The Hidden Past (ENGLISH)

Chapter 76: CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE

"He really didn't hesitate." That's all Giovane could say while shaking his head at the sight of the corpse.

Giovane witnessed the abrupt end of its life as bullets struck its heart three times.

He just smiled. He was with Alexander; that was the recommendation of his father to be a spy in the warehouse. Even though he was surprised by his discovery, he remained calm.

I will be the one to kill you. He thought to himself.

"What do you want to do to Giovane?" he asked him.

"Let them be," he smirked. "Let them drown in their grease." He then said this and returned to the warehouse.

"Throw that away," he ordered Alexander.

He didn't say anything. "Oh, just leave Charles alone for now; I know he has a plan in mind; I can still use that man." When Giovane thinks about that, he can't help but feel excitement in his body.

"Charles himself will tell us who his companions are; don't mind my two cousins, Roman and Alexander. Even though the Fuentes blood still runs in Charles, he despises it." He laughed at what he was saying.

"You really love playing games, but you heard that he's challenging me." He said.

In their conversation, they arrived at a room where his office was located.

"Alexander, let your games unfold in the shadows. I also have a wish for you." He immediately found the picture.

"Background check that girl; the last name is Blanco." He stared intently at Thalia's photo.

He still harbors a grudge against the Blanco family because of this clan; they almost couldn't get back on their feet, as the two journalist couples and their sibling almost brought down their name, Fuego.

He fought back with evidence that could imprison them. However, because his father was greedy for power, he resorted to violence, silencing one by one those who helped the couple as well as his sisters.

He brought the two Tejeros, Fernan and Vince, into the organization so he could directly see what was happening outside.

Fernan became cunning; he helped his sisters escape from the warehouse, but he did not succeed because he killed his two sisters with his hands, and he himself was the one who killed Fernan.

He was also the one who massacred his siblings because they were related to the Blanco; he didn't involve them anymore because he knew that clan had no more influence, and it completely quieted down when their parents were gone.

Did I make a mistake in my decision not to kill the Blanco? He questioned in his mind.

Is Vince involved in what's happening now? Vince suddenly crossed his mind. He is a Tejero; he did not show any signs of rebellion at the warehouse. I know he has no idea what really happened to Fernan back then.

He sat down in his chair and crossed his arms while contemplating the possible outcomes.

What if Vince knows what happened to Fernan? He repeated the question to himself mentally.

He suddenly felt anxious about his speculation now because he knew it was difficult to read Vince's thoughts. He knew Vince was cheerful and easy to talk to, but he didn't know what was running through his mind.

It's not like Fernan, whom he could immediately predict what he would do next, so he caught him right away.

What if that was a trap? What if Fernan was the one who was sacrificed? What if they already carried out the plan ahead of time? Next—his questions to himself continued.

He still hasn't figured out who Jake's outside helpers are; he knows that the failed plans back then didn't come from within.

I'm overthinking a lot. He rubbed his forehead.

He noticed that he was alone; Alexander had already left him.

He read a handwritten note.

I didn't disturb your thoughts; I will do what I can. I will inform you immediately, including your father. That was the letter he read back then.

He sighed, thinking too much about the possibilities that were happening.

I will not neglect it. Especially with Vince, he's a very unpredictable person. He said.

He still haunts him in his dreams; he can't forget the look he gave him; he doesn't know who the person was that shot him in his dream.

It's difficult to kill me; it takes time to bring me down to hell. He thought to himself.

Sleepiness and fatigue had already visited him, so he immediately went to his bed to rest. He needs new strength because he hasn't slept since the commotion inside the warehouse.

He still can't explain who helped with the escape from the warehouse because he didn't see any companion that helped them. It's a big question: who is the one helping the women, and who is the one who gave them the keys in each cell?

Someone suddenly entered his room, so he got up.

"Boss, we're going to the dam first." He said goodbye to him.

"They're with William and Zenne."

His ears perked up, and he looked over, knowing that he had given this person the job of spying on Zenne and William as well.

"Okay, go on." He had already given this notice: if they saw any treachery, they would kill the two.

He nodded and immediately left his room. He regrets the inclusion of two of his excellent subordinates in the organization.

That's how it is; eliminate those who obstruct the path of the Fuego family. He thought to himself back then.

He could only smile at what he was thinking. The world continues to turn, and people like him with a hollow stomach continue to live.

There are indeed many masks that people wear in the world, allowing them to easily hide behind different faces. They say people are unique among other species here on earth. He just said to himself as he closed his eyes, his body was calling him to rest for a while.

Well, I will take my nap to get rid of this anxiety I'm feeling right now.
