The Omega Nobody Noticed

Chapter 24: 24. I am going to find you, Wanessa

IN A MORNING

XAVIER'S POINT OF VIEW:

I stood in the echoing corridor, heart pounding as I realized in the morning that Wanessa was gone. The chill of dread crept up my spine. I had just finished speaking with Terrence and Michael about her unusual behavior when I noticed her empty chamber door. Panic welled up in me.

"She's not here." I said in a low, urgent tone, my voice barely audible as I turned to my brothers.

Michael's eyes widened and Terrence's jaw tightened in anger.

"Missing? What do you mean, missing?" Terrence demanded, stepping closer.

"I mean she's gone. I checked her room." I replied, trying to keep the tremor out of my voice. "She packed her things and left sometime ago. No one saw her depart, but her room is shut and empty."

"That omega never belonged to this place anyway, but she was… she was important to us. She was our mate at some point. How could she just vanish like that?"Michael asked.

"I don't know, but something's off. We need to find her."I said.

Just then, I saw Priestess Isabella emerging from the shadowed archway. Her expression was uncharacteristically troubled. I could almost read the remorse in her eyes as she approached.

"Prince Xavier." She began hesitantly. "I…I made a mistake."

"A mistake? Isabella, what did you do?"I asked.

Isabella lowered her gaze, her voice trembling. She was scared of me? Good.

"I pushed her too hard last night my words, my actions. I thought I could help, but instead I drove her away."Isabella said.

Terrence snorted.

"So, you admit you're partly responsible for her disappearance?"He asked.

Isabella's eyes flashed with regret.

"Yes. I never meant for her to feel so trapped. I was trying to assert my influence, to be… needed. But I see now that my behavior only fueled her fear. She's a plain omega who has every right to be free."Isabella tried to explain it.

"Free, or lost? . We cared for her. And now she's gone because you because all of you failed to understand her."Michael said.

I took a steadying breath, trying to channel my anger into determination.

"Enough. We must search every corner of this castle and its grounds. Wanessa is not just a piece in our game, even it is one, she's a person, and if she's left because of our mistakes, we need to make it right."I said.

King William, our father, who had been listening silently from behind a pillar, stepped forward.

"Xavier, Terrence, Michael, and Isabella, this matter is of utmost importance. We cannot allow a vulnerable soul to disappear into the night." His voice was stern, resolute. "Isabella, you must now assist in the search and help mend the breach you caused."

Isabella's eyes met mine with regret.

"I will do everything I can, Xavier. I'm so sorry."She said.

My heart ached at her words, but the fury burned hotter. "Sorry won't bring her back. We must find her, and find it now."I said.

As Every moment Wanessa was missing felt like a betrayal of everything I believed in. The corridors were eerily silent. We'd searched every room, every garden, yet Wanessa was nowhere to be found. My brothers, Michael and Terrence, wore grim expressions as they spoke in hushed, frustrated tones. Priestess Isabella's eyes shimmered with distress, her voice tight with worry.

"She's vanished into thin air." Michael grumbled. "No one's seen a trace of her!"

Isabella shook her head, her tone edged with anger.

"I know what I did I pushed her too far. But still, I never thought she'd just disappear like this."She said.

"You never understood, Isabella. Wanessa knew exactly what you were doing. She saw your presence, your interference… yet she said nothing."I said.

My words cut through the murmurs, drawing a sharp look from Isabella.

"How dare you-" SHe began, but I held up a hand to silence her.

Before anyone could press further, a soft, measured voice echoed from the end of the hall. Elder Magnus emerged from the shadows, his expression grave.

"I have heard a rumor." He announced, his voice carrying over the silence. "They say a snow white wolf was seen near the northern woods tonight."

I paused, heart thudding. The image of a luminous, ghostly wolf in the moonlit forest sent a shiver through me.

"A snow white wolf?" I repeated, my voice low.

Magnus nodded slowly.

"Yes. Some believe that such a wolf appears only when a soul is in great frenzy, a sign of a soul not fully at home in this world."He said. "Priestess Isabella, there is something you must understand about Wanessa. You see, she is not merely an omega drifting through our lives. She is the destined mate, not just for one, but for all three of our princes Xavier, Michael, and Terrence."Elder explained.

Finally, someone was affirming what I had known all along.

"Her bond with our family is sacred and irreplaceable. Wanessa is the cornerstone of our future. She brings balance and strength to us all. Her very essence is intertwined with the fate of this realm."Elder said.

Isabella's eyes widened slightly. For a moment, I saw a flicker of uncertainty cross her usually composed face. "I… I had not understood." She admitted softly, her voice faltering. "I believed I could... assume control, perhaps even win favor by being indispensable. But it appears I was mistaken."She said.

"Yes, Isabella. You always thought you could take center stage by appearing here, but Wanessa's presence her very soul, binds us all together. She is irreplaceable."Michael said.

"We may have our differences, but Wanessa is the heart of this family. Without her, everything falls apart."Terrence added.

I couldn't help but feel a swell of emotion as I listened. The elder's words cut through all the pretenses. My own voice, usually steady, broke with quiet conviction. "Isabella, understand this." I said firmly. "Wanessa is our mate, our anchor. And I will not let anyone, no matter how high your station diminish her worth or take what belongs to us."I said.

Isabella bowed her head slightly, a long moment of silence passing before she spoke in a tone that was now respectful and subdued.

"I am sorry for overstepping my bounds. I understand that my role is not to replace or overshadow her, but to serve, as needed, in support of the bond you all share."She said.

Elder Magnus nodded approvingly.

"Let this be a lesson to all. The ties that bind are not so easily broken. Wanessa is the true heart of this family, and we must honor her, protect her, and never forget her worth."He said.

I glanced around at Michael and Terrence, who nodded in silent agreement, their eyes hard with determination. In that moment, despite the swirling chaos of our emotions, one truth remained clear Wanessa belonged with us, and nothing and no one would ever change that.
