Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Final Curtain Call
The floating platform above the ruins of the Tomb of Nazarick gleamed in the dim light of a cracked sky, the battlefield now eerily silent. The Fate participants stood in the center, staring at their twisted reflections in the mirror, the air heavy with the palpable tension of their greatest fears manifesting before them.
Luxor, his figure distant yet ever-present, watched from the edges of reality, content with how far the performance had gone. His game had reached its peak. But this wasn't a game meant to last forever.
---
"This is it." Luxor whispered, his voice like a soft breeze, yet powerful enough to shake the very core of the world. "The finale."
---
The mirror shards began to crack, sending out a burst of energy that twisted the battlefield into oblivion. In an instant, the Fate participants found themselves in a void—an empty space where the battle had already been won. Luxor had decided the outcome before they even began.
---
A sudden explosion of light erupted from the center of the platform, followed by a blinding surge of power. Luxor stepped forward, his aura enveloping everything, bathing the battlefield in his overwhelming presence.
The Fate participants, now realizing their true trial was to confront themselves, were paralyzed with the weight of their fears. But they had already been defeated the moment they set foot in Luxor's world. Luxor had already crafted their downfall.
---
"You have all done well." Luxor said, raising a hand, a smile of pure satisfaction on his face. "But the show is over."
---
With a thought, Luxor bent reality once more. The Tomb of Nazarick, the shattered battlefield, the twisting worlds—all of it vanished in an instant. The scene folded in on itself, erasing all traces of the trial he had set up.
The Fate participants found themselves back in the world they knew, standing in the center of a now-deserted arena. Ainz Ooal Gown, the final boss they had fought, was nowhere to be seen. The monsters they had battled had all disappeared, and the mirror of fears had shattered into nothingness.
---
"You didn't lose." Luxor's voice echoed across the now-empty battlefield. "You were simply outclassed by reality."
---
The Fate participants blinked, still processing the bizarre, surreal event they had just been through. They were no longer in the midst of their battle but instead left with the ghost of the trial Luxor had created.
---
Shirou, sweat dripping down his face, was the first to speak. "What just happened? Was it all... an illusion?"
Saber remained silent, her eyes narrowing. "No. It felt real... too real."
Archer, ever the strategist, was deep in thought. "It wasn't just an illusion. It was... manipulation of reality itself."
---
Luxor's presence lingered as a whisper on the wind. He had already moved on, the game finished. There was no need to continue further. The world, like all the others before it, was his to shape, bend, and forget as easily as he could blink.
---
"The show is over, heroes. But remember, in my world, you were nothing more than players in my game." Luxor's final words drifted in the air, echoing in the ears of the Fate participants.
---
And with that, the curtain fell.
The reality shifted once more, and the Fate participants were returned to their own universe, their lives continuing without knowledge of the grand performance Luxor had orchestrated. They would never remember the trial. They would never know the true power of the one who had controlled their fate.
Luxor, however, had already moved on to his next stage. The universe was his to command, and the next world awaited. His show was far from over.
---
End of Arc
---
This arc shows that the Fate participants never truly stood a chance against Luxor's unimaginable power. The trials, the fears, the monsters—they were all part of his grand performance, and once it was over, Luxor moved on, with the world left in the wake of his power.
(a/n:In short, I'm just bored of this arc kekeke)
