Chapter 21: Feeding
I don't know how much time had passed, but Ji En came out, wearing only a pair of briefs. He had a great figure. Although his skin was fair, it was healthy.
"Have you stared enough?" Ji En said to Ji Aier.
Ji Aier ignored him and just went to check if the bandage on his left arm had gotten wet. Fortunately, Ji En still knew how to take care of himself. Although it was a bit damp, it didn't seem serious. So the worried feeling in Ji Aier's heart subsided.
She took out a loose set of pajamas for him to put on to prevent him from catching a cold.
"What would you like to eat? I'll go and cook it," Ji Aier asked Ji En.
"Sichuan cuisine," Ji En said.
"The doctor said you can't eat anything too spicy because of your injury. I'll cook you a bowl of noodles," Ji Aier said to Ji En. His hand had to get better quickly. Otherwise, if something went wrong, Ji Aier felt that even if she died a hundred times, it wouldn't be enough to make up for it.
"Whatever you want," Ji En turned on the LCD TV and started watching an animated cartoon. This was his habit, watching cartoons after taking a bath. Sometimes Ji Aier thought he was quite childish for liking to watch cartoons.
Ji Aier went to the kitchen to prepare Ji En's dinner.
When she brought it upstairs, he was still watching the same animated cartoon.
"The noodles are ready. Eat them while they're hot," Ji Aier said to Ji En.
"Feed me!" Ji En said, still keeping his eyes on the TV screen.
Ji Aier was already used to Ji En's such impolite requests. So she didn't say anything and just scooped a bowl of noodles. She picked up a mouthful of noodles, blew on them to make sure they weren't too hot, and then brought them to Ji En's mouth.
Ji En glanced at Ji Aier, opened his mouth, and ate the noodles. A drop of soup landed on the corner of Ji En's mouth, and she took a tissue to wipe it off. Ji Aier felt that at this moment, she was like someone feeding a three - year - old child.
But Ji En seemed to be enjoying it, and there was no awkward expression on his face.
"You must be hungry too. Let me feed you!" Ji En actually snatched the chopsticks from Ji Aier's hand and said to her. What on earth was he up to?
He picked up a mouthful of noodles and said to Ji Aier, "Be good! Open your mouth!" Ji Aier almost fainted.
"Stop playing around. Finish eating quickly so that I can clean up," Ji Aier tried to take the chopsticks back from Ji En but failed.
"Be good! Open your mouth!" Ji En insisted. She had no choice but to open her mouth and eat that mouthful of noodles.
After that, there was a chaotic scene. Ji En insisted on using his uninjured right hand to feed Ji Aier noodles until she really couldn't eat anymore.
"I'm so full. I can't eat anymore!" Ji Aier said vaguely with her mouth full of noodles. She really wanted to raise her hands in surrender.
"Alright, I'll eat the rest," Ji En said and then picked up the noodles and put them into his own mouth.
In fact, Ji En had asked her to feed him just to play tricks on Ji Aier, but in the end, it turned out that he was feeding her. It was really strange that a healthy and agile person like Ji Aier was being fed by someone whose left hand couldn't move freely.
While Ji En was eating by himself, she sat beside him and watched a scene from the latest animated movie "Up." In the scene, colorful balloons were pulling an entire house, along with its foundation, into the air. The view of the flying house overlooking the ground was very beautiful.
Watching some animated cartoons occasionally wasn't bad. At least it could make one's mood relaxed and cheerful, Ji Aier thought.
