Chapter 61: The Primordial Inheritances
As Akasha and the others made their way to the center of this realm there were some who had already made it. Currently outside of the old, dilapidated temple that housed the inheritances there were several groups of people.
There were many races gathered here, but the one who stood at the forefront were the Humans, Dragons, Demons, Winged Humans, Phoenixes, and Titans.
The Humans were led by their Prince, Orin Starfall.
The Winged Humans were led by their Saintess, Sera Vale.
The Dragons were led by their Princess, Crystalyn FrostFire.
The Demons were led by Thalos Fiend.
The Phoenixes were led by their Princess, Yonna Blaze.
The Titans were led by their Prince, Braxus Bane.
They all were looking at the temple without moving. Finally, Thalos, the demon spoke out.
"This must be where the inheritance his located. How do you all plan to handle this?"
"According to the Elders there should be three items and there are 6 of us. Not counting the ones who had yet to arrive." The one who spoke was Yonna Blaze.
"Well, we should at least wait for the temple to open right?" Sera spoke up
"I agree with Sera. Once the temple opens then let your strength determine the rest." Crystalyn added.
Hearing this the others nodded and decided to wait for the temple to open.
They didn't have to wait long because after about an hour of waiting the temple began to rumble. The old doors to the temple creaked open and out of it walked an old man.
The old man had a walking stick with a long beard that reached the ground. As he walked out of the temple, he caught the attention of everyone present. He looked around before he spoke.
"I am the Guardian of this temple. This temple is one of the lasting structures from the Primordial Times. Inside of it there are three of the most powerful inheritances this Galaxy has ever seen. There is the 'Sword of War', the blood of the 'Golden Dragon God', and the Elves 'Ode to life'.
Currently there are too many of you. The Temple doors will remain closed until the numbers dwindle down more. To be more specific I only need three of you. Die or give up the choice is up to you."
As the old man said this he turned around and entered the temple. The moment the temple doors shut again those gathered wasted no time. These were the exact items they were tasked with obtaining.
Taking the opportunity to gain first blood Thalos the demon launched himself towards Crystalyn! He threw a punch that was coated in fire that was looked as red as wine. As he threw the punch he yelled.
Law of Demonic Fire - Demonic Punch
Noticing the incoming punch Crystalyn simply turned her head and spoke
Law of FrostFire - Burning Frost
The moment she said this fire instantly ignited throughout the surroundings. Everywhere the fire traveled space froze over. Seeing Thalos approaching he controlled all the fire to wrap around his moving figure.
Seeing this Thalos attempted to evade, but he was already moving too fast and failed to completely dodge the fire.
When the fire touched him, ice began to spread from his calf muscles all the way throughout his body. Feeling the burning but yet freezing cold sensation Thalos covered his entire body in his Demonic Fire.
Well, he tried too, when he attempted to use his fire, it wouldn't even ignite anymore. Seeing this he began to panic.
Seeing him like this Crystalyn sneered
"Stupid Demon. To have only 8% of the rule of fire comprehended and yet you chose me as your opponent. Just die already." As she said this Thalos was engulfed entirely by the ice. After he was frozen the fire then began to melt the ice.
But instead of unfreezing Thalos, he melted along with the ice.
As yet another genius died the others were all engaged in their own life and death battles. When Crystalyn finished off Thalos she rushed towards another demon and engaged into another battle.
Battles were taking place all around and in the distance a group of people could be seen approaching.
It was four people and these people were Lucas, Ethan, Kael, and Krax. From the distance they could feel and clearly see the carnage going on ahead of them. Seeing this they stopped mid-flight and looked at each other.
"What the hell is going on?" Kael as always spoke before thinking.
"Tsk, the better question is what should we do." Ethan said looking at Lucas and Krax.
"I think we let them fight and then enter after they tire themselves out." Lucas said
"I agree." Krax said as he was observing everything. He was currently look at the Titan Prince in action. As he saw Braxus fighting he smiled internally while thinking.
'Perfect. System, what can I do to gain their partnership?'
[Host, you can reveal the existence of Kalpa to them. Kalpa is a planet that's independent from all major forces in the Galaxy. Usually, planets with more than one race are under the Galactic Commission's banner.]
'Okay good.'
Seeing that they all were on the same page the guys decided to fly a bit higher to observe the battles going on below.
Below the group in sky, the geniuses from all around the Galaxy were still battling. There was blood and all sorts of resounding impacts exploded all around. Aside from the Demons, no other race lost their top genius.
Currently Orin Starfall, the prince of the Humans was engaged in a 3v1. He was fighting against two males and one female phoenix. Seeing the three people approaching him he steadied his breathing and gripped the handle of his sword.
He then exhaled and when he did it seem as if the temperature of the entire battlefield dropped. The three phoenixes didn't seem to mind as they all prepared to unleash their attacks.
Before they could even utter single word Orin beat them to it.
Law of Freezing Severance - Sub-zero
The moment he said this he swung his sword horizontally and released a massive sword arc. This sword arc was so cold that the surrounding space itself froze.
When the sword arc reached the three it didn't stop at all. It sliced directly through them and continued to travel to those behind them. The three Phoenix's died on impact; the moment the sword arc touched them they were frozen to death.
Even their blood was frozen.
As the sword continued to travel some unfortunate Demons and a Dragon met the same fate as the three Phoenixes.
With the 'Sword of War' in mind Orin didn't let up one bit. He observed the landscape and found another target to engage with.
