Dark corners 2

As the sun rose and sky became blue he had walked the distance to his new ship that he had purchased from a retired trader, a very drunk and loud Man who had given up on traveling the Grandline after a particular encounter with a Devil fruit user who could “Twist things by twitching his fingers”, some type of paramecia no doubt.
The old fart told him how the pirate had twisted his crew to the point they were nothing more than a fleshy string, he had cowed when the pirate had twisted one of his Foot-Fingers agonizingly slow with a very malicious grin on his face that promised more of such torture if he didn't give the treasure he had on his ship to the pirates.
“Boss, how the hell did you get your hands on one of these? Do you have any idea how rare they are even in the Grandline?” The former Barkeeper, Julius, asked curiously.
“Rarer than devil fruits that's for sure.” I replied Pointedly.
“Hahahaha c'mon boss it's not like you asked me if I had One.” Julius laughed awkwardly, the fool had given him the mother of all jumpscares when he dropped from the sky all of a sudden while he was focused on planning the journey.
“I had a feeling you were hiding something from me but I didn't expect it to be a devil fruit Julius, I am curious to know if you are aware of how special that power of yours is.” my statement had Julius raise an eyebrow questiongly.
“How so Boss? I can make paper and manipulate it but that is.” He shrugged, the fool had no idea how useful he was about to become.
“Julius Julius…my dear second-in command you have no idea how malleable devil fruit powers are, especially the special Paramecias that branch into the logia territory.” I began explaining once the ship had left the port.”I want you to imagine what I am about to explain and implement it directly.”
Seeing how I had grabbed his interest I sorted the first idea In my mind into an understandable perspective for those who wouldn't get the references I was about to speak.
“You are a Paperman, each of those little pieces of paper you make hold a silver of ‘You’ into them that allows you to manipulate them however you see fit…as such you can order them to basically do anything you desire. I want you to make a large paper and fold it into a paper airplane, here let me show you a perfect design.” He grabbed the newspaper he had read and folded it into a distinct design he remembered from his time in highschool.
The paper user followed his instructions and folded a large paper the size of barrel into an paper airplane, it looked nothing special at first glance but he knew better.
“Now focus your mind and command it to fly.” he got an eyebrow raised at his words but no rebuke followed.
Julius shifted his gaze away from him and focused on his “creation”, taking a few deep breaths he closed his eyes and focused on his ability. at first he felt nothing, the tingling sensation he was used to feel when using his power felt mute, almost dead to his senses but as seconds ticked away he felt a connection be established with the paper airplane which caused his senses to expand to a terrifying degree that caused him to shudder at the tingling sensation he felt at the back of his skull.
“Fly” he whispered.
Immediately after he spoke an invisible power surrounded his creation, he knew where it came from, himself, he felt the drain on his body immediately once the airplane blasted to the air at speed he never imagined would be possible for his paper-creations to achieve.
“Quite the spectacle eh Julius?” His boss said smirking at him knowingly.
“I can still control it even at this distance but there is a visible drain on my stamina whenever I want to expand my connection more but it is bearable I think. I thought controlling it would be difficult but it's easier than I thought.” He rolled his eyes at the smug bastard.
“Hmm strange, from my knowledge it should be like a new limb suddenly becoming available, untrained and uncomfortable at first…perhaps your fruit overlaps in more ways in a logia direction then I thought if it is that easy to manage.” Quite strange indeed, most paramecias are difficult to evolve in different directions that overlaps with the other types of abilities…
Marius stopped that train of thought for a moment and backtracked to his knowledge that he had from his previous world and slapped himself mentally for being so dense as to not grasp the connection paper had with wood, a bloody naturally occurring element that is Clearly a Logia power even in this World which reside in the hands of Greenbull.
“Julius..” he called his first mate.”I think we may be wrong with your devil fruit’s category or it may be a case where your fruit ability has never been pushed far enough to show its actual potential to the fullest.”
“What do you mean we may be wrong about the category of my devil fruit? It is a paramecia.” seeing the ominous look his boss had his face sent a chill down his spine for some reason.
“There are cases you see…” he started saying before stopping, a calculating gleam appearing in his eye that seemed to measure what he was about to reveal to him.” Before I continue, is our Tagalong still unconscious?”
Looking at the focused gaze of his boss made him wonder what he was hiding that was so important as to check on the cabin boy/pack mule they had taken along.
He focused on the marked paper he had placed on the body of their tagalong and let his ability do the rest.
A heartbeat.
Two heartbeats and a loud snore that made him flinch momentarily.
His subconsciousness returned back to his body with the knowledge when he opened his eyes.
“The dumbass is dead to the world boss, he is snoring like a damn pig.” He replied.
“Good then, I want you to swear something to me Julius.” Boss continued.
“Swear what?” He asked curiously.
“A vow of secrecy, what I am about to tell you, you must take it to the grave. I don't want this information to leave your mouth understood.” Marius ordered, his tone turning harsh at the later words.
“What can be so important as to require me to take a vow, captain.” he asked seriously, his interest piqued.
“I will not reveal anything until you take a vow Julius, swear it and I will speak then.” He snapped, a strange light lit behind those blue eyes that made him feel like a caged animal for a moment.
