The Moon Thief

Chapter 32: Luck

Heinald continued to fall quite rapidly, with only a small distance from the ground. However, he noticed that a strong wind was blowing towards him, which grew stronger and slowed his fall at first, then stopped it altogether. It was about ten meters from the ground when the wind around him subsided.

"Is he okay?" Heinald fell to the ground from a height of ten meters when the wind around him cleared, but this height was not even a height to hurt him. When he hit the ground, he heard a female voice coming from his left side.

"Are you okay?" Two rather young-looking men and women entered Heinald's vision, one of them came right next to him.

It didn't take long for them to realize that Heinald could not move any part of him except his eyelids.

"What's wrong?"

"He was poisoned, look at his veins!"

Heinald's veins became distinct and darkened by the poison, it was the poison itself that darkened his veins.

"This antidote might be good for him!" One of the young women took a small bottle from her backpack and poured the liquid into Heinald's mouth.

After the liquid passed through Heinald's throat, he began to feel his body more and more with each passing minute. After an hour, he was able to move almost his entire body.He still had a stiffness while moving some of his limbs, but most of the poison in his body was already neutralized.

"Thank you for saving my life." Heinald strained his facial muscles and was able to produce a slight smile. Although the vast majority of this world was made up of ruthless and inconsiderate people, there were also some good people.

He was lucky to meet these people,if not...

"No problem! Let us introduce ourselves to you. I am Dane Shidu." The person who seems to be the oldest of them introduced himself. The energy waves emanating from him indicated that he was a Level 1 Ainsar.

"I'm Ruske Shidu." He slightly nodded and introduced himself. He was also a Level 1 Ainsar.

"I'm Morena Shidu." The woman who gave the antidote to Heinald introduced herself. This woman with blond hair and green eyes was one of the most beautiful women Heinald had ever seen. Like the others, she was Level 1 Ainsar.

"I'm Mady Shidu." Most recently, the youngest of them introduced himself.

Heinald had noticed from this girl's aura that she had just made a breakthrough to Level 1 Ainsar.

Heinald initially thought these people were friends, but they were from the same family.

"I'm Heinald. Nice to meet you." Heinald gave a slight nod.

"What exactly happened that you fell paralyzed from above?" Dane asked with a curious expression.

"I was thrown by my enemy." Heinald exhaled loudly.

"Did your enemy paralyze you and kick you down? Why didn't he kill you right away?" Mady's eyebrows were slightly frowned.

"Mady, don't be disrespectful!" Ruske glared at his sister.

"Its okay!" Heinald laughed. "He actually trapped me, at first his goal was to force me to speak, but things didn't work the way he wanted and he wanted to get rid of me right away by throwing me off the cliff.

"At least you're still on the line!" Morena smiled slightly.

"Thanks to you." Heinald looked at her and smiled slightly.

"I don't want to demoralize, but there is no guarantee that we will survive in this region." Dane had a solemn expression.

"Do you know this place?" Heinald asked.

"This region is known as the Greenhell Cavity. It is a deserted area with a lot of dangerous beasts." Dane answered.

"So why are you here?" Heinald asked, but later realized that he was asking a question he shouldn't have, because the expressions of everyone around him darkened.

"We're exiled..." Ruske said in a low voice.

"What!? By whom?" Heinald was surprised.

"By our father." Dane sighed.

"Our family is one of the strongest in the Darkwood Kingdom. My uncle and father are a Level 3 Ainsar. We are all expected to be strong due to the reputation of our family, but we were excluded because we didn't get strong enough." Morena briefly summed up the situation.

"Well, that's no logical reason for an exile..." Heinald didn't know what to say.

"It's not our fault that we don't grow improve enough!" Dane spoke sharply.

"My father gave our stepbrothers and us equal resources to grow. But those greedy dogs didn't stop there and stole our resources. Thus, they grew faster than us and got stronger. When we went to complain to our father, he stated that it was our fault that we could not protect our resources. But it wasn't our fault because they caught us off guard, we weren't ready. Unfortunately my father did not understand this and insulted us as useless and rubbish." Mady looked like she was going to cry.

"He exiled us, saying that weak people cannot live in the family. Only if we can grow stronger by our own means we will be able to return to the family." Ruske shook his head.

"Although this place is full of dangers, it also has many opportunities. If we are lucky, maybe we can find great opportunities and get stronger in this place of exile." Dane wanted to look on the bright side.

"What opportunities?" Heinald asked.

"According to the legend, Greenhell Cavity was actually a city in the time of Ancient Ainsar. Few people know this place because no one would mind going this deep into an abyss." Dane smiled slightly.

"Are you serious?" Heinald cried in surprise.

Dane nodded.

"So which way did you come here? We are now in the region at the bottom of a cliff, and the cliff we are talking about is a very high cliff." Heinald scratched his chin.

"We reached here through the Riisha Tunnel." Morena answered.

"Riisha Tunnel?" Heinald had never heard of this tunnel.

"The exit of the tunnel is a few days away from here." Morena nodded.

"Where is the entrance to the tunnel?" Heinald asked.

"In the southern part of the Dark Forest." Morena answered.

"What? The Dark Forest?" Heinald was horrified. If asked the most dangerous place on the continent, everyone would say the Dark Forest without thinking. The Dark Forest was a huge forest that covered almost half of the continent, and Magical Beasts were the most common there.

In the middle of the forest lived the Elemental Kings, the most powerful Magical Beasts, meeting them meant certain death.

"Calm down, the southern part of the Dark Forest is the least dangerous place" Dane made a small hand gesture,  "The real danger is in the deepers."

Heinald fell silent and began to think. At least he had learned a way out of the cliff. Since his horse was not with him, his journey would take a long time. On the other hand, he wanted to stay with these people. First, he owed their lives to them and paid off by helping them in this dangerous place. They also had the chance to come across ancient Ainsar ruins. If they discovered a tomb-like place, they could obtain very important remains.

"Would it be a problem for me to join you on your adventure?" Heinald asked.

"We'd be very happy. What else could we want from an ally in such a dangerous place?" Dane smiled. Others joined him, after all, being crowded in a place like this could really save lives.

"

Thank you!" Heinals smiled and nodded.

"Let's tell you about our journey plan. We came from the east side and we are moving towards the west side. We did not encounter any Magical Beasts on the East side, which means we should be prepared in the future because we will definitely encounter Magical Beasts." Dane stood out and explained.

Heinald nodded.

"Alright! Let's keep moving forward." Dane exhaled and started walking, others quickly joined him and started talking between eachother.

Heinald loved these people, all they wanted was to grow stronger and prove themselves they are not useless. As he understood, these people did not want to prove themselves to their fathers, but to themselves.

"This place really makes people uneasy. We haven't heard anything but the sound of the wind blowing gently for hours. Where there is silence, there is always a problem." Dane looked around and shook his head.

Their location was a rather strange place geographically, the ground was gray and dry, with no insects or plants around. Looking ahead, all they saw was a high hill. The weather was dry and hot.

"It's also interesting that we haven't met a Magical Beast yet." Mady said.

"Would you like us to run into a Magical Beast?" Morena asked.

"If we kill a Magical Beast whose limbs are worthy, we can sell them in the future to get a large amount of Arkana Stones." Mady shrugged.

"How will we carry so many things even if we kill them?" Morena asked.

"My robe is a dimensional type treasure. We can store comfortably." Heinald did not hesitate to tell these people that his robe was a dimensional treasure.

"Oh? Really?" Dane's eyebrows rose.

"Dimensional type treasures are really valuable things. Where did you get it?" Ruske asked.

"It inherited me from my grandfather." Heinald answered.
