Chapter 6: Crest Ranking System

Crest Ranking System In this world, crests are classified by their rarity and potential, but as always, mastery and experience can allow even a common crest to surpass rarer ones. The ranks also determine how well the crest resonates with its bearer and how much power it can unleash.

1. Common CrestsDescription: The most widespread type of crest. These crests provide straightforward, practical abilities but lack the grandeur of rarer ones. They often depend heavily on the skill and creativity of the user to shine.

Examples:

Swordsman Crest: Enhances weapon skill and reflexes.Farmer's Crest: Improves soil fertility and crop yield.2. Uncommon

CrestsDescription: Crests that grant slightly more unique abilities. While not as rare, they offer users more options in combat or day-to-day life. These crests can be specialized, making them powerful in specific scenarios.

Examples:

Healer's Crest: Enhances healing magic and recovery speed.Windwalker Crest: Increases speed and agility, allowing short bursts of flight.3. Rare

Examples:

Flameheart Crest: Grants control over fire magic and resistance to heat.

Beastmaster Crest: Allows communication and partial control over beasts.

4. Epic CrestsDescription: These crests are usually passed down through powerful bloodlines. Their abilities are grand and awe-inspiring, making their bearers formidable forces on the battlefield.

Examples:

Draconic Crest: Grants partial dragon-like traits such as enhanced strength, fire breath, and scaled skin.Shadow Stalker Crest: Allows teleportation through shadows and invisibility.

6. Mythic CrestsDescription: Crests of mythical figures, often believed to be granted by gods or originating from ancient powers. They can change the fabric of reality itself. Mythic Crests are almost never seen in mortals and are usually wielded by heroes, monsters, or beings of legend.

Examples:

Crest of Eternity: Grants control over time, allowing the user to rewind, pause, or accelerate time briefly.Runic Crest of Destruction (Demon King Azareth): Black flames that can't be extinguished until the target is dead, with devastating destructive capabilities.

7. Divine CrestsDescription: These crests are the pinnacle of all power. They are so rare that their very existence is considered a myth. Wielders of Divine Crests are often regarded as gods or chosen ones. Their abilities defy all natural laws.

Examples:

Crest of the Creator: Allows the user to create and destroy worlds.Crest of Infinity: Grants immortality and infinite energy, with no limitations on magic or physical capabilities.

Notes on the SystemPotential Overlap: A Rare Crest doesn't guarantee superiority over a Common Crest. The bearer's skill, strategy, and resonance with their crest often dictate victory.Resonance & Mastery: Resonance is a measure of how well a user connects with their crest. Even a lower-ranked crest can achieve extraordinary feats if the user has high resonance and mastery.

Ritual of Awakening: At a certain age (typically 7), individuals awaken their crests. This ritual reveals both the crest's rank and its specific abilities. This ranking system highlights both the hierarchy of crests and the importance of skill, emphasizing the balance between innate talent and earned mastery.
