The Hikigaya Couple’s Youth Romantic Comedy Is Just as Expected

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Today, I, Little Rumi, Am Here to Stir Things Up

What... did she just call me?

Hachiman seriously began to doubt whether something was wrong with his ears.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with your ears," Yukino said sharply, clearly displeased with Rumi's little stunt.

Seeing her sulky, jealous expression, Hachiman simply pulled her into a hug and gently comforted her.

When they returned to the room, Hachiman quietly laid back down on his futon, careful not to disturb anyone.

When Hachiman woke up, something felt... off. His waist and chest were wrapped in a soft embrace, and a familiar scent lingered in the air.

You've got to be kidding me...

With a growing sense of dread, he slowly opened his eyes.

What greeted him was a cascade of silvery hair. His suspicions were confirmed. The corner of his mouth twitched.

He tried to sit up, only to realize he was completely pinned down. Looking closer, he discovered that Saika's legs were wrapped tightly around his waist, his face nuzzled into Hachiman's chest, and one arm slung over his back.

Can someone please explain what the hell happened last night?

Carefully, Hachiman tried to lift Saika's legs off him. As he did, he noted that Saika's skin was surprisingly smooth. Honestly, not losing to Yukino's at all.

Wait, isn't this guy in the tennis club? Where are the muscles? What kind of sorcery is this skin care routine?

His thoughts spiraled in confusion.

Once he finally extricated himself, he was relieved to see that Saika was still fast asleep. Without making a sound, he slipped out of the room.

The moment the door closed, Saika cracked one eye open. His cheeks were flushed as he stared dreamily at the door, remembering the warmth of Hachiman's hand on his thigh. Biting his lip, he blushed deeper and snuggled into Hachiman's bedding, taking in the lingering scent.

Outside, Hachiman ran into Komachi, who was wandering nearby. He walked up and gave her a light pat on the head.

Startled, Komachi whipped around, but relaxed once she saw it was him.

"Onii-chan, you're up early today," she said with a grin.

Hachiman yawned and replied casually, "I don't know, I just woke up for no reason."

"Waking up early's good! You're basically a couch potato at home. Always sleeping or glued to your phone."

As she spoke, she looped her arm around his.

"And you have the nerve to call me out? You're always lounging around too."

"That's for your own good, you know. I don't want to come home one day and find you collapsed on the floor from sudden death."

"Yeah yeah, my thoughtful little sister, always so caring."

There wasn't a trace of sincerity in Hachiman's voice.

"Geez, you're so dismissive," Komachi pouted.

"So what are you doing out here?" Hachiman asked.

"Hehe, I just saw Yukino-nee a moment ago. She asked if I'd seen you."

"So you were waiting here for me?"

"Yup! She told me to let you know she wants to see you once you're up."

Komachi narrowed her eyes playfully. "You and Yukino-nee sure get along well these days."

Hachiman just chuckled.

He didn't reply, but in his mind, he thought, Well, we were technically married once already...

Seeing that her brother didn't respond, Komachi fell quiet too. She just held his arm as they strolled together.

Before long, Komachi led Hachiman to where Yukino was preparing breakfast.

Looking around, he realized there was no one else around just the three of them. So, Hachiman walked straight up and hugged her from behind.

"Stop it. Komachi's watching," Yukino said, though she didn't really sound shy. More like mildly annoyed.

"She's not an outsider," Hachiman said, attempting to justify himself.

Yukino didn't entertain it. She pushed him off with a light shove.

"Go away. You're interrupting my cooking."

Her nose scrunched in that classic frustrated expression.

Looking at her like that, Hachiman couldn't help himself. He reached out and pinched her nose.

Yukino immediately broke free and chomped down on his hand. It was just a light bite, though, and she let go quickly.

"If you distract me again, it won't be so gentle next time."

She flashed her silver-white teeth in warning.

Just then, Rumi walked over, her face emotionless as always. Her little feet made soft tapping sounds on the ground. Without hesitation, she dove into Yukino's arms and tilted her head up, staring at her with wide eyes.

"Mommy, I want one too."

Her cold, detached voice perfectly mimicked Yukino's usual tone, but the gleam in her eyes said something entirely different.

To Hachiman, that mischievous little face screamed nothing but trouble.