“Okay okay i will take the vow, just take it easy and stop doing whatever the hell you are doing that is making me feel like I am standing in front of a predator damn it. Geez boss you and your mysteries.” He replied calmly trying to hide his nervousness, he was really being affected by whatever the hell his captain was doing.”I swear on my life I won't reveal what you are going to share with me and I shall take whatever knowledge you give me to the grave this swear.”
“Good good, that's what I wanted to hear…loyalty is something I value more than morality, after all knowing what I know can put your life at risk.” Marius smiled, a relieved expression appearing on his face for a moment before it shifted back to a serious one.”Let me tell you about the special logias, special paramecias and the zoan God-Fruits, Big G not Small g.”
Seeing the confused expression on his minion's face made him smile manically, this knowledge he had gathered was useless back into his world since there millions of fans just like him who knew it(or so he hoped but he knew there are many retards who need spelled to their faces.)
“Let us start from the basics, the triangle of abilities the devil fruits grant: Paremacias the most prevalent fruits and so-called weakest abilities to have which we will expand for a moment, zoans the ability to transform into another creature be it a hybrid or full form but there is more to it which we will return and the Logias, the rarest fruit by large and one of the most dangerous to have if you have questionable ambitions and ideas. Let us expand on the theories and facts behind these three types and where your fruit lies.”
“The paremcias are what I would call: hidden gems, there is a limiter placed on them which can be removed once you awaken their potential. For example the Fruit of Whitebeard, the Emperor of the sea and captain of the Whitebeard pirates is a Paramecia user which controls tremors, their location, power and destructive factor. The man is actually known as the Strongest Human in the World by the merit of his skill, wit and cunning. He is one of the few people who could destroy the world if he wanted.”
“tremor tremor fruit…an incomprehensible power to have.”
“Indeed but there is more to it than meets the eye, you see tremors are a naturally occurring disasters that happen from the tectonic plates movement which releases a large amount of energy known as seismic waves–”he stopped for a moment when saw the lost expression on his minion's face.”basically when a volcano explodes suddenly the resulting release of power will shake everything hard and destroy shit.”
I hope that gives him an idea because the rest will be too difficult to explain without understanding such a basic concept as focused vibration taken to a hundred thousand level.
“Ohh..I understand, continue.” He nodded dumbly.
“Whitebeard’s power is that but controlled to micro level, he can inflict to an area and cause a chain-reaction, he can flip an island's underside and cause it to submerge into the sea or he can control a continental plate to push the island up and lower the sea level. Which grants him the power to reshape the world map at will.” Marius explained animatedly before remembering his original goal.” Err-so his power is a paramecia but in actuality it should be logia, as logias as categorized as “naturally occurring elements” but since we haven't seen Whitebeard become a sentient Quake yet we can put it in the paramecia category for now, a very dangerous and destructive one. Your power is the same as his, yours is linked with the wood wood fruit since paper is made from trees and you can theoretically turn yourself into a man made of paper. This is where shit gets weird.”
He added the last part as if hinting what was to come.
“I know this might sound like a conspiracy theory but it is not, I will prove it to you in a moment.” Marius grinned as he brought out a pencil and beckoned him to get closer.” You will generate a piece of paper slowly but do not let it leave your body fully, I want you to stop halfway through.”
He blinked at that and tried to do what his captain was asking, he slowed down the process of creating a piece of paper which looked like it was leaving from the skin of his hand that became a paper momentarily, he stopped right there and looked at his captain to continue.
“Your flesh, doesn't it look like it is made of paper right now?” marius asked as he tapped the area where paper and flesh melded seemingly together.” Here let me write something and I want you to feel the intent.”
THE WORLD GOVERNMENT IS RULED BY ONE MAN!
HIS NAME IS IMU.
He jumped away suddenly from the area where he stood and let go of the piece of paper that fell slowly to the ground and combusted into a dark fire that didn't leave any dust behind.
He felt the phantom pain tingling on his arm that was caused by that fire, that accursed black-flame that seeked to extinguish his soul from this plane of existence.
“What the shit?!” His captain exclaimed surprisedly as he too had jumped away and let go of his pencil that had momentarily been touched by the flame.
“What the hell was that captain?! It nearly killed me if I hadn't pushed the paper out of my body.” He demanded.
“An ability that's for sure but where did it come from? Tell me what you felt when I wrote those words on your paper.” the captain replied.
“I felt an ominous presence glare at me, it was a horrendous, disgusting and slippery feeling all bundled together. There was a pair of red eyes that tried to penetrate into my mind.”His mind saw a giant scorpion standing on a platform made of corpses and briefly turned at his direction and hiss.
“Tell me, did you see the shadowy scorpion?” His captain asked knowingly.
“How did you know?!” Julius asked.
“He-who-shall-not-be-named has a possible mythical-zoan or a God fruit. It must be some obscure creature or a dark deity from the past.”He pondered, completely ignoring the question Julius asked.”But I have a feeling it's gonna be something else…in the meantime.”
He focused his attention on the ship they were sailing, a thoughtful look on his face.
“Have you heard the Term ‘Haki’ before Julius?” The dangerous gleam once more appeared on his eyes as he stared down his Minion.
