Chapter 23: GOD OF WAR
EXT. AJILOMI BATTLEFIELD – NIGHT
The air is heavy with silence.
Akin stands in the middle of the battlefield.
His body radiates golden energy.
His eyes—
No longer human.
They burn like molten fire.
The warriors of Ajilomi and the Iron Claw stare in shock.
Ogunlaja's grip tightens on his sword.
Oladele whispers—
OLADELE
"Akin?"
Iwa takes a step forward, eyes wide.
IWA
"What happened to him?"
But Akin doesn't answer.
He slowly raises his hand.
The wind howls.
The ground rumbles beneath him.
Something is about to happen.
EXT. AJILOMI BATTLEFIELD – THE STORM UNLEASHED
Basiko, the General of the Iron Claw, watches Akin with narrowed eyes.
Then—
He laughs.
GENERAL BASIKO
"You think one boy can stop an army?"
He raises his sword.
GENERAL BASIKO
"Kill him!"
The Iron Claw warriors charge.
Hundreds of them.
Akin remains still.
Then—
He claps his hands.
BOOM!
A shockwave explodes from his body.
The charging warriors are thrown backward.
Their weapons shatter.
Their armor cracks.
Akin raises his hand again.
The sky darkens.
Lightning gathers at his fingertips.
Then—
He unleashes hell.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Bolts of pure energy rain down on the enemy army.
Warriors scream in agony.
The battlefield erupts into chaos.
The warriors of Ajilomi watch in horror and awe.
Oladele mutters—
"This is not the Akin we knew."
But it is too late to stop him.
Akin is no longer just a warrior.
He is something else.
Something more.
Something unstoppable.
EXT. AJILOMI BATTLEFIELD – AFTERMATH
The Iron Claw army is in ruins.
Only a few remain standing.
Basiko, once confident, now trembles.
He grips his sword.
His eyes burn with fear.
GENERAL BASIKO
"What… are you?"
Akin steps forward.
His voice is calm, but powerful.
AKIN
"I am the son of Ajilomi."
Basiko roars and charges.
But before he can swing his sword—
Akin moves faster than the eye can see.
In a blink—
He is behind Basiko.
SLASH!
Basiko freezes.
A thin line of red appears on his throat.
Then—
His head falls to the ground.
The war is over.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – DAWN
The people of Ajilomi gather.
They have won.
But their victory is not without fear.
They look at Akin differently now.
Whispers fill the air.
"Is he still one of us?"
"What kind of power is this?"
"Is he even human anymore?"
Ogunlaja steps forward.
His voice booms.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"Akin, you have saved Ajilomi."
He looks deep into Akin's burning eyes.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"But what have you become?"
Akin does not answer.
Because the truth is—
Even he does not know.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – NIGHT
The village is silent.
The battle is over.
But victory feels hollow.
The villagers celebrate in whispers, casting nervous glances at Akin.
Children peek from behind their mothers.
Warriors lower their gazes.
Even the bravest men do not meet his eyes.
Because those eyes are no longer normal.
They burn like molten gold.
And his aura—heavy, suffocating—feels unnatural.
Akin notices it all.
He hears the whispers.
He feels the fear.
But he says nothing.
INT. OBA OGUNLAJA'S PALACE – NIGHT
The king's council gathers.
Ogunlaja sits on his throne.
His face is unreadable.
The elders are restless.
Finally, the Chief Elder speaks.
CHIEF ELDER
"Akin won us the war."
He hesitates.
CHIEF ELDER
"But at what cost?"
Murmurs of agreement.
A warrior speaks up.
WARRIOR 1
"We saw him strike down an army alone!"
WARRIOR 2
"No man should have that kind of power."
WARRIOR 3
"Is he even still a man?"
Silence.
The question hangs in the air like smoke.
Ogunlaja's voice is calm, yet firm.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"Akin saved Ajilomi."
He pauses.
Then—
OBA OGUNLAJA
"But even I do not know what he has become."
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – AKIN'S HUT – NIGHT
Akin sits alone.
Staring at his hands.
His skin glows faintly in the darkness.
Something inside him is changing.
Something he cannot control.
Iwa enters, cautiously.
She looks at him—not with fear, but concern.
IWA
"Akin… talk to me."
He doesn't answer.
She steps closer.
IWA
"You're scaring everyone."
He clenches his fists.
AKIN
"I don't understand it, Iwa."
He looks up—his burning eyes full of conflict.
AKIN
"This power… it feels like it's consuming me."
A long silence.
Then, softly—
IWA
"Then let me help you fight it."
Her words pierce through his storm.
For the first time, Akin breathes.
But outside—
Danger looms.
Because not everyone believes Akin should stay alive.
EXT. AJILOMI OUTSKIRTS – SECRET GATHERING – NIGHT
A group of warriors gather in the shadows.
Their leader, Ogunbiyi, steps forward.
His voice is cold and determined.
OGUNBIYI
"Akin is no longer one of us."
The warriors murmur.
OGUNBIYI
"If we allow him to live… Ajilomi may not survive his wrath."
A warrior hesitates.
WARRIOR
"But he saved us."
