Sitting on a chair I stared out of the window thinking hard about the things happening with me. "The moon looks so peaceful" I said to myself letting out a sigh tired of the things happening with me. My eyes slowly softened as my heart ached "Only if mom was here" I whispered to myself remembering how she would let me sleep on her lap on that small bed in balcony. Cold bridge of wind blew her hairs, she was so beautiful. Without me noticing a tear slide out of my eyes making it's way through the Cheeks. I looked down fidgeting my fingers with uncontrollable sobs. "I miss you Maa." I said as cold bridge of wind hit my skin. Staring back at the moon I let out a painful sigh and closed the curtains walking towards my bed. "Myra?" I heard someone say my name with a knock on the door. "It's open" I said trying my best to sound normal, There he was... Kabir. He walked towards me and sat on my bed near me. "What's wrong? Why are your cheeks stained with tears?" He said curiously. I shook my head and said "nothing I just miss my mom" I could see him feeling bad for me. He's eyes said it out loud as he started to Rub my back I rest my head on his shoulder. "It's been a while since I rest my head on your shoulder like this right?" I said asking him "While? You did this when we were 7 Myra, you nearly forgot your bestfriend" He Said messing my hairs up. "Hey don't do that" I said fixing it back as we both chuckled.
He Cleared his throat and said "so... Did you get any news about uncle?" That line left me speechless as I sit back properly and stared at my lap slowly shaking my head as a No.
"He might be happy with his new family." I said smiling painfully at him. He's expression grew aggressive as he said "That's not something normal Myra! You're his child. He's not supposed to leave you like that. Afterall after Aunties death he's the only family left to you, It's been 4 years since he left you, you made all his dream come true for the sake of his happiness, and when he got it, he left? What kind of a father would do that to his own child, a child who wrote his future which he could never do by himself? "
"It's okay Kabir. It isn't like I am lonely or... In pain? I've you all and I have a good job to do. I've a shelter and people around to support me... That's enough for me" I said in a low assuring voice smiling, He looked at me softly with a bit of pity in his eyes.
"How strong you're Myra. Can't believe the girl who cried over a little glare by anyone right now would be so independent enough to say this out confident " He giggled goofily making me Embarassed. I smacked his back hard enough for him to let out a painfull grown. "You little-" I let out a shameless smile and suddenly kabir attacked me by messing my hairs real bad "don't do that" I kept repeating this with laughs. I pushed him back and now we both were on the ground messing with each other.
"MYRA, KABIR COME DOWN DINNER IS READY" we heard a scream from downstairs and looked at each other before screaming in sync "COMING" and Walked towards the dining room. We saw everyone was there ready to dig in, sitting on the chairs beside eachother everyone stared at us controlling their laughs. Clearing her throat Anaya said
"What the heck happened to your hairs?"
Looking at each other we Shamelessly smiled at them and said "just a playful fight" together. They laughed at our silly faces and we started having our dinner.
"So what are we doing tomorrow?" Asks Haniya
"Let's go to the amusement park?" Says Anaya
"What are you, a kid?"
"Shut up kabir"
"Bla bla"
"Let's go for tracking?" Says Rehan
"Omg yes" "That's so exciting" "YAY" says the other three.
I looked at them with a judgemental look as Aunty let out a chuckle and said
"Than you should sleep early kids. And remember to be careful"
We nodded and had a good talk before going to our own rooms.
I sat by the bed and threw myself down. Laying on the bed I stared at the blank ceiling slowly being covered by the slumber I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
8:55 am
(Authors pov)
"Haniya?"
"Yes mumma?"
"Take this mufflers with you it might be cold there"
Haniya smiled at her mom and took it, stuffing those inside her bag
Taking a deep breath Anaya opened her arms wide saying "ahh the smell of nature" kabir laughed and flicked her forehead
"Shut up dramatic ass" He said
"Haaaaaww that's so rude" Rehan said with a fake shocked face making Anaya's blood boil she Smacked Kabir's butt with the stick on her hand. "Ouch" kabir hissed and Rubbed his butt "Pain in ass moment" Myra says before bursting out into laughter making the others laugh aswell.
"okay okay let's go we still need to reach the top" Haniya says controlling her laughter walking forward and her minions following her. After 10 minutes everyone was already tired except for Rehan, with a questionable face Kabir asked him trying to catch his breath "why are you not tired yet" Rehan looked at him and said "I used to go for tracking whenever I was free back then"
