure took your sweet time," the beastskin king immediately spoke as he approached close enough.

Hearing this, the inscription master looked at him, and his expression calmed down slightly.

He then replied in a calm but clear voice, not too loud but not too low either, "I was preparing my things for the ritual."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot that 'preparing' your things could take up to 14 hours. I thought you stayed around fooling around with other inscriptions that you're so obsessed with,"

the beastskin king said with a funny smile on his face. The inscription master could feel the corners of his mouth quivering uncontrollably.

Even the other leaders raised their eyebrows in amusement.

'Who would have thought that he was actually the hours passed while he was meditating,' the elf queen thought inwardly.

"Ahem... You do know that the 'that technique' requires a lot, I mean, a LOT of preparation, right?" the inscription master tried to keep a straight face, but he felt like laughing. He forced himself not to burst into laughter.

The beastskin king replied with a victorious smile after receiving a mental message from the inscription master, which had lightened the mood considerably.

After this playful exchange, the leaders put on serious expressions and turned to their soldiers to give instructions that would be relayed to the citizens. The inscription master flew higher and addressed everyone.

"The infinite power of fusion, huh," he muttered to himself, sighed, and continued, "I just hope this is exactly what I saw in my vision... the creation of the great hero who will save all and become the most powerful in the whole multiverse. But that's only if this world doesn't tempt him with evil and blind him with power..."

With this, he closed his eyes to rest. He knew that his role was the most challenging, and he needed to be well-prepared.
