The Immortal Cultivation World of Male Inferiority and Female Supremacy

Chapter 433: False Infiltration and True Infiltration

Fang Zhou dismantled the door to create a hole, making it easier for the two of them to crawl through.

Outside the door was a spacious corridor flanked by a row of tall stone pillars on each side. The top was arched, painted with faded patterns, exuding a strong religious style everywhere.

Through the corridor, they could see the courtyard outside, where the vegetation had long withered, and many living corpses in priestly robes wandered about.

Night Mouse, like an NPC in a game, enthusiastically introduced the origins of these living corpses to Fang Zhou.

They were once the guards of the Sublime Church. After death, they transformed into monsters and remained faithfully guarding the church, killing any intruders with strong prowess.

The cathedral stood just across the courtyard, the colossal structure over a hundred meters tall that Fang Zhou had seen from outside earlier.

However, Fang Zhou noticed that there were many of those tower-shaped anti-aircraft guns in the courtyard, seemingly not just for defense but even serving as decorations.

With so many eyes, Fang Zhou and Night Mouse had no choice but to walk over on foot.

This filled him with resentment, wondering if Lorric City had been bombed by bombers in the past.

Installing so many anti-aircraft guns was simply insane and not friendly to pilots at all.

Night Mouse, however, couldn't quite understand Fang Zhou's grievances, having lived in this world for many years; his body was already polluted. Flying a bit left him breathless, making walking more suitable for him.

The two left the corridor and quickly moved through the courtyard towards the cathedral along a path.

There was no shortcut at this point. Night Mouse could no longer avoid all the monsters, so they could only rush through as fast as possible.

With so many anti-aircraft guns around, Fang Zhou couldn't summon the Xuanyuan Sword to fight, so he had to rely on Bi An instead.

Along the way, they encountered some undead guards. Before they could scream at Fang Zhou and Night Mouse, Bi An flew over and punched them to pieces, scattering them across the ground.

However, this punch created quite a commotion in the silent courtyard, attracting more guards.

Fang Zhou and Night Mouse no longer concealed their footsteps, sprinting towards the cathedral at full speed,

As for the guards chasing from behind, Bi An took care of each one like popping balloons.

Some undead guards occasionally appeared in front to block them, and Fang Zhou used the Ripple Divine Skill to strike them from a distance, causing bone armors and weapons to clatter to the ground, feeling akin to dismantling life-sized figures.

"Use your True Qi sparingly, or you'll run out and won't be able to recover,"

Night Mouse hastily advised Fang Zhou, fearing he might use up all his True Qi in his excitement.

Fang Zhou gave Night Mouse a confident smile, "The most important thing for a man is endurance. I might just get by in other areas, but I'm quite confident in this handsome face and my endurance."

Night Mouse: ...

Feeling slightly offended.

Seeing Fang Zhou so confident, Night Mouse decided not to say more.

Though the courtyard was broad, it didn't take long for them to reach the cathedral at their full sprint.

Once inside, Night Mouse said to Fang Zhou, "There are even more monsters inside the church, and they are more dangerous. We can't act recklessly; it's better to sneak in quietly."

Fang Zhou showed an intrigued look, "Sneak in, huh? No problem."

Night Mouse felt uneasy seeing Fang Zhou's expression, "Do you know what sneaking means?"

Fang Zhou was immediately displeased, pointing to his black outfit transformed by the Mirage Dragon Robe, "See this outfit? It's the distinct attire of an assassin—only a true master of stealth can wear it. You think I don't know what sneaking means?"

Distinctive assassin apparel...

This statement was full of loopholes in Night Mouse's eyes. Shouldn't an assassin's outfit be simpler and more ordinary?

Distinctive attire that others can spot at a glance—how can one be an assassin then?

But seeing Fang Zhou with such confidence, Night Mouse refrained from persuading him further.

Once inside the cathedral, those outside anti-aircraft guns were obscured, no longer requiring two legs for walking. Fang Zhou was elated, scooping up Night Mouse and soaring into the air.

"Woohoo~~ Liftoff~~"

Indeed, the cathedral was filled with monsters, clad in heavy armor and wielding heavy weapons, brimming with battle capability.

A heavy armor greatsword guard appeared ahead, and before Night Mouse could warn him, a golden sword light shot forth, piercing the guard's head.

Night Mouse quietly closed his gaping mouth.

Just as Night Mouse said, the monsters inside the cathedral were formidable, all clad in heavy armor, wielding swords, shields, spears, and hammers with diverse skills.

With Fang Zhou's agile speed, the two finally reached the interior of the cathedral, facing a standalone building.

Fang Zhou landed on the ground with Night Mouse, snapping his fingers and summoning back the Xuanyuan Sword, "Stealth mission accomplished!"

Stealth mission...

Night Mouse glanced back at the scattered limbs everywhere, suddenly realizing they seemed to have a different understanding of the word 'stealth'.

In all these years, he had never seen a stealth mission that involved killing everyone along the way.

Noticing Night Mouse's expression, Fang Zhou elaborated, "Sneaking around like a thief is fake stealth. True stealth is when you wipe out everyone who sees you."

Night Mouse: (* ̄︿ ̄)

Do I look like an idiot to you?

The door to the standalone building was tightly locked, and on either side were two statues imprisoned in iron cages.

The statues were kneeling, heads bowed with hoods covering their faces. From the back of their necks extended some nasty, entangled tentacle-like structures.

The symbolism of these statues was unknown, but they were disturbing to behold.

Fang Zhou went up and pushed, but the door didn't budge an inch.

Night Mouse commented, "It's no use; this door is locked and needs to be opened from behind."

Fang Zhou looked back at him, "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Night Mouse was at a loss for words. He thought there would be plenty of time to mention it during the stealth mission. Who knew Fang Zhou's method was so unique that they got there too quickly for him to speak.

"The lever to open the door is behind there. There might be monsters guarding it, so you'll have to go yourself. I'll stay here and wait."

With that, Night Mouse sat down with a tired look.

"Be careful yourself then!"

Fang Zhou advised, finding his own caution amusing.

Night Mouse had lived in this eerie place for many years, long accustomed to the environment. While lacking combat power, he was likely safer than Fang Zhou himself.

He soared into the air once again, flying around the building to the rear.

The structure was round, and as Fang Zhou flew to the back, he discovered another spacious courtyard.

However, nothing was planted here; the courtyard was a swamp.

Noting several tower-like eyes erected around the swamp, Fang Zhou quickly descended, and those eyes immediately locked onto him.

In the middle of the swamp was a pathway, leading to an iron lever likely meant to open the building's door.

As he walked along the path, the eyes remained intently fixed on him, while bubbles gurgled up from the swamp.

Fang Zhou cautiously approached the lever, seized it, and yanked hard.

With the sound of the mechanism clicking into place, the entire cathedral shuddered slightly.

"Boom!"

As Fang Zhou pulled the lever, a sudden booming sound erupted from the swamp.

A giant over twenty meters tall slowly rose from the swamp.