Ogunbiyi's eyes darken.
OGUNBIYI
"For now."
He grips his blade.
OGUNBIYI
"We must strike first… before it's too late."
The warriors nod.
Tonight—
They will kill Akin.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – MIDNIGHT
The moon hangs low.
The village is asleep.
But in the shadows—death is awake.
Six warriors move silently through the darkness.
Their leader, Ogunbiyi, leads the way.
Each man grips his blade tightly.
Their mission is clear.
Kill Akin before he becomes unstoppable.
INT. AKIN'S HUT – MIDNIGHT
Akin sleeps.
His breath is steady.
But his dreams are restless.
A dark voice whispers in his mind.
???
"You are not safe."
His fingers twitch.
His pulse quickens.
Outside—
A shadow moves.
The assassins have arrived.
EXT. AKIN'S HUT – MIDNIGHT
Ogunbiyi signals to his men.
They surround the hut.
A warrior raises his dagger.
He moves to strike—
Then—
Akin's eyes snap open.
His vision burns like fire.
His instincts scream.
Danger.
INT. AKIN'S HUT – MIDNIGHT
Akin rolls off his bed—just in time.
A blade plunges into the mat where he lay.
He springs to his feet.
The door bursts open!
Ogunbiyi and his men storm in.
Akin sees their eyes.
Cold. Unforgiving.
They are here to kill him.
His heart pounds.
Not from fear.
But from rage.
INT. AKIN'S HUT – MOMENTS LATER
The assassins attack.
Blades flash in the moonlight.
Akin moves like lightning.
A warrior swings—Akin ducks.
Another lunges—Akin twists, grabbing his wrist.
With inhuman strength—he snaps it.
The man screams.
Another slashes at Akin's throat.
Akin catches the blade with his bare hand.
The steel does not cut him.
His skin is too strong.
Ogunbiyi's eyes widen.
This is not the Akin they once knew.
This is something else.
EXT. AKIN'S HUT – MOMENTS LATER
The battle spills outside.
Akin dodges, counters, breaks bones.
The assassins are fast.
But Akin is faster.
He grabs one warrior by the throat—
Lifts him off the ground—
And slams him into the earth.
Another charges—
Akin meets him with a punch.
The impact sends the man flying.
Ogunbiyi watches in horror.
This is no ordinary warrior.
This is a force of nature.
And they cannot win.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – NIGHT
The noise wakes the villagers.
People gather, watching in shock.
They see the six assassins—broken and defeated.
They see Akin—standing tall.
Unscathed.
Unstoppable.
Murmurs spread through the crowd.
VILLAGER 1
"He fought six men alone."
VILLAGER 2
"And he won."
VILLAGER 3
"What is he?"
Ogunlaja arrives.
His face is grim.
He sees the fear in the people's eyes.
And he knows—
This is only the beginning.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE SQUARE – DAWN
The morning sun rises over Ajilomi.
But the air is tense.
A large crowd gathers in the village square.
Whispers. Murmurs. Fear.
At the center—Akin stands.
His clothes are torn.
His fists are still clenched from last night's battle.
Six assassins tried to kill him.
Now, the village must decide his fate.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE SQUARE – CONTINUOUS
Ogunlaja steps forward.
His voice is calm.
But his eyes are cold.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"Akin… tell us the truth."
The crowd is silent.
Ogunlaja's gaze is sharp.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"How did you defeat six trained warriors… alone?"
Akin says nothing.
Because he does not know the answer.
Something inside him awoke that night.
Something unnatural.
And now—the village fears him.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE SQUARE – MOMENTS LATER
The Chief Elder steps forward.
His voice is heavy.
CHIEF ELDER
"This is not the way of men."
The people murmur in agreement.
Akin looks around.
Faces that once smiled at him… now avoid his eyes.
They fear him.
Even Iwa looks unsure.
Akin's chest tightens.
He did not ask for this power.
But now—he is cursed by it.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE SQUARE – CONTINUOUS
Ogunlaja speaks.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"A warrior's strength should come from his training."
(beat)
"Not from something… unnatural."
The people nod.
Akin feels his stomach sink.
Ogunlaja's next words are worse than a blade.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"Akin must leave Ajilomi."
Gasps.
Murmurs.
Iwa's eyes widen.
IWA
"No! You cannot—!"
But Ogunlaja raises his hand.
Silence.
EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE SQUARE – MOMENTS LATER
Ogunlaja's voice is final.
OBA OGUNLAJA
"Akin, you are banished."
Akin's fingers tighten into fists.
His home. His people. His family.
All gone.
For something he does not understand.
For something he cannot control.
He turns to Iwa.
Her eyes are filled with tears.
But she does not speak.
Even she cannot change this.
Akin's heart breaks.
But he does not beg.
He does not argue.
He simply turns… and walks away.
EXT. AJILOMI GATES – DAY
Akin reaches the gates of Ajilomi.
The village watches from a distance.
No one stops him.
No one says goodbye.
He steps past the gates.
For the first time—he is truly alone.
But as he walks into the unknown…
He makes a silent promise.
One day, he will return.
And they will see his true destiny.
