Chapter 717: All Arranged by Tang Rao
"Great Elder, I think it's not certain yet, and it might not necessarily be Mr. Jin He. There could be some other reason for the leakage of information." Lie Hu said softly.
"You still speak for him! Lie Hu, you don't understand human nature. I've long seen Jin He as a treacherous bastard!" Luo Mingyuan yelled angrily.
Lie Hu didn't speak again; he had achieved his purpose, and saying more would only arouse Luo Mingyuan's suspicions.
Meanwhile, Lie Hu felt even more deeply the terror of Tang Rao. These words, this process, were mostly instructed by Tang Rao through Shi Pang for him to carry out. Without any fancy rhetoric, it easily stirred Luo Mingyuan's suspicions towards Jin He.
In Shi Pang's courtyard, Jin He was somewhat puzzled, frowning slightly, unsure why Shi Pang had asked to see him.
"Uncle, come in," Shi Pang called out from the room.
Jin He didn't hesitate and pushed the door open and walked in.
"President, what do you need me for?" Jin He asked.
"Uncle, can I trust you?" Shi Pang got straight to the point without any prevarication.
Jin He was visibly startled.
Although Shi Pang called him uncle, they had no actual familial relationship; it was just because Shi Pang was younger.
"President, Jin He will always devote himself heart and soul to the Dark Moon Association," Jin He said earnestly.
Of course, whether he was sincere in his heart was another matter.
"Uncle, I know the Great Elder has always wanted me to step down from the position of president. I don't know why he's always had it in for me; I feel that I have given my all to the Dark Moon Association. Ever since I became the president of the Dark Moon Association, albeit there hasn't been an explosive development, we have been stable," Shi Pang stated.
"I'm not really sure about that, maybe the Great Elder has his own considerations. You shouldn't worry too much about it, just keep up the good work, and the Great Elder will recognize your merits," Jin He said smilingly.
Keep up the good work, Shi Pang gave Jin He hundreds of middle fingers in his mind, thinking, If I keep being such a naive idiot, it won't be long before I get completely screwed over by you guys. I, Shi Pang, may not have a brilliant mind, but I'm not a complete fool either.
"Uncle, honestly, Lie Hu told me that the Great Elder wants to target the Kao Shan Sect to snatch the Space Treasure," Shi Pang said shaking his head.
Hearing Shi Pang's words, Jin He's mind exploded. It really was Lie Hu!
But, why would Shi Pang tell him this?
Jin He didn't quite understand; it was very strange, abnormally strange. Logically, Shi Pang should know that he was loyal to the Great Elder. What the hell was this guy trying to do?
"President, what are you trying to say? Please speak plainly." Jin He took a deep breath and said.
"What do you think I want to say?" Shi Pang suddenly laughed.
"I'm not very sure, President, please just tell me," Jin He said, feeling a bit confused now as Shi Pang's behavior had suddenly become so strange, he found it hard to accept.
"Alright then, what I want to say is, I have some trash here, can you help me take it out and throw it away?" Shi Pang swiftly pulled a trash bag from under the table, holding it out in front of Jin He.
Jin He was truly stupefied, thinking, What the fuck? Throwing out trash? I'm here to throw out trash, what game are you playing, Shi Pang? You can't do this, you'll get beaten for it.
"Uncle, what's wrong with you? Hey, could you throw out the trash for me? I really don't want to go outside, I'm not feeling well today, my head hurts a bit. Please help me out, see, I'm even calling you uncle." Shi Pang pleaded with a sly grin plastered on his face.
Jin He's breathing grew rapid, fury almost erupting from his eyes.
"Uncle, don't just stand there, take this." Shi Pang forcefully stuffed the trash bag into Jin He's arms, disregarding Jin He's face which was about to explode.
"Alright, uncle, you can go now." Shi Pang waved his hand.
"Fine, I'm leaving." Jin He gritted his teeth.
"Well then, have a good one uncle, I won't see you out. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention, Lie Hu has already gone to the Great Elder, he saw you entering my courtyard with his own eyes. Look at you, still helping me throw out the trash, how courteous!" Shi Pang laughed, his smile widening.
"What! You've set me up!" Jin He glared fiercely, staring intensely at Shi Pang.
"Yes, uncle, you're just realizing it now? Didn't they all say you're exceptionally cunning and uniquely wise? From what I see, that's pretty much it." Shi Pang said sarcastically, his look disdainful.
Jin He's face turned ugly, his eyes flickering uncertainly.
"You are not that smart." Jin He suddenly said, these steps aren't actually difficult, but they are precisely on point. Whether timing or degree, it's admirable. This level is definitely not something Shi Pang could achieve.
"Damn, how stupid must I be, why does everyone damn say I can't handle this." Shi Pang was noticeably annoyed.
"It's the truth; you really can't handle these kinds of things," Jin He looked at Shi Pang, "It was Tang Rao, wasn't it?"
Shi Pang looked helpless, Jin He really is smart to have guessed it right away. Too bad you're dealing with Tang Rao, he already guessed you would figure it out.
Shi Pang didn't know what they based their guesses on, but damn, it's impressive!
Sadly, I don't have that kind of ability, that saying is so true: Intelligence is a great thing, but not everyone has it.
"It seems I guessed right, it's time for Tang Rao to show up now!" said Jin He.
"You got that wrong, uncle, he is indeed a distinguished character, how could he show up in person?" Shi Pang waved his hand.
"Isn't he afraid I might kill you?" Jin He narrowed his eyes.
"Luo Mingyuan isn't here, do you think you alone can really kill me, uncle? Tang Rao has considered everything, so stop struggling in vain. What do you say? Do you want to join me? That way, we can get along well, and I'll still ask you to take out the trash. If not, then I'm sorry but I must continue as per Tang Rao's plan; neither you nor the Great Elder have any way out," said Shi Pang with a sinister gleam in his eyes.
Jin He scowled; he was incredibly conflicted at this moment, he couldn't accept it if he agreed, but he didn't know what Luo Mingyuan would do if he didn't.
He knew Luo Mingyuan well; if Luo Mingyuan harbored suspicions, he would definitely go to any lengths.
With just a little effort, Tang Rao could make Luo Mingyuan utterly doubt him.
Luo Mingyuan isn't like Shi Pang, who might reason things out and inquire about your thoughts; he would just kill directly.
"Uncle, have you decided yet? Time is limited," Shi Pang saw Jin He hesitating and pressed further.
"Is that what Tang Rao said?" asked Jin He.
"Of course, I can only do as Tang Rao instructs, that's the only way to avoid mishaps," a strange glint flashed through Shi Pang's eyes.
