The Lost king

Chapter 50: CHAPTER TWENTY SIX: "Light Vs Darkness"

INT. CAVERN SHRINE – NIGHT

The underground shrine pulses with crimson light. Arcane chains of glowing sigils hold Morenike, her hands scorched from resisting. Runes around her crackle with Bankode's dark energy.

Suddenly — her eyes flash gold.

With a blast of radiant light, the chains shatter into shards of magic. Morenike gasps, collapsing to her knees — then slowly stands, her aura shimmering like wildfire.

A beat of silence.

BANKODE (O.S.)

(stepping from the shadows)

So... my daughter dares defy the hand that forged her.

Morenike turns, face calm but aflame with power.

MORENIKE

You forged chains. I forged identity. I owe you nothing.

Bankode raises both hands — darkness pools behind him. Shadow tendrils whip forward, but Morenike lifts her hand, and a luminous phoenix erupts, burning through the tendrils.

The battle begins.

---

MAGICAL DUEL – LIGHT VS DARKNESS

They circle each other, speaking ancient chants, echoing across the cavern.

Bankode summons skeletal beasts made of pure shadow and bone, flinging curses that crack stone.

Morenike counters with blinding barriers of light, spirit wolves racing across the floor to intercept.

Every spell is a clash of ancestral bloodlines — father against daughter.

BANKODE

You were born of me. You are nothing without the curse I gave you!

MORENIKE

(defiant)

I was reborn through fire. My soul is mine.

She throws a searing lightning spiral, catching Bankode off guard. He roars, shielding himself in a barrier of bone — it cracks from the pressure.

Morenike and Bankode engage in a clash of magic and will. Spells and enchantments collide — light vs darkness. The air shatters with their duels: ancient chants, spiritual beasts, blazing elemental strikes.

BANKODE

You were born of me. You are nothing without the curse I gave you!

MORENIKE

I was reborn through fire. My soul is mine.

INTERCUT – REBEL RAIDS –

EXT. MOUNTAIN TEMPLE – NIGHT

Bayo and his warriors storm through the final cult chamber. A creature made from multiple fused beasts lunges from the altar.

Bayo ducks, rolls, and slices clean through the abomination, the blade glowing with the obsidian dagger's darklight.

---

INT. HIDDEN SHRINE OF SHADOWS – SAME TIME

Yemi enters a shrine thick with choking black smoke. At the center: a corrupted altar, pulsing like a heart.

Yemi lifts his blade — remembers his father's words — and drives it deep into the altar.

The shadows scream.

The shrine explodes in a wave of light.

---

BACK TO – CAVERN SHRINE

Bankode stumbles as his power begins to flicker — his connection to the altars weakening. The runes along his skin pulse erratically.

BANKODE

(gasping)

What… what have they done!?

With power surge destroyed, Bankode falters.

His spells misfire. His shield flickers. Morenike presses forward

MORENIKE

(releasing a divine sigil)

They broke your grip. Now I break you.

She steps forward, channeling ancestral light through her hands. Her magic forms a spiral seal, glowing and chanting on its own.

Morenike thrusts her hands forward.

The spell slams into Bankode's chest, exploding into a blinding column of white fire.

---

BANKODE SCREAMS.

His form flickers between flesh and shadow… until he vanished unknownly

Silence.

---

INT. SHRINE – AFTERMATH

Morenike stands alone, blood trickling from her nose, eyes dimming.

She falls to her knees — exhausted — but alive. Free.

MORENIKE

(softly)

It's done.

---

EXT. MOUNTAIN RIDGE – NIGHT

Yemi and Bayo look to the sky at the same

time as a column of golden light erupts in the distance.

They both smile — relief and awe — knowing Morenike did not fall.
