THE LOVE I WISHED FOR

We came back to the hotel.

I plopped on my bed because i was so tired.

Edison was out ordering food for us.

I enjoyed a lot today. But idk why Edison was a little Different today not in a bad way but a little different I can't put my finger at it.

Then suddenly my phone rang showing jinie on the phone screen.

I smiled and picked up the call.

"hii Anna."

"hii Jinie"

"how is it going, did something happen between you..did you you that hmm?"

"stop..what are you saying?"

"okay seriously tell me did something happen?"

"what's going to happen?"

" you know anything in particular any progress."

"we went to a amusement park and then we went to see eiffel tower then we roamed around a little and then came back to the hotel."

"and that's it."

" yes that's it."

"did he make any move on you?"

" no why would he? Edison is not like that. We are just trying to be friends right now."

" how long will you guys be just friends. You are already married. Try to get closer to him."

" Jinie look i dont want to fall for anyone so easily and i want to know him i am afraid that he will break my heart and i don't want it again it was unbearable. I don't want to go through that again."

" I can understand but i know Edison is a good person."

"yah he is infact he is such a gentleman but i want to know him more. There is lot of things I don't know about him. I want to know them first. I need time before letting my feelings get involved. This isn't easy for me. I will get to know him a little by little."

" hmm you can take you time. There's nothing to rush. Tell me if anything happens."

" ok mam."

"okay then bye chris is waiting for me. We are going out for dinner."

" oh good enjoy your time with him. Bye."

" bye take care."

I hung up the call and sighed. I hope she always be this happy with chris.

Edison entered inside the room and said.

" I ordered the food you go and wash up till then food will be served."

I nodded and went to washroom then ai clean up and came back to see Edison sitting on table.

Food was served on table.

"come let's eat."

I went to him and sat down on the chair beside him. And he passed me the plate.

" thankyou."

Then we ate our food in silence until we heard a knock at the door.

Edison got up and went to open the door.

Then he came with Jade with him.

" ohh jade when you came back?"

" I just came back."

" come and eat with us."

"no its fine i just had my dinner and I was here ask Edison something about work. You eat."

"Ohh you both can talk then."

" I am sorry but I didn't want to disturb you guys with something related related work but I need to comfirm something."

" It's okay Jade. It's also important."

He smiled and I smiled back.

Then both of them talked for sometime about work. I wasn't interested so I silently ate my food.

Edison food was getting cold. He doesn't like eating cold food.

" ok then I will be leaving. Sorry once again Anna and Edison."

" it's okay Jade."

" well how was your meeting earlier?"

" it was perfect. We got the deal and everything else went well."

" good then."

" what you guys did today?"

" we went to a amusement park and to see eiffeel tower. It was so amazing you should have came with us. It was so beautiful."

" wish I could be there with you guys."

" I wish too."

" aren't you tired Jade go and take some rest. You must be tired from the meeting."

Edison said interrupting our conversation.

He sounded like he wanted Jade to leave fast. Jade understood his intentions and laughed awkwardly.

"y-eah i should leave then. Good night Anna and Edison."

" Good night Jade."

Then he left the room quietly.

I looked at Edison no almost glared at him.

He ignored my glare and sat down on the chair beside me and start eating his food again.

I finished my food and got up.

" I will be going to bed then. You eat up and rest too. Good night."

" Good night."

He said and I departed to bed and lay down on one side.

I was too tired that i didn't realise when i drifted to the dreamland.

Anna fall asleep she is a fast sleeper.

I went to her bed side and knelt down in front of her staring at her peacefully sleeping figure.

She look so cute and beautiful while sleeping.

I can't stop myself from staring at her.

" I don't know what I feel about you but no matter what happens I want to protect you and want you beside me. Is this love? All I know is I feel good when you are around me and hurt when you are not. Earlier when you disappeared for a minute I felt my heart drop and I couldn't think straight. I was scared to lose you."

I took a deep sigh and stroke her hair lightly careful not to wake her.

" All the things I am experiencing. Chris told me the same things. First I was afraid to admit it but now I accept it. Yes I am in love with you Anna. I love you I really do and I will do anything to protect you."

I removed some strands of hair which were falling on her face. Her face shinning more because of the moonlight coming from the window.

" Take your time. I Also want you to know me and understand me. I will wait till you are ready. But I promise that I will treat you well and never break your heart. I will passionately wait for you."

I smiled but my smile dropped when I remembered my father's word and the reason behind this marriage.

" I know the reason behind this marriage was not right but i don't regret marrying you infact i started to fall for you from the day when i first saw you."

I chuckled remembering our first meeting. She was so shocked. I think it was the day when I first felt this feeling.

" but I promise that I will never betray you. No matter the reason I will never hurt you. I truly love you so there will be no planning no more lies in our relationship. I want to spend my whole life with you."

I hesitantly moved forward and leaned closer to her face and gently kissed her forehead and then again continued staring at her face.

Next morning

I woke up and first thing i saw was Edison's handsome face right in front of me.

He was so close to me.

Arm wrapped around my waist lightly hugging me. His face almost touching mine.

My heart started to race faster. Well this isn't bad for a morning view.

Why this man look so cute while sleeping but so different when awake.

I smiled and touched his nose lightly.

Am I doing right by giving you chance?

Will you not break my heart? I wanna know you properly wanna get close to you but you always seem to be distant from me.

You look like you are very different and mysterious like you are hiding something from me.

Something I need to know but what.

At the same time I want to trust you. Should I trust you Edison?

Edison groaned and slowly opened his eyes. I smiled and said as soon as he opened his eyes.

" good Morning Edison."

He suddenly opened his eyes wide looking at me with surprise.

He looked down at him hand and then at me immediately moving his hand and himself far from me.

" Sorry..I.."

Am I imagning or Edison is blushing cause his cheeks and Ear are turning red.

I must not be fully awake.

Suddenly Edison got up from the bed.

" I will be taking shower first."

Said before running inside the bathroom.

Huh? I must be imagining.

Soon after when he came out I went to shower and did my morning routine.

Wnen I came back after getting ready Edison was sitting on the edge of the bed all dressed up.
